Saki, I can't find my wireless charging settings on my Note 10 Plus. I went to my battery settings and only saw wired fast charging option turn on but nothing to do with wireless. The phone still wirelessly charges.
Netflix doesn't even drain that much battery life. I only lose about 3, maybe only up to 5 percent per (24 minute) episode on optimized mode @ 50% brightness.
For those who experience battery drain fast at note 10 plus, try to turn off adaptive battery and adaptive power saving. From my own experience, my first week using note 10 the battery was quite horrible. I have tried all the battery saving tips. I'm using it for chat, instagram, twitter, youtube, video call, and connected to galaxy watch. 100% at 7 am, and 40% at 1 pm. Horrible right? I read all the possibility on the internet, and found some people faced the same problem with mine, some doesn't. Then I try one suggestion to turn off the adaptive battery and adaptive power saving (different location in setting). Now my battery goes from 100% at 7 am, and 34% at 9:30 pm with the same usage as before (optimized battery mode on). I even turn on WQHD display screen. Amazing! I cannot explain what happened, but I'm so satisfy with the result. Now it's been 2 weeks and the battery life is great. I've never run out of battery before sleep, and I always charge with fast charging off (to prevent overheat). I hope this help!

Okay I really love your videos, but I thought you'd be the last person to say fhd+ resolution does anything to battery life. The screen has fixed amount of pixels, they all light up no matter the rendering resolution. All we're changing in the 'resolution' section is the render resolution. It only offloads some of the processing from the cpu/gpu, but still all the pixels on the screen light up. I dont know how people are getting caught in this marketing sham.
Getting a full day (pretty extensive usage), which is just fine. I have the common sense display settings, but not much more drastic than that. Dont feel like turning a 2019 flagship into a 2007 flip phone just so can have 3 days of juice.
What a terrible way to look at things. If you need something turn it on. If you don't turn it off. It's that simple. Disabling unused stuff doesn't make a phone basic, it means I don't use bluetooth so why should I have it running 24/7 type of scenario. To each their own though. I'm not lazy, so I don't mind toggling when I require a feature. If you want the best of both worlds, you're gonna have to put some effort into it, or suffer on one of the two sides.
@@smokinamby I think what it is, is most people don't really know how to use all these features or even know what they mean. My buddy is a a/v tech and I had to explain to him for to use the power saving mode and he still doesn't use it correctly and is always complaining how his phone is dead. Best way to save battery: settings>device care>battery> then check which apps use the most battery in the background , I'll save you time, Snapchat #1 consumer, Instagram is #2 and those are the big ones for me, then click on the settings in the top right, go to sleeping apps and put the apps you choose on the sleeping apps list and that will prevent Snapchat or any app you select from doing anything at all in the background. You still get notifications, however it does NOTHING when you aren't using it. Doing this on my note 10+ has made my battery drain 30% in 3 hours of constant use to around 20% or less. I was at 65% around 4 hours ago and I've been watching RUclips for a few hours and I'm at 43%. For additional powersaving, do everything else in this video
I didn't even notice my NFC was on, wow. Good info. After 6 Months of note 10plus battery performance has been come to 15 to 20 percent . I have done all the settings what u have mentioned in video . From India
I have Note 10+ since end of August and from my experience I found out that if you turn off some features (location, Bluetooth, WiFi/M.Data, AOD, Edge touch, Dolby Atmos, power saving-on, ...) when you don't need them then they will extend the battery life up to 50% extra. I start my day @ 8 am with battery 100% until 8 pm it use 60% with average of 5% per each hour with most of my features are on. Then at night before sleeping my bed time routine start work turning off all features that's I don't need them while I'm sleeping including Sync & net connection. In this way, my battery consumption dropped from 5% into 1% per each hour. In this way, my Note 10+ can last the 24h easily and I charge it in the morning one hour before my day start again 😊
Good video, the problem is I use a lot of these features! If I turn off all of these things, I might as well buy a cheaper phone that doesn't have them, no?
Many people that I know with Android's either forget or don't know how to use the battery saver. I permanently use medium power saving mode and it extends the battery life quite a bit. My buddies phone is always dying because his job makes him talk on the phone all day, I tell him all the time to use maximum power saving but he never does. My phone stayed on 1% for almost an hour on maximum power saving mode. If you won't have a charger anytime soon and your phone is under 10%, I highly recommend to use maximum power saving mode. @@jairesemccoy9779 I have a Note 10+ and love the phone. And honestly 4500mah is not going to change things significantly enough. I'm talking about 7000mah and higher with the same form factor. This type of change would require a different battery technology like graphene batteries.

