Really enjoyed Bret Weinstein's response 'in defense of the Diary of a CEO" and his message for Jacqui Wakefield to take to her bosses (The Dark Horse Podcast episode ). So refreshing to watch erudite broadcasts such as those provided by Steven Bartlett (Diary of a CEO) and Bret Weinstein on (The Darkhorse) their podcasts. The BBC's attempt to do takedowns of principled, reasoned evaluation of information is laughable, and too obvious. BBC - you're very well captured but not at all captivating anymore. The Oncologist told her that with treatment she had 18 months to live, without treatment she had 6 months. But it is. Sugar is not harmful. TOO MUCH sugar is demonstrably harmful, but that is true for anything and everything, even the most recommended food substance known to humans: water. It CAN and DOES kill you if you TOO MUCH of it. That is what TOO MUCH means.
Same is true for carbohydrates. Sugar, all types of sugar, are carbohydrates. So is fibre. Fibre is great, but TOO MUCH of it, will cause major problems that may require life-saving surgery. That does NOT make fibre and carbohydrates bad. It does make TOO MUCH of them bad. Again, that is what TOO MUCH means.

Well said mate. This is an attempt from the legacy media to discredit independent sources. I may not agree with everything that every guest on Steve’s podcast says, but it’s much more valuable than the information (or lack of) given out by the establishment media and the medical establishment who profits from people’s illnesses. Remember, you will never be criticized by people who are doing more than you. Let people have information and make decisions for themselves. Let other researchers and experts find solutions outside the box to target the root cause of illness and not cater to the same conventional treatments that ultimately only addressed the symptoms and not the root of the problem. Who would’ve thought that changing your diet could actually help reduce your chance of cancer? No one with the same mindset as the critics the BBC News hired for this video. Just because someone has an MD/DO or is a professional, doesn’t mean that you should take their word without considering what they’re actually saying and suggesting you to do. Even the “brightest” of minds and the most “qualified” professionals have confirmation biases.
Don’t force people or take away their agency by censoring independent sources! Let people choose to educate themselves and make their own decisions.

He just said Naturopathic medicine “isn’t a thing…” WTF?!?!
To become a naturopathic doctor (ND), you need to complete a four-year graduate-level program at an accredited naturopathic medical school after earning a bachelor's degree, focusing heavily on holistic approaches like nutrition, herbal medicine, and lifestyle modifications, while a medical doctor (MD) requires a four-year medical school program following a bachelor's degree, with a stronger emphasis on conventional medicine, including surgery and pharmaceuticals, often followed by a residency program to specialize in a specific field; both require similar foundational science courses like anatomy, physiology, and pathology, but NDs will have significantly more training in alternative therapies compared to MDs.
So basically NDs are focused on prevention and MDs are focused on prescription drugs. Meanwhile, there are no nationally mandated nutrition competencies that all medical schools must include in their programs.
NO NUTRITIONAL CONTENT REQUIRED for medical doctors. Let that sink in…
They don’t care about the cause, just prescription “medicine” to mask the symptoms. No wonder the FDA allows so many poisons in our food, all while trying to restrict preventative solutions. The US is dying from diseases, primarily treated by MDs. We may have been asleep, but we aren’t stupid, and we are waking up in droves.

      Talking about gut health issues.
Higher quality of life with chronic illness like type 1 diabetes - unlocked another level of proper management of glucose levels once I focused on keeping my insulin resistance low. None of the medical degree specialists mentioned insulin resistance factor as any to be concerned about or focused on. They couldn't even hold a discussion around that what impact it has on type 1 diabetics.

Same doctor's can't treat people other than treating their symptoms. Can't provide information what is the root cause of those symptoms. And once you tried that path and actually want to get yourself healthy again without having to constantly temporarily treating symptoms - and you turn into unconfirmed by these doctor's healing protocols, which actually very often seem to work, eventually even fully healing people.
I am type 1 diabetic that drastically increased his quality of life and glucose stability once I dived into subjects of insulin resistance. Not once did I hear from those doctor's to even consider this topic. While I got introduced to that matter through RUclips unverified claims of "alternative knowledge/solution" experts like Mastering Diabetes channel.
I even presented that to some of the doctor's - none of them could comment on it, most wasn't even interested. I mean - what's their certification and education worth if they're not up to date with current scientific studies. And someone without that medical degree but with STEM degree can figure this shit through internet with simple approach of root cause analysis, problem solving and open mind.
Don't get me even started on the gut health issues... Holistic clinics were the only places where I could get any help on that and jump into journey of fully resolving these issues. While the initially approached medical degree specialists were just telling me it won't get cured, I can only manage the symptoms. My favorite claim from one of them was that it's due to type 1 diabetes. Even though I manage my chronic disease very well with no long term complications so far. She mentioned there are studies confirming her claim. Asked for those - didn't get any, she replied she doesn't have time to give me that. I researched the PubMed for that - didn't find any that held water to what she claimed. Guess what - they were wrong, I managed to permanently cure the issues. Yet still there will be people to say it's one of example, small sample situation etc. Well the rest of the people are kept sick with no information or encouragement even that they can look for solutions. So what are we even talking about...
Western medicine system is failing, practitioners due to the system are failing to stay up to date and focus on actually resolving root causes, instead mindlessly following outdated symptom focused protocols.
The public sees that, because they experience it or know people that experience it. While the doctor's themselves can't admit it. Many of them are too stubborn and full of themselves based on the social status these jobs held back in the days.

