I have a hunter knife myself. My grandfather bought it in 1962 I think, he had his own fishing boat and it's been used countless of hours untill he died in the 90's, then my father got it, and he gave it to me last year and I use it almost every time I'm hunting or fishing!! It's an outstanding knife. The quality is unbelievable. It looks almost new except the writing on the side is almost gone and the wood has become a bit darker. But for 54 years of usage I'd say that's okey!! How are you enjoying the knife now two years later?
I live in Norway, and just ordered the "Villmarka Stor" from the same company, somewhat basing this decision on the idea that i would get better bang for my buck than if i bought imported knives (due to import taxes). I was not really familiar with this brand, so happy to hear that it is good quality. I kinda expect that from stuff made here in Norway. Selling bad quality stuff is similar to a scam, and a shameful thing to do IMO... The Norwegian culture make us expect everything Norwegian to be of a reasonably high standard... This goes for products being made, and politics and personal behavior... This is not to say that ALL Norwegian craft is quality work, and we definitely have both assholes and idiots here too, LOL! But we generally consider Norwegian made stuff to indicate good quality...
Lovely wood on that piece. I have some chisels with American Hornbeam handles that look very similar. I would guess that this may be some species of beech. Nice review, thank you for sharing.
thanks for review, gonna be ordering one of these from the brusletto website real soon. I think that size knife is what everyone should be taking on outdoor trips.even camping.
The emphasis is on the "U", not the "E" so it`s not Brus-lett`o, it`s BRU-sletto. Bru, means bridge and sletto (dialect), means "the plain". So it`s The Bridge Plain knife if you want to translate, lol..
Nice. If you want to see great knife making videos, check out thetopicala channel, he makes beautifull knifes, and also the videos have great photos and always classical music soundtrack.

Hi TGV. I have been getting into knives in recent years and never heard of this Norwegian brand/company. It looks a solid piece.

I bought one in 1988 in Norway, i keep it under my pillow but take it camping with me.
Looks a good skinning knife
Beautiful presentation. Do you know if they also made bayonets?
auxmike Thank you Mike. Regarding the bayonets, I dont think they make them. Are you looking for a bayonet maker?
No, but I though the writing in the box said something about times of war and I wonder if they were put into use for the war effort..
auxmike Right, I got u now. I often wondered what they mean too by "in peace and in war" then again, they are descended from vikings! lol
Check out Chris Reeve "Sebenza" and William Henry knives. Both have websites.
Locutus D'Borg Cheers, roger that!
