I live in Sweden, and I can relate to you. School starts at 8 AM and ends at 3-4 PM. We have 10 minute breaks and the stress is real. I still don't think that it's easier in the US, because school will be tough either way.
Same in Germany. School starts at 8 AM and ends at 3-4:30 PM. We have 4 classes a day that are each 90 minutes long. Inbetween the classes we have 10-20 minute breaks but there is still a lot of stress

Sixth grade was the worst year of my life , now I'm a sophomore and I see those bullies almost everyday. I felt terrible about myself and it showed and people took advantage of me. Keep a strong face and hold your head high because now those who tortured me , wish they were my friend. Keep your head of high and remember you don't always have to be strong inside , but trying to be confident on the outside may find its way inside you . Best of luck and things get SOO much better !
YES! Everybody at my school make fun of me for not bringing a lot of food for lunch (I only bring a wrap) while everybody else brings a full-on meal, and sometimes they joke that I'm anorexic, while really I just don't get that hungry during school.

I might be the only one but breaks are usually hard for me cause once I do a break I begin to turn my 10 minutes of watching tv into an hour of watching tv and then it's impossible for me to get back into study mode.
I heard to do breaks more of getting a snack or drink and be physical not completely looking at ur phone or tv as they are harder to get back in the zone :)

If you get distracted easily by your phone while studying get the app 'Forrest' on your phone. You set a certain amount of time that you need to focus for and then it will plant a virtual seed on your phone. If you exit out of the app during the set time your seed/tree dies. I find the app really helpful when doing my homework.
That is right Meredith actually with a diagnosed symptom it is hard for me to stay positive when school work comes around. So as an artist and person that can take advantage of playing the piano or guitar, usually I would be mostly sketching or coloring because I think they are incredibly fun. As suggestion for some people that has anxiety or depressed I think there are some coloring books on Amazon which is adult coloring books, don't pay attention to that because those are just for everyone to use so you can keep your mind off school and things.
When your school has a uniform 😤 but then you realise that you don't have to go through the struggle of picking out an outfit 🙂 but the teachers are annoying and always find something wrong with it 😞
Just like Shrewsbury International School in Thailand - but we start at 7:30, Early Years go home at lunch, Juniors go home at 2:20, and Seniors go home at 2:40. Ugh!
i live in philippines and our school starts at 7:00 am our break time is 9:00 and we need to go back in our class at 9:30 then our luch is 11:30 then we have to go back at 12:15 pm and our school ends in 4:15 pm every monday and wednesday and 2:15 tuesday and thursday we have no classes every friday they only teach us about elective course like commercial cooking, drafting etc. Our PE is every Wednesday. We dont have lockers. We Wear School Uniforms. Nail Polish is not Allowed. Phones/Computers is not allowed. No fun hair dye. We dont have Binders we only use notebooks each subject ugghh. i dont know why white girls or people in the us hate their school? :(I wish I went to school in America cause it seems so much more relaxed. Ok bye.
Also, a tip that i always use, listen to music when studying, (i know, it's like a distraction) but when i study in a studyroom or at home, i get distracted by people talking, loud noises and things like that, so listen to music and block everyone else out. I will listen to music with words, so that i can enjoy studying and when i need a break i can just walk around with my music in already...
Maybe go for a walk or something in your break? You could make a playlist that has an amount of songs that maches the amount of time your break should last. No going on social media or tv, it Will distract you! :)

Idk what fantasy school you think people live in, but I found this video a bit fake. We arnt in a movie, this is reality. Why not do a video more realistic and reaching out to those who perhaps go to a school where it's a bit tough to stay focus cuz distractions that involve other things like family problems, friends who you shouldn't be friends with, how to say no to drugs and all that bad stuff while also staying focus on school. That to me is a "real survival" guide for most kids out here who are struggling. This was more of "how to Get good grade" more type o video..if you don't have real life problems and all you gotta worry about is going to school.... It's good you're trying to teach teens how to study but at the same time I think you should maybe cut the act like your so jolly to be in school lol many of us struggle to even get out of bed cuz school brings or even brought out the tired, stressful, hard times outta us. Just my opinion.

