Hey Maz, Back like clockwork to thank you for the great and precise set lists, times and credits. You do us all a great invaluable service.Year ago I transferred the first box onto tape and because of you,no one can touch it.Long live Skynyrd, they define southern rock and roll. Peace, Rocky
It's been a day er two since I heard some of these real early tunes and I gotta say...damn that Ronnie Vanzant sure had a sweet voice! The growls, whines and all out conviction he sang with still after all these years, puts chills on me. And while I'm at it...gotta give a shout out to the rythem section. Every combination they put together was rock solid tight, regardless of who was playing. Bob & Larry, Bob & Leon, Ricky & Greg T, Robert Nix & Al...hell they all sound good. Skynyrd had the best damn guitar pickers of any band hands down. Throw in a little BP on keys and they were an unstoppable force. I just love hearing them early tunes...when they were still finding their collective voice...their identity. Dang those boys were hungry! Thanks for posting this brother.
Never heard the FB demo, think I like it better than the actual album cut, thanks for posting this, at 68 I thought that I've heard it all when it comes to 70's rock! taught this old dog a new trick!
It's hard to believe not one record company wanted to release or back these songs. How many times through the years have you heard the same story about record companies not knowing generational music when they hear it. After all, the Beatles were turned down several times, told to get their hair cuts and get the drummer more involved.
Awesome video So so many tunes and I'm not talking about just their Hit Songs' which are definitely great.. Gotta luv their demos.. It's mad cool that they kept them and not deleted them lol Well not delete but just like through them out If only that tragedy didn't happen 😔 R.I.P. -Ronnie and the others 🙏🏽