Hate that they took away battery saving setting for GPS, that way I could use it for apps that needed it sometimes like Google search but also enable high accuracy mode as needed for GPS. I routinely got 2 days battery life on my note 8 this way.
Use Bixby routines. I have it set to only turn on location services when using maps, waze, or whatever else needs location services. When I exit those apps, location/GPS turns off!
Moses Kyle McCarter I use Bixby Routines as well as other things like Macrodroid. But I have a question for you to see if you’re having the same issues. I used to Routines from Good Lock on my Note 8 and was looking forward for it to be baked into the phone. Now while it’s good, I actually found that the Routines form Good Lock had more choices to control things. Like it took me forever to find a way to make a make shift Trusted Places in Smart Lock. Since Smart Lock still doesn’t work great (specifically Trusted Places, everything else works well), I used Routines from Good Lock to recognize if I was connected to my home WiFi and it would then keep my phone unlocked. There isn’t an option in Bixby Routines and then I found if you use the Home location you can also choose a a WiFi network that will help, but it’s still using the location which I didn’t really want it to. It’s still much much better than Smart Lock. ironically my phone claims it’s Smart Lock that’s working. Now I used to have an option that would make my phone get brighter when it disconnects from my WiFi. I would also have it turn on NFC at the same time. My thought was if it disconnects from my home WiFi it means I left the house and therefore I would need the screen brighter (I could always turn it down) and could also mean that I may go into a store and buy something with Samsung Pay so I’d want NFC turned on. Yet I can’t seem to find an option in Bixby Routines that will make it work when it disconnects from my home WiFi. I hope you know how to do that. I would greatly appreciate it.
Moses Kyle McCarter I appreciate the suggestion, but I don’t use Tasker. When I tried that out vs. Macrodroid, I went with Macrodroid. I’m still not certain if I made the right decision. Sometimes I think so and other times I don’t. I don’t have my phone rooted and I don’t want to root. The point that doesn’t make sense is now that Routines is built into the phone vs going through Good Lock it got worse. It still good, but not as good as the other version and I really don’t know why. Why would they do that? But on the brighter side of things, I did find a way that does sort of use my WiFi through Bixby Routines. It’s hidden, but if you choose under your if for the option to be home, you’re address will come up and a map. What happens though is your keyboard actually blocks part of the screen. So if you hit somewhere else on the screen it makes you keyboard go away and then you notice there is an option in case of your location getting messed up that you can use a WiFi (unfortunately only one WiFi network) that it will work with. So I sort of have it through Bixby Routines. It works most of the time. I’m just not certain how much juice it using since it is gong through location first and foremost before it looks for the WiFi. I figured if you’re like me, then you might like to know. I like to learn things in case I need them in the future.
When the phone has a new update all this changes in the phone mine doesn't show like urs as soon as i press device care mine shows a smiley face on top n says optimize now i chose it or not
Good video, but the screen resolution has almost 0% impact on battery life. It has been tested with identical note 10+'s and a battery drain test. The end result was the one with WQHD died seconds before the one that had FHD+ . so why not to get the most of the 1100$ phone display? P.S. I don't mean to be rude, just my own opinion. With the rest I totally agree. Cheers
Thanks for the tips but I'll turn on everything you said specifically the WQHD display. I bought this device for the display and screen and i don't want to compromise what I bought
Yup. I have my note 10 plus on full beast mode and I still get 5 to 6 hours of screen on time. No issues for me. A quick 20 to 30 minute charge with the 25 watt charger will get me through the day if needed.
Yes, you can overcharge a battery. Charge when your battery meter goes into the red (usually about 15%). Charge it continuously until it reaches 100%. Then unplug it because the charger will continue to attempt putting power into the battery (that's one of the reasons people have batteries that balloon, or swell, in their phones). It is best to charge your phone while it is off so you dont have the "push & pull" effect (pushing power into the battery while apps on the phone are pulling power away) but most people can't so use the phone at a minimum while it is charging. Allow your phone to completely die once a month and charge it back to 100%. This is what's taught to Batteries Plus Bulbs employees. I worked there for 8 years.
Exynos version battery life is so bad. It dropped from 100% to 98 % in 2minutes and I'm already using battery saving mode... overnight standby drop about 15% wth..
Hi man how are you doing? I guess i watched a video for you talking about putting apps to sleep in a specific time like 1 or couple days and boom it goes to sleep if i don't use jt.. i need this video link pls
Yo i recently got a Note 10 + but my phone is finished learning my usage patterns and i am on 93% but it doesn't say full day it says 15hours minutes is something wrong with my battery or is the battery going to get better.
I switched from iPhone 11 to this thinking my battery life will be the dam same or more and its alot less 😐 i bad to see what I can shut down since some I don't use and I even did darkmode which is kinda better than on my iPhone
