Why do people say that as if he was a natural LB?
@@jgooner894It’s ridiculous, he’s always been a winger and only played left back because of Emery. People go on like he’s played there all his life and only recently been moved to the wings. They all claim it’s because he’s left footed and it gives the team balance but all complain that it’s not fair to play Foden on the left because it’s not his favoured position, even though he’s left footed and supposed to be a generational talent, head and shoulders above Saka. The agenda and contradictions are crazy.
He played there for probably 5-10 games WHEN HE BROKE INTO THE ARSENAL FIRST TEAM. That's not the same as actuality playing there. Gareth bale was a lb, went lw. Did rm buy him as a lb? Emerson played as a cm, would you tell him to take his gloves off & come play there for Brazil?

I think Saka was ok, he dribbled past few times but was lacking a full back like Carvajal does for Yamal or Kimmich. Saka could have done better but Foden was always outmuscled by their RB that was like 37 or something.

@@Jasonmulla No he isn't. Every single attacker be it Palmer, kane, Gordon, Foden or Bellingham are all better. He should play LB because no one else can play there an he would create space for better fowards to get in to the team.

He'll need to play there for potentially 3 games. It's not his fault that Southgate didn't bring a fit left back but him going there makes the team much more balanced and enables us to gets another player such as Palmer or Eze playing and it will also help Foden out. Much better players than Saka have had to compromise playing in their best position for the betterment of the team. But because he's an Arsenal player, their fans will have a meltdown at the idea that their starboy is out of his best position.
This is why England is a long way from winning anything.

Southgate maybe not be the best manager but atleast he did a smart move there. You also have a player with a fast pace that can intercept long balls. Why is everybody in disbelief???

I would play 3 at the back in the next round. Put Trent and Saka as wing backs, Walker stones and another CB, Bellingham and rice holding and foden and palmer up with Kane. Fixes our LB issue, more protection at the back and more creativity going forwards.
Somebody who gets football. 5 at the back has its shelf life I feel as teams eventually seem to work out how to play against teams; however, I think its what is needed for these 3 potential games. It will also be better than old 5 at the backs we had with Young or Trippier at LWB. It will also give more freedom to whoever plays out of Bellingham/Foden/Palmer
