The harmonies and synchronisation between them are amazing. Also, take a detour down the Chinchilla rabbit hole and have a look at 'Fingers (Live for Hunger TV)' - her voice and performance are simply astounding. I promise you won't regret either of these. After that, almost any of Chinchilla's tracks are brilliant, just take your pick of whatever grabs your fancy. And yes, you should definitely learn how to play this - looking forward to hearing your version. 😎 PS: the chemistry between them is magical. They describe each other as 'musical siblings' and they hit it off immediately when they first met. As I understand it, Ren heard some of her tracks and reached out, asking if she would be interested in doing some stuff together. He has a knack of finding amazing people to collaborate with. GREAT reaction! You're the first reactor I've ever watched (and I've seen most of them) that has caught the utility in the odd or sharp noises at the top of several of Ren's Bardcore songs. I think that in addition to putting the listener "off balance" from the beginning, but also serves to grab the listener's full attention, which in turn pulls the listener into the time warp that so often happens. P.S.: On the opening chords, he plays the high and low notes of the C#m, A, E progression on the guitar, and *sings* the middle note, completing the chord. This allows the guitar's tones to support the vocal tone on both sides, making it sound much wider and fuller as a whole.

I am glad that I have gone around and continue to watch more and more reactions to Ren. I myself am a musician struggling with debilitating chronic illness. The intro when he first starts playing is the root and the third of the Chords for the verses. So E and G strings at the ninth fret, E 5th fret G 6th fret and E open G 1st fret. The song is in C#m and the intro is C#m, A and E and I believe he throws in a B during the chorus or strumming part where he is singing little by little bit by bit.
OK, I managed to understand some of it. And I did make an attempt to record it today. Funny enough, the guitar part wasn't the problem... the singing though... 😅😬😬😬
Chinchilla is a UK artist and a rising star on the British music scene. Ren refers to her as his musical sibling. She was a supporting act on Sting's 2019 European Arena tour and the opening act for the 2021 McFly tour. Chinchilla has also played some big European music festivals. Chinchilla recently split from her management team and is now a fully independent artist. Loving your reactions... so much Ren to see, him alone and also with the Big Push, yes do Shot the Sheriff and War Pigs etc but don't miss Wade in the Water/Trouble So Hard if you want to see him really sing from his soul... but Chinchilla is amazing too. Ren has described her as a female counterpart of himself. Her Fingers (live version) is the best vocal performance ever. Not even exaggerating. And Little Girl Gone is the rage anthem you need. Eventually, you will get to Ren and Sam Tomkins... you might see them busking first, doing Walking on the Moon etc. But they will do Ren's song he wrote, Blind Eyed. When you come to that, watch the angry car park attendant version first. It will make you laugh and blow you away.

Ren persuaded Chinchilla to do a bit of busking with him, some thing she hadn't dared do before, she fought through her fear and the results can be seen and head in the pair doing Drake/Beyonce, One Dance, Drunk in love and Marvin's Sexual Healing.

