For some reason during the chase scene, I just imagine that it's like Top Gun and the young crane is just saying things like "He's right on my tail" and "I can't shake him!" before getting struck down by the enemy fighters (eagles). EDIT: Big up the cameramen for capturing such amazing footage.
@@TimTheMusicMan yeah, there's nothing nice in this video. I would rather watch a video about moss eating a stone since there's no living things being harmed just for entertainment sake
That's where air to air combat tactics and techniques come from. Golden eagles, peregrine falcons and goshawks are the best teachers in air to air combat
I love how the golden eagles were looking out for each other when the gold eagle was trying to take control of the crane the other one was making sure it would be okay
Wow - such a high level of esoteric thought. Come on dude. Obviously I think you've been brainwashed in your lame education. You think I'm brainwashed in my spiritual belief. Do some research, not only on the young earth theory where you'll find compelling scientific argument from top scientists, maybe go see Noah's ark in Kentucky where it - in a life size model - shows an easily plausible way the ark and life in it could have performed their Biblical purpose, and finally research how to respectfully put yourself in another person's shoes so you may begin to have understanding why intelligent people actually think other ways than you do.
@Jacob Masten the flood explains why canyons worldwide have signs of forming quickly, and modern items under old layers... And why again worldwide there are oceanic fossils and shells in the middle of plains, deserts, mountaintops. You can ignore the obvious if you want to, but you may just find some freedom realizing there are politically motivated reasons your educators wanted you to believe what you now do.
@A.A.Ron Davis so you reply to me who states a 25 lbs toddler but not the guy who simply says a human being. I know that video is fake, but not the ones of golden eagles pulling 50lb goats off the side of cliffs. I didnt say it could fly off with the child, only meant they could make them leave the ground.
@@shelbyrice3860 I said in my comment that they can pick up a toddler. I specified toddler because the OP stated only human being. I guess I must say that I am aware toddlers are human beings, lol.
she had SO MUCH empty space below her to do it....I am sure it was just a case of getting a good hold on it....after breaking it's neck, then, finding a good rising thermal close by to climb......They can actually see the thermals...........To kill it, in mid air..... was the most important thing to the eagle........ The difficult struggle with big flapping wings of the crane, was the first thing to stop....and stop it , she did, and very fast...Amazing power and intelligence...I am sure this method of crane hunting was something that she and her mate had been practicing and perfecting, for many years.......A crane is a big bird, that could feed both eagles for a couple days....
Do they not observe the birds above them, spreading their wings and folding them? None, except the Merciful holds them. Surely, He sees all things. (19)
thats crazy how long the eagle fell with its prey trying to gain control
Excellent recovery, however.
I wish the camera didn't cut away right there, that was the best part of the video
Those cranes are heavy
Kudos to the cameraman. Nature is awesome.
an awesome bitch

I always appreciate the good scoring by the BBC.
Oh my, how tragic and powerful and awe-inspiring. And bravo to the cameraman
Himalayas are a treat to visit, the terrain , the weather and the nature in its raw / true form
It's amazing how the golden eagles can seperate one from the flock and then kill it off. And that drop... WAS AMAZING!
You know what's nice about nature? From the observer's POV there's never a good or bad guy.
Smol Snek Unless you're on the RUclips comments where all the little kids yell animal abuse for not saving the prey 😂
True, they never realise a predator's gotta eat too 😂
Hyenas are the bad females.
Theres nothing nice about this video...

And just like that, my two absolute favorite moments from the series are on YT. Much appreciated, BBC Earth staff!
David Attenborough's voice is a therapy.
Edit - Its SIR David Attenborough
THE VERY BEST.....in all the World.......Sir David really IS a knight in shining armor....
Sad lumpy, there's no David Attenborough-like narrator we have in this world. Please God, bless him with 100 more years of life! 😊
golden eagles are a living piece of art
If only that crane learned Kung Fu.
It was only a juvenile. It didn't have enough time to master the art of Kung Fu.
Only the fat panda can master Kung Fu in a short time. 🌚
It only knows how to FLY FU
@@KittySYT so, we also have thin panda now?
RVs : Yes, there are skinny ones too, deprived of food. 🌚

The soundtrack gives these wildlife videos another dimension ! Great cinematography 👏
One of the most emotional scenes I have ever watched. Poor young crane! 😥
Absolute amazing. Excellent filming. Thank you for such a wonderful series.
Reminds me of the scene in "Avatar"
"We're not the only thing flying out there and we're not the biggest, either"
WOW! Talk about that cameraman being in the right place at the right time! Well done!!
Cranes:*Passing by*
Eagles:" Hi we are freedom! And we are here to free you from life. PREPARE TO BE LIBERATED!"
funny joke but wrong Eagle my dude
great intelligence of the birds, good shooting and great narration
Incredible videography. Simply exquisite!
Nice team work! This is like xavi and iniesta bossing the midfield!
Not just capturing the image, but the sound as well.
How did you guys filmed that?!? I'm impressed
Ever hear of a camera? They didn't film it with a potato you know.
lol xD
Some drones can fly as high as 6 km. All you need is a permit to fly them there.
Yep, Drones are cheap especially the Chinese made ones.

Thank you for the amazing shots our beautiful land and all its inhabitants
Please TAKE CARE OUR NATURE …
Now that's an aerial dogfight
These are the same birds, the death of which inspired a distraught Valmiki to utter: 'Maa nishada...'
I think this video is a great shooting you won't get every day. Thanks for sharing!
*Oh man Earth and Nature are beautiful and majestic!*
I love how the golden eagles were looking out for each other when the gold eagle was trying to take control of the crane the other one was making sure it would be okay
It was probably a mated pair.
They are magnificent utterly magnificent
Wow! Nature you are awesome!! And camera Team, please more of this wonderfull filming!!
these cranes are remarkably beautiful!
unbelievable photography!! Hats off...
Such amazing footage. God's creation is breath-taking. You can even see signs of the world wide flood as the Eagle holds its prize.
@Jacob Masten you miss the all important factor, God.

Coming from the horrendous American narration of the NatGeo channel to this is truly a breath of fresh air.
What a beautiful aerial hunt
Amazing camera work to catch this moment!

The crane style vs the eagle claws
The eagles definitely are deadly predators.
Poor stork has absolutely no defense against eagles. Surprisingly they do not work together to defend each other.

I want to see how the eagle recovers the altitude after catching the crane, that is the most important part.

0:37 Himalayan Griffon vulture flies past the eagle. its a much paler bird and much larger when seen side by side an eagle.
The crane would have been alive if he had a gun
What if the eagle had an IL-2?
