Those mesh infusers are for tea dust, not full leaf tea.
Yall can hate all you want, but the gaiwan brewing method does produce the best tea ive ever had, and you can actually taste differences in different teas rather than just tannins
We all know !!! That’s not the point gaiwan brewing is for gongfu tea and Chinese tradition there are thousands of other teas out there let alone herbal with different traditions as someone raised on gongfu tea I agree but I’m sick of all these tea elitists, stop tryna preach go enjoy your own tea none of y’all are jesses tea house
@@lucifer-zr6sctechnically tea is only the plant. All the herbal stuff isn’t considered tea
The way I make it, both tea and coffee taste exactly the same 😜
True. I have basked same size as a my cup so it’s pretty much loose. I must admit it’s easier than using the gaiwan
I thought they were for curling you eye lashes mate 😂😂😂
I got a tea strainer from a thrifted tea pot, and it fits perfectly in most mugs to where the sides of the strainer are along the walls of the mug and almost to the bottom. It works great for western style brewing, when I wanna have looseleaf tea but not have to break out the gaiwan and all that.
The easiest to use infuser which makes good results is glass teapot with a metal spiral for a filter. Very fast, good results, very easy to clean. (Gong Fu Glass Pot on Mei Leaf site.)
Anything with a metal mesh will get dirty fast.
Idk what is going on in your area ,but here that's called an herbal tea infuser. For chamomile, dried fruits and zests , dried flowers ect.a tea infuser is about 3-5 times that size for a steeping kettle .
Mesh might be hard to clean. There are glass pots with a spiral instead of a mesh, much better in that regard. Also all plant material is in contact with all water so you get best infusion.
fascinating
Can't you just leave it in longer?
If you are talking about the 'tea ball' he showed, then yes you certainly may brew the tea longer to get a stronger, darker tea. Of course, I am no tea expert- and I realize a longer brew may add to the acidity of the tea, and change the taste- but I do use a tea ball for my loose leaf tea, and my brew comes out deep and strong. I put my tea ball in a pot of boiling water (about 4 cups worth of tea), then I use a ladle or measuring cup/spoon (1/3 c. or 1/4 c.), and scoop out tea which I pour into my tea cup. Then if I want another cup of tea from the pot, I simply 'ladle'/scoop out some more, and pour it into my empty tea cup to drink. I usually add milk so that brings down the intensity of the taste in the tea. Really, I believe it is preference. I have both tea balls (around 2-3), and 1 cup-like strainer that goes in the tea cup. Someone gave me the cup-strainer today, and I did use it for brewing tea gifted to me (also from the same generous person). I am not sure of the name of that cup-shaped tea strainer, but it is shown in this video. Anyway, I hope I answered your question well enough. Bye. : )
I also want to add that my tea ball closes shut so the tea leaves stay contained versus floating in the pot of water. I say this because the tea ball in this video looks different than mine, as though it would not stay closed fully in a pot of water. Also, mine has a type of 'chain' that allows you to safely remove the tea bowl from the pot. The chain will attach to the top of the tea pot. Perhaps I ought to make a short video of it.
Always hated those things. Never had a reason tho 😅
Mad I just go to Tesco and buy tea bags
There’s nothing wrong with those infusers. You’re just trying to sell your own. 😂
also here's some sarcastic emojis since you can't express yourself without them, i doubt you'd understand something without them. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
He thinks we're using them for tea 😅
What are you using then for
what else would you use it for?
@@OneJutsuMan I'm guessing weed, but I don't know
Not sure about @fulltimeonfire8536 but a lot of people use them to infuse herbs when cooking, making stock, bone broth, cannabutter, etc.
Drink alcohol. You won't have any of those problems
Yeah, you’ll have others instead!😀
You can make mulled wine with herbs in the infuser!