You truly and honestly show your reaction in your emotions and expressions. Bittersweet symphony is more lightweight than many of his other raps, and those can be overwhelming to say the least. Other somewhat easier new raps are Genesis (a one-take again) and Power. Right Here, Right Now (Fatboy Slim Retake) (a one-take). Children Of The Moon is a bit older I think. And Ren X Sam Tompkins - What Went Wrong,. Then there is his Bardcore 3-part storytelling masterpiece called Ren - The Tale of Jenny & Screech that you have already done a reaction to. For more Chinchilla X Ren there has been the perfect suggestion of How To Be Me (live), which is great, but on the same lines as Chalk Outlines. For something different, perhaps react CHINCHILLA x Ren - Sexual Healing (Marvin Gaye) Live, and there is a little more to be found live busking on the streets of Brighton. Even if it doesn’t get the most views maybe practicing a couple of hours can be therapeutic and clipping out the best take can be inspiration for others that you can post. Ren does 1 take videos but most takes aren’t perfect because nobody is perfect. He just gives us the best of what he can do at that time.
I think he uses half chords too. The most important line is Chinchilla's first line. "Sertraline and a sip of serotonin, don't cry cause there's a pill for everything." That's the key to the song the line that spells it out. Sertraline or Zoloft is a serotonin selective reuptake inhibitor used for depression that leads to self deletion in youth. It's about overprescription addiction and how the cure for addiction is ofetn another prescription. Ren was misdiagnosed a decade ago by doctors. He actually had Lime Disease but they thought his mind was playing tricks and gave him strong drugs psychotropics and told him he was crazy. The Lyme disease ran amuck for 7-8 years. He is currently in Canada receiving treatment to undo all the damage done. his life was dramatically shortened by the misdiagnosis but he is doing his best to stay in shape and recover all the stolen years past & future. Basically it's like having a broken leg and the Dr telling you it's all in your head and prescribing a bunch of super strong psychotropics for 7-8 years. I saw an interview the NHS would make fun of him for asking for more tests on his blood. They are the pig in his videos. He can't explicitely say it he'd be cancelled.
Her line - "There's a pill for everything" was so... Ugh - I forgot to specifically talk about that, but I felt it. It pissed me off. I'm just happy that he is gifting us with his music.
Their other duet "How to be me (live)" is even more jaw dropping. Please react to it. Also check out Chinchilla's solo work "fingers (live)" "little girl lost" etc
I'll have to check and see if you've done 'Diazepam,' when Ren was misdiagnosed with various things like Bipolar and ME/CFS it was one of the drugs he was put on, it caused hallucinations and derealization, it in part with the Lyme infection caused his psychosis. It wasn't until he got a clue from an ME support group that the mental issues could be due to an infection that he went to a gastroenterologist for antibiotics that did indeed help, then to Belgium to an Infection Disease doctor who did diagnose him with Lyme Disease that he finally turned a corner and saw a future, a path to treatment, and maybe a chance again at a career. He mentions derealization in 'Sick Boi' and part of 'Chalk Outlines' is 'swallow this one and you'll be fine,' 'there's a drug for everything,' 'hope I'm someone else in the morning,' this is all about the drugs, psychosis, and despair that had him feel like 'a floating chalk outline.'
"Take this one, wash it down and you'll be fine.......there's a pill for everything"......."take it just in case..." ------- what the doctors tell Ren & Chinchilla ( in the song and, for Ren, in real life )....sung with sarcasm and disgust.....their feelings about the quality of treatment for their illnesses......

Been a huge Ren fan since I first heard Hi Ren when it launched. Love listening to Ren Gill and Daisy (aka Chinchilla) all their duets are special, even them busking. Well done with the chords as a musician that's the first thing I done after hearing this song, picked up the guitar and started strumming. It helps if you finger pick the first three chords (sounds sweeter) Unfortunately I'd have to change the key thought it's a little high for my voice.

Great reaction Roni as usual... In the intro part, Ren is playing 2 note chords, also known as double stops. Major and minor triad chords have a 1st, 3rd and a 5th note in them from the scale, if the 3rd is flattened one semitone becomes a minor. The chords Ren is playing don't have a 5th, they consist of the 1st notes and the 3rd (or minor/b3rd, depending whether you are playing a major or minor chord) from the chords, but the 3rd is an octave displaced above the 1st note. I'd never heard this being done before and I've been playing with it ever since, its lovely to experiment with... So for Chalk Outlines, you just pluck the thick E string and the G string simultaneously so E/G on the following frets: 9/9 (C#m), 5/6 (Amaj), 0/1 (Emaj). Hope this helps, its difficult to explain without showing you.

GREAT reaction! You're the first reactor I've ever watched (and I've seen most of them) that has caught the utility in the odd or sharp noises at the top of several of Ren's Bardcore songs. I think that in addition to putting the listener "off balance" from the beginning, but also serves to grab the listener's full attention, which in turn pulls the listener into the time warp that so often happens.
P.S.: On the opening chords, he plays the high and low notes of the C#m, A, E progression on the guitar, and *sings* the middle note, completing the chord. This allows the guitar's tones to support the vocal tone on both sides, making it sound much wider and fuller as a whole.

The intro when he first starts playing is the root and the third of the Chords for the verses. So E and G strings at the ninth fret, E 5th fret G 6th fret and E open G 1st fret. The song is in C#m and the intro is C#m, A and E and I believe he throws in a B during the chorus or strumming part where he is singing little by little bit by bit.
OK, I managed to understand some of it. And I did make an attempt to record it today. Funny enough, the guitar part wasn't the problem... the singing though... 😅😬😬😬
Chinchilla is a UK artist and a rising star on the British music scene. Ren refers to her as his musical sibling. She was a supporting act on Sting's 2019 European Arena tour and the opening act for the 2021 McFly tour. Chinchilla has also played some big European music festivals. Chinchilla recently split from her management team and is now a fully independent artist.
Her songs "Cold Water" and "Shadows [Tails]" are beautiful, “FINGERS Live for HungerTV” is amazing, but her entire catalog is worth listening to, including her brand-new release, “Little Girl Gone;” she has a lyric video, an official music video, and a live version, “Little Girl Gone Live (Requiem),” which is my favorite rendition of the three.

