Ah another upload by the most unfairly, chronically undersubbed Channel on RUclips, been with you for years man. I was a mad Leftovers-head and after it ended I look at every video about it, yours was by far the best. And in the last 4 years your writing and style have only improved. Wishing you only the best my man.
Long algo boosting comment and compliment complete

This is GREAT! Keep up the awesome work... Just spent the last hour in a Peter Greenaway-shaped rabbit hole 🎭🐰

Excellent video (as always) and fascinating source material. I would love to see you tackle more of these topics, maybe Peter Greenaway - a cursory search shows that there are virtually no video essays discussing his work. Also, AFAIK, Mark Fisher seems to be one of the only writers who took the time to write something analytical about some of these strange British programs like Children of the Stones. I recommend checking out the "Megalithic Astropunk" episode of the K-Files / Buddies Without Organs podcast.

I attribute the vibe of 80s British TV shows from a cross between the popularity of Doctor Who and the rise of terryfying PSAs

Only halfway thru so maybe you cover it later, but old TV / Polish cinemas masterpiece Dekalog deserves a look I think it's from the 70s
EDIT: also I have no idea simon pegg and Wright had worked on a prior show, I feel my "super fan" status must now be stripped of me
Double edit: I also didn't know about the XRA follow, man I'm getting a couple good recs from a man with good taste

I might talk about Kieślowski's Dekalog at some point, but I feel it's already relatively well-known/acclaimed.

@@StudioErsatz that's true but you're takes are always so unique, I doubt they'd be another video out there that's anything like how you'd do it