Hi, so I just recently got the note 10 plus and I wanted to find out at what percent should the phone need to be before I charge it again. The reason is I don't want to end up destroying the battery life.
i love my note10 plus but keep dropping out i am with Telstra change the sim 2 time and i still got the same problem and i am not Havier user any have the same problem?
One more tip. If the mentioned tips don't help your phones battery life try wipeing the cache by powering off the phone and hold vol up and power. Select wipe cache with the vol and power then reboot the phone
Saki, I can't find my wireless charging settings on my Note 10 Plus. I went to my battery settings and only saw wired fast charging option turn on but nothing to do with wireless. The phone still wirelessly charges. Ps. I just contacted Samsung and learned the wireless charging settings does not exist . It automatically set to charge wirelessly. Also the battery must not go below 50% to maintain battery life when charging.
Display might report as high as 75% of battery usage, but that's not including the hidden battery drainers. The reality is more like 20% screen 80% CPU battery usage on modern phones (though the software won't be honest and tell you otherwise).
Good tips but you left off the biggest one being Sync! I get the most extension from turning that off when I am not using the phone. My combination is to turn off sync, blutooth, wifi, nfc, gps, and adaptive battery. I can't use my phone at work. Before I did this phone would be in high 60s after a 10 hr day with playing RUclips about an hour in the morning and 30 minutes at lunch and checking periodically through the day. After above routine battery would be mid 80s with same usage routine.
Hi does anyone know how to stop battery draining, I recently just got a Note 10 plus but the battery is draining , It still says learning battery usage SO Should I wait or return it and ask for a new battery.
Making this comment before even watching this video to say I'm getting a little over 7hrs on screen time. I get almost 2 days battery when used lighty and the phone sits idle for periods of time. Anyone with half a brain that has used Android phones before should know what generally kills battery on these devices. I'll say that Samsung has helped with the "optimise" setting as well. Turning off the Always on display saves a lot of idle battery time too.
Another awesome video … !!! I learned more about how to save battery on my Note 10 Plus. Now I can put this beast to the test and see just how long the battery will last without charging ….. Thanks again for another great tech video … !!!
Battery life on the note 10 plus is pretty bad anyways. The Spen drains alot even when not in use. Standby time is non existent compare to an S10 plus changing screen resolution only saves like 10-20mins.
I have mine set at maximum resolution, night mode and a dark wall paper. Still it gives me more than a day. Whats the use of not cranking it up if you cant witness how beautiful the screen is. Charging takes just an hour anyway which i feel unfair sometimes haha more than a day of usage for an hour of charging is splendid
Scroll notification bar down > Press & hold location icon (it will show you recent apps that used location) > click on those app (eg Facebook) and turn off location in "permission" option.
Samsung uses both NFC and MST. But while using an NFC terminal I believe even with NFC disabled it will still work for payments, just not other NFC uses like music pairing and transferring files.
Turn the 5G off unless you actually need it that helps shitloads. Cant get a 5G signal to save my life round my area so what's point. Wished I'd of just got note 10+
Theres 7 5G masts on 02 opening up soon where as vodafone already have 7 up and running same as EE with there 7 masts so basically yes it isn't up and running. 4G isn't up and running in rural eras only just get H in braithwell uk
Currently watching this on my note 10+ cause my ass thought I put it on charge last night and passed out on the Xanax lmao now ya boy only got 46% going on a date no charger I got this now boysssss
Mainly of you put it on the lowest power consumption level. Somehow on medium my phone was able to last more than three days, but was because I didn't use it
I’ve heard about changing the resolution to the middle option. Out of curiosity, how much battery will that save us? Also, then why did we buy the Note 10+? Wouldn’t we have been better if buying the Note 10 since it’s resolution is worse? To me I look at the screen to my phone the most out of everything that I do with the phone, so wouldn’t it make sense to do every other option, but this. Also if you were going to take this option then when you actually put it on the highest resolution? When you watch movies and play games, I’m guessing? Well I think watching movies and playing games I believe can be a big battery drain, so then shouldn’t we just not watch movies and play games? Also do you need the phone visibility on for Bluetooth and/or NFC to work? I went blank, I can’t remember. I don’t think so, but wanted to double check.
When we go boondocking with our camper (no power or water source, etc) we might be out for several days. The ability to hove the ability to stretch out battery life so we can make/receive phone calls, use texting allows us to keep in touch or make emergency calls.
One more thing, think about what is happening in the Bahamas. No power where they were decimated by Hurricane Dorian. The ability to maximize battery life could save your or loved one lives. Power blackouts, floods, tornados, earthquakes, wild fires, stuck in a snowstorm, off the road in a ditch and not visible from the road....the list goes on when you want or need to maximize your battery life. What and how you use your phone is up to you, but having this information in your back pocket may be really handy someday

