トヨタ 2E エンジン
Thank you, I just did the same, without removing the ignition-unit, and also left the hoses connected to the thermostat cap.
Thanks dude. I'm not much of a motor mac, but this vid made it real easy for me to replace...
Your welcome dude
yes! if you live in tropical country like ours (no winter)
@j3ff3r upper radiator hose 450 pesos, lower 640 pesos, bypass hose 480 pesos
I bought an 89 EE90 E2 Corolla with 127000 kilometers on it. The coolant is rusty but the cooler is new. I wonder if I should replace the water outlet and pipes with new ones as I run rust removal liquid in the cooler.
Removing the thermostat would do damage to your engine, it will be more prone to overheating and more fuel consumption. You can also check the internet so that you can know what automotive thermostats are for.
....he's replacing it.... did you really think it wasnt gonig to be replaced? lol.
engine would blow up in 20 kilometers
Thanks for the advice,so far,so if warning lights didnt come on i am fine, however noticed the red looking colour corrosion at all pipe/hose ends as if its leaking through the housing etc,is this sign of replacing the housing are what is causing this,so that it can be rectified, once again thanks, mechanics in this South Africa are ridiculous with there prices, cheers
Can't answer that question, i want to see that pipe/hose ends in real life.
Your welcome
Great music for the vid!
1:35 are his coolant hoses normally dirty or risky dirty?
sir, san ang shop mo? or naghohome service ka ba? where i contact you? thanks.
Hi,anybody can do this now, awesome thanks for help,
would a sensor fail first giving warning signal on dash, indicating a problem has occurred, also replacing an additive is required or can you reuse what you've drained, thanks a mill
Hi, first of all i live in a tropical climate so the car have "NO" thermostat in it, the car is running without thermostat. If the thermostat have a problem (not functioning) the engine will overheat the temperature sensor will kick in and it will give a signal of overheating in the dashboard. You can reuse what you've drained.
sir, ask lng normal ba sa 2e engine pag on ng key papalo agad ang temp.ng kalahati at mananatili lng sa kalahati pag nakarikta ng andar ang rad.fan
whats the gasket called in the back under the manifold
Will gasket maker be fine to use as a seal or will I need to buy the seal from a motor spares shop?
At 5:33 YOU MUST USE A GASKET MAKER PERIOD !!! NEVER USE ANY KIND OF SEAL THAT COME IN YOUR MIND !!!
Does anyone know this part number, my car is a 92 toyota tercel 1.3L engine 2E manual transmission....Alguien sabe en código del repuesto?, saludos
playstation2bigs Yes it is possible to run an engine without thermostat, But it will damage your engine, and your engine will be prone to OVERHEATING without the thermostat. Result of running an engine without a thermostat = MORE fuel consumption and MORE Overheating issues. How do I know this, my friend is a supplier of brand new Japan made spare parts. He has catalogues, instruction manuals and etc... that he gave me. He supplies spare parts to auto supply retailers in the Philippines.
sir, if I remove the distributor, do I need to adjust the timing again? thanks.
use a white pen or any marker, put a line mark in distributor and cylinder head video at 0:04
Where did you buy the new thermostat?
No thermostat installed, video all about thermostat housing
Sorry. Where did u buy the thermostat housing?

Is it posible to run an engine without thermostat?
Yes, but not recommended. It's there for a reason.
are you from the phllippine let me know thank so we can be freind
Boss mgkano price ng buo ganyan?
SO WHAT DO YOU DO WHEN YOUR CAR OVERHEAT
pedro rodriguez hammer the tip base of the thermostat to push against the protruding rod, that will damage it and make it open sooner but still allow some heat to build up. the temperature gauge wiil only rise up to about half the usual but you get away without having to replace the head gasket that soon.
Its stupid... removing the thermostat was one of the dealers servicing jobs somewhere along the years when we still did the maintenance of the dealers workshop., then the engine never reached operating temperature and started slowly decaing in performance and overall health.
Ano po trabaho nung isang sensor naka-kabit dyan sa water inlet?
Yung maliit water temperature para sa dashboard temperature gauge, yung malaki para sa radiator fan mag automatic on and off ang ikot ng rad fan
@@playstation2bigs ...
Salamat po
Bro, why the thermostat dont you plugged?
Tropical country here. (Hot weather)
Same, me to. I m from indonesia.
So, if thermostat unplugged
Do you think is safe? Cant not make temp overheating?
@@firdausaddailamy6837 using car for almost 20 years with no thermostat
100% safe. Perfect for our hot climate. The coolant will will just keep on flowing in the system with out the thermostat. I've been driving without thermostat for 10yrs now. (my corolla 2e engine)
At least get some decent lights if you’re going to film in the dark.
