This is my favorite Castlevania ever. It was creeper then the others and had such great music.
And that wolf boss was amazing.
Castlevania 4 is the creepiest IMO

Super Castlevania IV isn't close to be being my favorite, but even I have to admit the controls are damn near flawless and fluid compared to Rondo.

Mplode Super CV 4 controls are a HUGE step up from the nes era. But its those controls that make the game so much easier that its insane. Im not a fan of artificial difficulty or limiting the player for just cheap difficulty. But Rondo of Blood literally perfects the formula of old style CV games. Bloodlines is a very close second for me. For it actually trying to be original in the setting is very good. Super CV 4? Great game but really easy until the very end. Bloodlines? Great original CV game, never replicated. Rondo of Blood? Perfects the formula in every way possible in my opinion. That freaking backflip man, so good.

@@lazytomakeaname4676 I think a lot of time these 8 and 16 bit soundtracks are BETTER because of the limited recourses. The synth also I feel makes the notes hit harder.

The best 16 bit Castlevania. CV4 was just too easy for the first half of the game. This was nice and challenging from the start. Level design is way better also.
Bloodlines is great, but CV4 is better.

Man you can swing your whip for more than half screen. The secundary weapons has no utility. That game is broken. But it was the first game from a lot of people. So they tend to say its the best one.

I was born in 1994 I knew this generation and I confirm your words those who were born in the PS3 PS4 generation and who started on these consoles cannot understand what the generation was at the time knowing that the most young people who have known the current generation would find the games of our past so ugly and uninteresting but will not understand what it represented for us retro gamers of this era, you have to have lived through this era to understand, I had the lucky to have the Genesis MégaDrive and the Super NES the Megadrive being my favorite retro console I would pay a lot to buy one but hey retrogaming has become so expensive, so I knew Castlevania the new generation for us European players and Super Castlevania IV, 2 Castlevanias that I loved immensely and which are an integral part of my past even if I have always had a preference for the 16-bit side, which is well managed on this game, making the music truly sumptuous, for example Aladdin on Megadrive with incredible music the good old days I would pay a lot to relive that, I miss it so much

Back when you just plugged in your game system and started playing these sega snes games along with there music and game play talk about great memories.
Look metroid is my favorite game franchise ever, but listen to this man, the genesis is the better sounding machine in my opinion. Miss Sega.
The best of the 16-bit castlevanias. While I admit Rondo and CV4 are good, this one has superior soundtrack, and two characters for replayablety. Rondo had more levels but I just find Bloodlines better because of its good soundtrack.
Except levels 3 and 5, they can die in a hole. Mainly for having very unfitting soundtracks.

I like the level 3 and 5 music, the first is pretty wacky and weird and the other... I don't know, both are cool, all the darn soundtrack in this game are frikin amazing :D
