The Mechanical battle between the older model 101 & the younger version of the killing machine was epic , the machines actually studying each other and realized that it could only be one , of course the younger age model of the t 800 had a higher advantage because it was fresh out of the factory... I love how you can tell the old T800 isn’t as strong as the new one and more susceptible to breaking. I like that detail that shows old Arnold’s endoskeleton is worn from so many years of use
Certainly not the best of the Terminator movies but this scene is great as you get that nostalgic feeling about it and when you hear Arnold. Of course, there is no excuse the sniper would not be set up or Arnold did not have a better weapon after having a long time to prepare.
Terminator 2: the T800 takes a 50-cal bullet sized pipe through its chest. After powering down, it activates an alternate power source to continue operating, regardless of extensive previous damage. Genisys: T800 takes a bullet through the chest. Dies. Alright, no problemo.
@@spygo4513 Except, that T800 isn't from new Skynet. Thats the one from the original timeline that was sent back. The T1000 was from the new Skynet. Of course this then makes it weird cuz there should be two Kyle Reeses, if we assume the start of Genisys was continuing the Salvation future.
because in t1 that amount of knockback doesnt make any sense knowing how strong and dense terminators are supposed to be given the same movie's own lore. but nobody cared about that in that movie for some crazy reason. its almost as if trying to meet the standards of current day terminator fans is impossible because even when you DO do something more accurate to the source material than the originals, you're STILL wrong because the originals are perfect anyway because i said so. its almost as if that.
Nah...I would imagine that reprogramming a sentient machine that was originally built and programmed by other machines to be monumentally difficult (I doubt machines would comment their lines of programming so that it's easy to find the code you're looking for) and would probably require very specific equipment. Neither the knowledge nor the equipment would exist in the present.
If Terminator Genisys has a sequel then they can have old Arnold Schwarzenegger fighting young Robert Patrick while young Arnold Schwarzenegger getting his clothes and have to help the old Arnold Schwarzenegger along along with Kyle Reese and Sarah Connor(CGI young Linda Hamilton) to defeat T- 1000.
And then when the next terminator movie comes put u gonna say "dark fate wasn't that bad" cuz that's the only thing u people know what to do, hate on it just cuz everyone else does
The first movie established that a shotgun blast has enough impact to throw a Terminator off balance, and repeated shots will knock it down briefly. Also, if you’ve got a gun powerful enough to penetrate right through the metal skeleton, why would you shoot it in the “heart” area? It’s not a human being. Aim for the head, to take out the CPU.
1. They needed the CPU 2. She took out the power core...although in salvation they say that its essentially a very small nuclear reactor...so im 90% sure there should have been a nuke going off with that shot
In the first Terminator a shotgun blast was sufficient at close range obviously Kyle Reese knew that which is why the only time he has done that with its back turned being that close to it other times shoot at gas tanks at the face for distraction shooting it in that area probably with a termite tip 50 cal round is perfect to penatrate the combat chasey and collect the CPU for time displacement equipment.
"You won't be needing any clothes" The exact second this movie fell to shit. The intro was so based and got me so pumped up I could hardly stand it. Then I realized Arnold was going to fight Arnold and delete the entire first two films timelines and it was dumb as hell after that with way too many cheesy jokes. The Arnold CGI was awesome though. Makes him look like an actual robot.
Plot twist: Those three punks that the T-800 ganks for clothes in the original timeline: by not ganking them, they eventually go on a path of computer engineering and single handedly defeat Skynet with their own virus and save the planet.
Guys let's be for real the sniper was unloaded because the person who shot the T800 went late and had to defeat the t800 before it could defeat Arnold.
I know it's been commented on many times, but Kyle Reese was completely miscast in this film. Michael Biehn played the part as a war-torn, high-strung individual who knows no other life. The new actor didn't understand the character and plays him like an action hero.
For anyone new to the franchise, a terminator's flesh covering will age with time (as a human's would) so the new arrival here would be fresher off the assembly line than the one that was waiting for him. However, since they both have the same T-800 series endoskeleton beneath, they are in fact perfectly evently matched in terms of strength and capacities.

I hadnt seen GoT yet when this came out, so I didn’t know Emilia Clarke. I thought she was passable as a young Linda Hamilton. Not a dead ringer by any means, but close enough to be able to suspend disbelief.
The actor for Kyle Reese was just terrible. Didnt look like him and the actor didnt seem to embody the Reese character at all.
Emilia is great but she's not really Sarah Conner. They needed someone more charismatic. Emilia here looks like an office assistant shooting guns. Reese was a poor choice tho. Too buff. They should've picked someone unknown rather than thinking Jai Courtney was on a hot streak which he wasn't.

YaBigBoii II go watch t3000 vs t800 then
I think this movie started out quite good. The first bad thing I noticed was the poor casting choice for Kyle Reese, but I was willing to forgive it. I like the concept of the old Terminator and I thought Sarah Connor was awesome. The movie started to show it's cracks as soon as they traveled to the future. It fell off the cliff when evil John Connor showed up.
I do t know, I kind of liked the fact John got turned into the very thing he trained most of his life to fight and kill. Sort of the whole, "Die the hero or live long enough to become the villan," frase. Maybe it could've been handled better, but I still don't think it deserved all the hate it got

They can de-age Arnold, but not the other original actors.
Terminator 2: the T800 takes a 50-cal bullet sized pipe through its chest. After powering down, it activates an alternate power source to continue operating, regardless of extensive previous damage.
Genisys: T800 takes a bullet through the chest. Dies.
Alright, no problemo.
So when reese shoots the t800 with a shotgun (back in T1) it puts him on the ground. But when pops shoots him he just shrugs it off. Right.
Have you seen this 1 new terminated it's in alternative time so skynet must have sended it's finest. 1 to complete the work
Range. Most of the shotgun shots in T1 are point-blank, whereas these are from several yards away from a gun that isn't particularly useful at range
It shouldn't have been that easy to destroy the new T800. If it took an entire film to destroy "Pops" back in 1984, they could have extended it a bit.

Would of been neat if they reprogrammed the captured Arnold and have 2 of them fighting for good. Old and young Arnold terminator.
Goldenface they probably wouldn’t have enough money to keep the young Arnold CGI up. The budget is too low.
They could find a way to damage the face enough to let a bodybuilder lookalike to get away with some shades and maybe some face prosthetics.
good luck putting it offline long enough to try to reprogram it.

Then Jared Leto shows up and says something about "Morbn' Time".
She hit it's power core.
They needed the cpu
1. They needed the CPU
