In the beginning Defrag had nothing to do with CTF. It was just a mod with an official site and a couple of dozens of maps made specifically for it. CTF support was added much later and speedcapture site was created to host those demos. By 2005 there were only about 300 df maps or so, excluding CTF ones.

Is there any info on how to setup Quake 3 to allow for showing the region zone for where the mouse should be while strafe jumping for practice or is this a defrag option by chance?

Its called the cgaz hud, it should be available within your defrag.exe you just need to google the right commands to enable

those options are only available in defrag afaik

@@kurukq Yeah for some reason the snap hud does not work at all with Quake3e. Had to use the actual defrag binary to get it working.