I appreciate the efforts made to help people, but I wonder: how many patients are truly save? Is our current health care system addressing the root causes of illness, or merely masking symptoms? Far too often, the medical system focuses on treating symptoms rather than curing the underlying issues. With limited time-often just 15 minutes per visit-how can you claim to truly heal patients? Writing prescriptions is one thing, but curing and genuinely helping people requires a deeper, more comprehensive approach.
Steve’s guests are educating the world and you (specialist on this episode and all doctors who write prescriptions to masks symptoms) are drugging us to death with prescription drugs.

Ceciile Simmons (from the institute of Strategic Dialogue). Sounds quite biased already. 9.20. .'.....seemingly moderate discussion can give sort of intellectual credence to very ........ (didn't understand the next word) scientific ideas'. Ideas being the key word there I would say. As far as Offcom's regulation that audiences should be protected. I don't think you'll find many people out there felt protected by the government in the last 4 years. If they did, more fool them. We are seeing a lot of harm caused from all the strategies deployed during this time. Physical and mental. What we do know is that a lot of money passed hands in this very peculiar time in our history. Despite all this, Jacqui Wakefield, why don't you encourage your bosses, who clearly approved of this report, to bring together the 'experts' and who you/they consider to be disinformation speakers, perhaps like Brett Weinstein for instance ? Do that Jacqui. We haven't had open discussion at all. It has been filtered and marketed from self appointed authorities who claim 'the science', or funnier still, have said 'I am the science!'. Let's have that open conversation. Can we start with why it's ok to do the 10 year pre-requisite vaccine testing on the human population and then mandate it? That would be worthwhile reporting Jacqui.

The medical experts part was a red flag to me. It is clear that they are medical experts in a particular model of health and therefore they will automatically be biased towards the way that they assess the information. The fact that one of them said naturopathy was not legitimate was a huge red flag. This could have been an opportunity to educate the audience on different models of health and provide information on the medical expertise that the panel represented and perhaps interview an expert on the different models of health and the implications of alternative models gaining more mainstream coverage. And perhaps explore reasons for the lack of trust that is growing around mainstream model of health. This documentary was very biased.

It can be, but there can be many other factors like chemicals. Anything that can create havoc on the central nervous system, can create dis-ease/dis-order in the body/system. Miriam Gimal was able to cure her daughter. She was on dr. E the NP with a PHD. There are 2 episodes so far with her on that channel, the 2nd felt more like an ad.

I haven't watched those episodes but the link between the microbiome and autism is being established. Studies on diet and fecal transplants have been shown to improve their symptoms.

That’s probably because you never witnessed autistic people changing their diets in such a way that the symptoms actually improve in very little time.

Let's say it again for the cheap seats. Autism is genetic. Yes, changes in the body can impact this neurodivergence, which is why people get confused, but like ADHD, migraine and other conditions, we are born with it. Also, as we are learning more about these conditions, we are asking more sensibly, do we need to "cure it" or should we learn to appreciate our differences?

He's basically looked for where the money is and gone after it, without considering the ethical implications. If he challenged the interviewees at all, maybe i would feel differently. But he just allows these people to have a platform and everything they say to be taken as fact. Thank you BBC.

I am a critical thinker and I think people need to be more critical about these DOAC guests and claims. They’re presented as truths and the host doesn’t challenge or question some extremely harmful claims. I have watched many of these episodes and the format of the show is great and the old CEO interviews were great but the ones surrounding health are outrageous. Profiting off people’s desperation is what this is and it’s shameful.

Thats why you feel the way you do. Laziness doesn't pay. Go fact-check and push back yourself. Its nobody's job to do it for you!!!

I'm pleased to see this report. I stopped following him a couple of months ago because of his recent shift to misinformation that aligns with other media outlets. As an American facing the appointment of RFK to lead our government-run health departments, I am sick and tired of this anti-science BS.

Why to make a documentary targeting a podcaster that does not do anything else than inviting those who have already either written a book, have their own social media accounts or have large groups of followers? He asks what they claim. There are so many similar podcasters, but you chose only one. Frankly, what he does is better journalism than what I see at BBC these years.

5:26 - This guy is a bozo, here are some peer reviewed studies that disagree (available on pubmed):
Maternal Dietary Factors and The Risk of Autism Spectrum Disorders: A Systematic Review of Existing Evidence
The associations between maternal and child diet quality and child ADHD - findings from a large Norwegian pregnancy cohort study
Associations between Dietary Intake and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) Scores by Repeated Measurements in School-Age Children
Prenatal nutrition, epigenetics and schizophrenia risk
Prevention and Schizophrenia-The Role of Dietary Factors
In addition to this, one the BBCs "Medical/Science Communicators" Dr. Christopher Van Tuleken would most probably agree on the possibility with the guest on the podcast.