Bittersweet symphony is more lightweight than many of his other raps, and those can be overwhelming to say the least. Other somewhat easier new raps are Genesis (a one-take again) and Power. Right Here, Right Now (Fatboy Slim Retake) (a one-take). Children Of The Moon is a bit older I think. And Ren X Sam Tompkins - What Went Wrong,.
Then there is his Bardcore 3-part storytelling masterpiece called Ren - The Tale of Jenny & Screech that you have already done a reaction to.

Ren does 1 take videos but most takes aren’t perfect because nobody is perfect. He just gives us the best of what he can do at that time.
I think he uses half chords too. The most important line is Chinchilla's first line. "Sertraline and a sip of serotonin, don't cry cause there's a pill for everything." That's the key to the song the line that spells it out. Sertraline or Zoloft is a serotonin selective reuptake inhibitor used for depression that leads to self deletion in youth. It's about overprescription addiction and how the cure for addiction is ofetn another prescription.
Ren was misdiagnosed a decade ago by doctors. He actually had Lime Disease but they thought his mind was playing tricks and gave him strong drugs psychotropics and told him he was crazy. The Lyme disease ran amuck for 7-8 years. He is currently in Canada receiving treatment to undo all the damage done. his life was dramatically shortened by the misdiagnosis but he is doing his best to stay in shape and recover all the stolen years past & future. Basically it's like having a broken leg and the Dr telling you it's all in your head and prescribing a bunch of super strong psychotropics for 7-8 years. I saw an interview the NHS would make fun of him for asking for more tests on his blood. They are the pig in his videos. He can't explicitely say it he'd be cancelled.
Her line - "There's a pill for everything" was so... Ugh - I forgot to specifically talk about that, but I felt it. It pissed me off.
I'm just happy that he is gifting us with his music.

I'll have to check and see if you've done 'Diazepam,' when Ren was misdiagnosed with various things like Bipolar and ME/CFS it was one of the drugs he was put on, it caused hallucinations and derealization, it in part with the Lyme infection caused his psychosis.
It wasn't until he got a clue from an ME support group that the mental issues could be due to an infection that he went to a gastroenterologist for antibiotics that did indeed help, then to Belgium to an Infection Disease doctor who did diagnose him with Lyme Disease that he finally turned a corner and saw a future, a path to treatment, and maybe a chance again at a career.
He mentions derealization in 'Sick Boi' and part of 'Chalk Outlines' is 'swallow this one and you'll be fine,' 'there's a drug for everything,' 'hope I'm someone else in the morning,' this is all about the drugs, psychosis, and despair that had him feel like 'a floating chalk outline.'
I haven't watched it yet, but it's on my list!

Been a huge Ren fan since I first heard Hi Ren when it launched. Love listening to Ren Gill and Daisy (aka Chinchilla) all their duets are special, even them busking. Well done with the chords as a musician that's the first thing I done after hearing this song, picked up the guitar and started strumming. It helps if you finger pick the first three chords (sounds sweeter) Unfortunately I'd have to change the key thought it's a little high for my voice.
Oh yes, it was just this first chord that got me so intrigued. I had to play it! I'm still a beginner though, so... takes me time. Thanks for the guitar tip! I'll try it!

Great reaction Roni as usual... In the intro part, Ren is playing 2 note chords, also known as double stops. Major and minor triad chords have a 1st, 3rd and a 5th note in them from the scale, if the 3rd is flattened one semitone becomes a minor. The chords Ren is playing don't have a 5th, they consist of the 1st notes and the 3rd (or minor/b3rd, depending whether you are playing a major or minor chord) from the chords, but the 3rd is an octave displaced above the 1st note. I'd never heard this being done before and I've been playing with it ever since, its lovely to experiment with... So for Chalk Outlines, you just pluck the thick E string and the G string simultaneously so E/G on the following frets: 9/9 (C#m), 5/6 (Amaj), 0/1 (Emaj). @ronireacts_to_all I feel like he's a lonely soul and she's a lonely spirit. She went through what he's going through and was drawn by his emotional singing in the night. It's why the lights flickered at the start. There was a spirit nearby. And why she wasn't there originally as the camera panned around.
