I grew up on Pioneer Chicken and this recipe takes me back to my childhood. If you didn’t have the privilege, this is the BEST Battered fried chicken recipe!
Love this recipe, it really works, anybody who loved Pioneer Chicken will love this recipe and if you follow it like she illustrates, WOW, I love it. Thanks Angie.
OMGOSH! I Just made ur recipe with drumsticks. Thought my batter was too runny. Nope. I am eating Pioneer Chicken in a small town in Missouri!! I cant believe the batter is the same gonna give ya heart disease some day crunchy deliciousness!!Thank you!!!
Love all the ingredients used in seasoning the chicken, love that u added cold water that just makes it juicy and mixed well ..chicken came out really good can smell it lol nice one👌
Hi! Thank you for sharing this recipe! :) I have a couple of questions before I feel I can try this recipe. I didn't hear you say what temperature you actually used, just the importance of making sure you heat it up at the same temp you are going to cook the chicken at, but no idea what that was :) Also, wanted to confirm, are the paprika and turmeric at 1 tsp each? You said about 1 tsp for everything except the salt and corn starch at different points, but I'm not clear on if it was 1 tsp each for paprika and turmeric.... I hope to try this receipe soon! :)
Hi! My gas stove has a range of 1 to 6. I cooked it on a 5. If you do 1 tablespoon each of seasonings you’ll have leftovers. But that’s fine. Just store in a tightly sealed storage bag. For that taping I used 1 tsp each of paprika and turmeric. Hope that helps! Thanks for watching!
It's not orange enough to be the Pioneer's I grew uo on in the 80s😂😂😂 Regardless, if it's even close to it, I'll be happy. Definitely gotta try you're recipe
Do you have one for air fryer for this type of chicken? E'rrytime i go to Cali i go there..could not go last you ..so so sad😑😞..im from the dmv..the D part
Golden Bird Chicken, the best!
Next time put the ingredients in the discription box

@@mrknowitalllt1 the one in Bell tastes EXACTLY the same. Go try it

Great job!
Cool.... I haven’t fried any foods for the family in years. Hubby and son would be so delighted if I made this.
Just a Fashion Girl from Chicago it’s a once a month treat for us. Moderation is key.

Have you ever tried making something similar to original Pioneer chicken strips?
They were the best 👌
Wow I might just try that
@@angiee.t.c.4033 They were like ball park Frank's made of pure white meat... I loved them.

Hey Angie, have you tried that one other recipe that calls for adding celery salt to the wet batter, and then also frying in peanut oil?
No but that sounds good. I’ll definitely try it. I use peanut oil from time to time.
I was wondering the same thing! Have you tried it?
Tallow. It was cooked in tallow.
I'm a cooking lawyer 😂
You’re hired!
Was it a teaspoon or tablespoon of baking powder? In the video it looks like you
a tablespoon of baking powder.
