I went to boot camp this past summer (2019) a d made it to week 7. I had a horrible breakdown. When I got sent to the hospital I couldn't think and when I finally heard my parent's voice I lost it on the phone. I never felt more ashamed and beaten down in my life, and considering things I have been through that is not saying it lightly. I felt better after a day in the hospital, and then this one girl I met there was wanting to play this on the piano and couldn't find the right notes and pitch and she had the lyrics on a single sheet. I know this song, heard it like crazy on the radio station cuz they always were pumping it out. So I asked if I could sing it to help. And then next thing I knew she wasn't even trying to play the piano and not trying to stop me and I literally for the first time sang a full song in front of someone. And this song has kinda now been my anthem to a degree. This song always takes me back to that room in the hospital, me wearing my blue scrubs in socks and my "no rain, no rainbows" sweatshirt singing this song to this girl with bi polar issues. This is my most healing song I have had for myself ever and I will always treasure it.

I have to perform this at my school in front of more then 100 people and if you don’t mind reading I’m gonna tell a quick reason why I’m doing this: Right now there is five days left of school until summer.About a week ago a girl asked the lunchroom staff if she could sing. She came up to the stage at the front of the cafeteria. One of the staff there said she was going to be singing, so I immediately got interested as I love singing. All eyes were glued to her..... She picked up the mic and said she was nervous so we cheered for her. We all stopped and she started singing lost boy. She was reeeeeally good!!! At the end me and my group of 4 friends were really impressed! The five of us were planning to go tell her she was really good after lunch. But when we got outside one of my friends wanted to talk to me alone which was very weird, because we always told each other everything in a group. I went with her and we went somewhere silent. “This girl isn’t so pretty perfect, kind hearted might think she is” At first I thought she was joking. But she said a firm no. She explained this girl was really rude and wasn’t respectful. I told her to prove me wrong when I thought she was all nice and stuff. I told the rest of the group and they thought I was joking too. Once again, a firm no. We went up to her without her noticing while she was talking to someone. This is word for word what she was saying. “Yeah I know! They are so stupid and can’t even sing” That’s when it was like a movie in my own eyes. I went up to her even though my friends tried to stop me. B=singer girl M=me of course M “I love your voice your so good!” X “aww thank you” M “You might sound good, but let me tell you if you want to have a good reputation and make it far in your singing career, then don’t make it a bad one.” X. “What do you mean?” *shocked pikachu face* M. “I heard everything you said” X. *still has shocked pikachu face as I walked away* “stupid jerk” M. “I HEARD YOUUUUU” Now my kind of mission is to prove that anyone can sing voices good or bad.
