Seniro trips for ventura unfinied scholl districts would take seniors who wanted to go. On overnith camping trips to anacaoa evry year for the gradytaing clases. For us kids in overty, ir was a dope treat to get to ride on the charter and be treated to sicj beauty.
San Nicholas is Actually my Favorite Of Channel Islands Of Them all because I’d grown up with The Book 🐬Island Of The Blue Dolphins🐬 about The Tale Of Karana Bassd On The Lone Woman Of San Nicholas Whom was left to live by Herself alone for 18 years from 1835 to 1853 !!!!!!! 😉😉😉😉😉🐬🐬🐬🐬🐬
wanted to take our son and his girls there last trip and they had never heard of them and they live 40 minutes away in santa clarita. unfortunately didn't have the time to do it but did go to ventura
Fantastic! I LOVE those islands. They represent what California was BEFORE white man. Snorkeling in the giant kelp forests while the plankton is breeding and feeding the colorful fishes and the seals and star fishes and on and on...is an INCREDIBLE experience! They must be protected and respected. A best kept secret (shoosh don't tell too many people) but plz do send money donations to help protect and preserve this sacred place. Thank you for a great film!

I grew up in Huntington Beach...I think for most Southern Californians, they don't have any idea there are islands out there past Catalina...and most Southern Californians have never even been to Catalina...I'd love to take my boat to San Nicolas...or San Clemente...
@@deedubs602 I think you are one of the rare ones. I think most people know about Catalina, even though half the time you can't even see it...almost nobody has heard of San Nicolas, San Clemente, and Santa Barbara Islands. I get it, though. Even on the clearest days you can't see them...And unless you got a bog boat, you ain't going out there to see them. Too bad. They are very pristine.
@@touchsong999 Lol...Even Catalina has been spared for the most part. Most people don't like the boat ride. They get sea sick...but yeah, turning those other islands into Balboa or Lido would be a shame.
Super.
Inspiring : well done and respectful.
We loved these islands! Great video

I grew up near Ventura. Spent a lot of time charter boat fishing near Anacapa and Santa Cruz islands.

Amazing. What California used to look like
STILL looks like in many places.
Laws have changed though. It's sad to see the "epitome of western civilization" turn into a dystopian chick flick.
what r yall talking about lmaoo

As a Southern Californian I think you are wrong. While most haven’t been there I can guarantee that almost everyone know the islands are there.
