I think it's unfair to compare her with with Clare Halse. This isn't the Theatre Royal, this a regional touring production on a tiny stage where the performers are practically in each other's lap. Clara Cox is doing a pretty sterling job here under what must be trying circumstances.
This is actually brilliant. However the lead trombone completely that solo “street” note. Yes the music it’s written as an articulated grace note however every, and I mean EVERY, other recording I’ve heard has played it as a gliss. It’s supposed to me mimicking a voice.
You don't mean to be nasty; it just comes naturally to you. There is no point in making your statement otherwise. It's not like hoards of people were sitting here thinking "I wonder what Blanche would think of this???".

I don't mean to be nasty but I prefer 42nd street with Clare Halse. This lady is very pretty and she knows what she's doing but she misses something

That is the worst wig I have ever seen on an actress. I'm glad the company is so large though!
