Hate it that this happened, but we always try to find a way to learn from both our mistakes or misfortunes, or those of others. As long as it is the best interest of our community. We did have the opportunity to talk briefly with the family and we were glad to hear that they were doing as good as can be.

Hey yep we have been watching FOS and Less Junk and Untethered as well they are all great folks! Ron and I both also love history and I think that channel has popped up and we have watched quite a few of the videos sometimes I don't pay attention of the name just click play. I am so glad almost every one of you guys mentioned what u don't watch boy I wish more people would quit clicking on all that click bait. We get tired of all the people who are always quitting or breaking down or putting down people , other channels or businesses it's so sad! Great subject this month loved it! Hope we see u soon!

When I did training I would everyone of them this job is like playing baseball...nothing counts unless you get home safe.

333 rule is a very good one. Ive been towing over 40 years. SPEED kills! SLOW DOWN and enjoy the journey. Im also a retired firefighter of 29 years. Thank you for the kind words toward my Brothers saving those people.

We were just doing a few stops on 101 as well and enjoying some great camping but yes 101 has a lot of curves and can have many accidents on it so it is a road you have to be extra cautious on. Totally agree with all those rules we have the same we try to only do a couple hours a day and we try to only do a couple driving days in a row. Best to just be in vacation mood and relaxing right away. I know I cant believe how many people zoom by in Trailers and fifth wheels and I swear they are for sure going 75 to 80 ridiculous. Well I know the rain doesnt help the 101 I hope they are safe I am sure whatever caused them to go off the road was a shocker and not how they wanted to spend an afternoon on the coast. Love those first responders always thankful for them! Thanks for sharing hope to see you soon!

Yeah.. we have made lots of motorist frustrated because we don't rush. We take every opportunity to get out of the way, but won't sacrifice safety for speed. Thanks Wendy.
My rule of thumb is drive no more than 4 hours. Don't drive during rush hour. As much as possible plan week long trips to leave early on a Saturday or Sunday morning and be off the interstates before traffic builds.

We do the 3-3-3 rule too and do NOT go above 60 mph

Just the other day, my husband passed a truck and travel trailer that had flipped. He said they were literally crushing the travel trailer like a tin can because there was nothing left. I’m guessing speed played a factor. Just slow down - it’s not worth the risk to get there 20 minutes earlier.