If just putting your phone away doesn't work and you still get distracted, you should totally download the app called Forest. It's a great app where you set a time for however long you want to focus and it grows a tree. If you close out of the app to text or go on social media or anything it kills your tree. It really helps to keep you motivated and focused and just get stuff done. 👍

Your super right about that "break" stuffs. its really important to have a break .. And I.. forgot to have a break yesterday, I am reviewing for my final exam and i slept for awhile and as the moment I woke up I felt so dizzy I am not feeling well that is where I found out that i have a fever and my doctor told me that its all because im super stress and I should always have a break time whenever im doing something ...and thanks mere for all of your school survival guide it helps me a lot, ily

If you get distracted easily by your phone while studying get the app 'Forrest' on your phone. You set a certain amount of time that you need to focus for and then it will plant a virtual seed on your phone. If you exit out of the app during the set time your seed/tree dies. I find the app really helpful when doing my homework.

That is right Meredith actually with a diagnosed symptom it is hard for me to stay positive when school work comes around. So as an artist and person that can take advantage of playing the piano or guitar, usually I would be mostly sketching or coloring because I think they are incredibly fun. As suggestion for some people that has anxiety or depressed I think there are some coloring books on Amazon which is adult coloring books, don't pay attention to that because those are just for everyone to use so you can keep your mind off school and things.
When your school has a uniform 😤 but then you realise that you don't have to go through the struggle of picking out an outfit 🙂 but the teachers are annoying and always find something wrong with it 😞

i live in philippines and our school starts at 7:00 am our break time is 9:00 and we need to go back in our class at 9:30 then our luch is 11:30 then we have to go back at 12:15 pm and our school ends in 4:15 pm every monday and wednesday and 2:15 tuesday and thursday we have no classes every friday they only teach us about elective course like commercial cooking, drafting etc. Our PE is every Wednesday. We dont have lockers. We Wear School Uniforms. Nail Polish is not Allowed. Phones/Computers is not allowed. No fun hair dye. We dont have Binders we only use notebooks each subject ugghh. i dont know why white girls or people in the us hate their school? :(I wish I went to school in America cause it seems so much more relaxed. Ok bye.

Also, a tip that i always use, listen to music when studying, (i know, it's like a distraction) but when i study in a studyroom or at home, i get distracted by people talking, loud noises and things like that, so listen to music and block everyone else out. I will listen to music with words, so that i can enjoy studying and when i need a break i can just walk around with my music in already...
I can't take breaks I find I loose concentration and any motivation that I had. Any tips?

Maybe go for a walk or something in your break? You could make a playlist that has an amount of songs that maches the amount of time your break should last. No going on social media or tv, it Will distract you! :)

Idk what fantasy school you think people live in, but I found this video a bit fake. We arnt in a movie, this is reality. Why not do a video more realistic and reaching out to those who perhaps go to a school where it's a bit tough to stay focus cuz distractions that involve other things like family problems, friends who you shouldn't be friends with, how to say no to drugs and all that bad stuff while also staying focus on school. That to me is a "real survival" guide for most kids out here who are struggling. This was more of "how to Get good grade" more type o video..if you don't have real life problems and all you gotta worry about is going to school.... It's good you're trying to teach teens how to study but at the same time I think you should maybe cut the act like your so jolly to be in school lol many of us struggle to even get out of bed cuz school brings or even brought out the tired, stressful, hard times outta us. Just my opinion.

the first month or so it whould be hard. stay strong. meet new friends.. take notes this video will help you alot. don't stress out on big exams. learn and if you strugle ask the teachers for help. don't be shy ! they are there for you! i wish you good luck!

Wow Mere!! Really helpful tips!! This is not only a study tip video it is a how to be a good person you really want to be!! I really got motivated to study now, Mere and thank you for that . You are right, if someone is mean to you don't be mean to them. A Really nice thing to do.
If just putting your phone away doesn't work and you still get distracted, you should totally download the app called Forest. It's a great app where you set a time for however long you want to focus and it grows a tree. If you close out of the app to text or go on social media or anything it kills your tree. It really helps to keep you motivated and focused and just get stuff done. 👍
