Really enjoyed new orleans but they really need to do something about the safety, after 10pm you cannot walk around without guys in the french quarter or anywhere
“There’s nothing like Mardi Gras in the world” in glad she rephrased it, because there literally are other carnivales since it’s a Catholic based festivity lol “fasching”, brazils carnival and Venice carnivale 😆
@@F1av1o LOL More respect for the Creators little brazilian. So history : "The Rio Carnival has its festive origins from the Paris Carnival and the Nice Carnival. Indeed, Brazilian popular traditions were similar to Entrudo at the time. Of Portuguese origin, this somewhat brutal celebration announced the first days of Lent. The Carioca upper bourgeoisie, dissatisfied with these carnival traditions, introduced the much more festive and elegant French rites. The Rio Carnival as we know it today has its origins in French parades."

One day they’ll see the hand appear out of nowhere and start writing on the wall. The most vilest festival in America.

On the day of Epiphany aka 6th of January

even her rephrasing was wrong as the philadelphia mummers parade is a tradition similar to mardi gras and influenced by the mardi gras parade.
Also Trinidad Carnival Catholic based.
This is some bull not 1 native Louisiana person.. I'd rather celebrate with the black mardi gras indians ..

I HATE NOLA AND MARDI GRAS!
Me and my family refuse to worship pagan gods.
Nothing compares to Rio de janeiro.
But the French Quarter is prettier than Rio de Janeiro and people in New Orleans speak English.
@@AmandaFromWisconsin Poor people. Portuguese is the most lovely language in the world.