@@elyksesom oh nice, thx for the tip! I've never messed with Bixby, didn't know that was thing.
@@Scott13131 for something that specific I would suggest Tasker. I don't think Bixby is that robust, as yet.
Exactly right. I'd rather charge my phone again than compromise shits on what I bought it for at the first place
Yup. I have my note 10 plus on full beast mode and I still get 5 to 6 hours of screen on time. No issues for me. A quick 20 to 30 minute charge with the 25 watt charger will get me through the day if needed.

When u get the phone should u charge it first or drain the battery then charge it always wondered this. And can u over charge a battery
How much battery does widget take? Should I just keep it simple and save on battery?
TY so much Very helpful!!
Thank You. The informatiom is really helpful.
Exynos version battery life is so bad. It dropped from 100% to 98 % in 2minutes and I'm already using battery saving mode... overnight standby drop about 15% wth..
Mine is Exynos version too. dropped 2% within 1 hour.. with AOD show always.. optimized mode.

Yo i recently got a Note 10 + but my phone is finished learning my usage patterns and i am on 93% but it doesn't say full day it says 15hours minutes is something wrong with my battery or is the battery going to get better.
Hi
After the Android 10 Update my Phone is giving me 17 hour not 1 day like earlier before Android 10 update
Iam using a note 10 plus
Same here
I switched from iPhone 11 to this thinking my battery life will be the dam same or more and its alot less 😐 i bad to see what I can shut down since some I don't use and I even did darkmode which is kinda better than on my iPhone
Hi, so I just recently got the note 10 plus and I wanted to find out at what percent should the phone need to be before I charge it again. The reason is I don't want to end up destroying the battery life.
i love my note10 plus but keep dropping out i am with Telstra change the sim 2 time and i still got the same problem and i am not Havier user any have the same problem?
sleeping apps is another way of saving battery
One more tip. If the mentioned tips don't help your phones battery life try wipeing the cache by powering off the phone and hold vol up and power. Select wipe cache with the vol and power then reboot the phone
Very good video....Thx
Saki, I can't find my wireless charging settings on my Note 10 Plus. I went to my battery settings and only saw wired fast charging option turn on but nothing to do with wireless. The phone still wirelessly charges.
Ps. I just contacted Samsung and learned the wireless charging settings does not exist . It automatically set to charge wirelessly. Also the battery must not go below 50% to maintain battery life when charging.
Am I the only one who knew all this even before watching this and just checked this one to check if I missed anything?
I'm using Note 10 plus. I've been watching this video for 4 minutes and my battery went from 23 to 18. What happened here ?
Idk :( for me it's give 5 hours on screen time

Hi Sakitech. I was using one hand mode on my Note10+ recently. Been wondering how much battery life would it save by using one hand mode only. Thanks!
So that case we'll protect it if I drop my phone it's going to protect the screen from cracking
Hi does anyone know how to stop battery draining, I recently just got a Note 10 plus but the battery is draining , It still says learning battery usage SO Should I wait or return it and ask for a new battery.
I'm using Samsung Note 10+. Last time, there is Power Mode. But, since i updated this handphone, no Power mode anymore...
PhoneBuff test proves that changing resolution from 1440 to 1080 has no effect on battery life
Making this comment before even watching this video to say I'm getting a little over 7hrs on screen time.
I keep my NFC off still use my Samsung pay I think it turns NFC on automatically then shuts it off when I exit Samsung pay

So how do you turn off apps in location that you don't want using and keep apps, IE: maps for location???
Scroll notification bar down > Press & hold location icon (it will show you recent apps that used location) > click on those app (eg Facebook) and turn off location in "permission" option.

Battery life was reduced from 24h to 13h after the new update. What can this do? Shows 24 hours of battery life before to the update

BTW: what version of android you have on this Phone?
tip, you don't need NFC enabled to use Samsung pay since it utilizes mst.
Samsung uses both NFC and MST. But while using an NFC terminal I believe even with NFC disabled it will still work for payments, just not other NFC uses like music pairing and transferring files.

How can your phone last for 5 days at maximum mine is only 2 days. Can u plz respond
"Killing my battery, in case I need it, get educated."
What's the point of having this phone if you turn off all the good features about this phone. Not a great video lol
He said in extreme situations when you are stranded these options could save you tons on battery.
@@soulreaper4life1 fair enough
What and how you use your phone is up to you, but having this information in your back pocket may be really handy someday
what's the point of having these things enabled if you're not using them?
Great tips. Very useful

@@65781436 Thank you but there is no mobile data toggle when I try to change the button order. It seems to be missing. Do you know how to add it in my Quick settings toggle in the notification panel?
Akshat Bhardwaj When you do that there isn’t an icon where there are extra icons to move into the Quick panel? Do you have a theme enabled? If so, maybe that can be messing something up. I know I’ve always had that already in that area. I you sure you didn’t just glance right by it? K do t know if my settings automatically bring over the way I had it set up on previous phone. I don’t think so, but I know that wasn’t an option because it already existed there.
