I know that we are faced with these violent images on our news everyday, but this story is different. Hannelle and her family had faith in Christ knowing at any moment their lives could be taken. They had a peace that surpasses all understanding. To boldly uproot your family to a hostile country to spread salvation in Christ Jesus is the most precious assignment God would ever allow. Matthew 6:14 : Forgiving others springs out of my gratitude to God for His forgiving me. Because I have “freely received” God calls me to “freely give.” To forgive those seeking to injure you or me is to remove ourselves from their counsel and to be unfettered by anger, pain, or disappointment.
