Candy Dulfer is one of my favorite female sax players the other being Mindy Abair. Dave Stewart was in a band called The Eurythmics with Annie Lennox back in the 80s.
went through 2 copies of that cd, I always had after market stereos in my cars, everyone was thumping on either metal or some hip-hop, I was blasting Candy
lol! Just stumbled upon this! Thank you so much for your comments, glad you love it so much. You can come to my show and you won't go to sleep ha! Much Love from Candy
This track is the reason I learned the saxophone now 14 years later I can play this beautiful tune. My favourite saxophone piece. BTW India you have such a lovely expressive face 😃
Listened to the whole soundtrack a lot growing up, very evocative and dark. It reminds me of the feeling of being alone in a big city after dark on a wet night. Liked your reaction too, you have listened to some great music on your channel. Some of it was the soundtrack to my life!!
OMG, I can not believe you reacted to Candy Dulfer. I know this was her hit but she has so many other that are 10 times better. If you liked this you have to listen to some of her other stuff, I promise it will be on your play list if you liked this video. As far as more Candy I say Please, please, please do more Candy Dulfer started out with Prince before going on her own. She had this one hit and the full version of Lilly Was Here is excellent. But while Dave Stewart is the big name, kind of, the other guitar player in this video is Uclo Bed who is an amazing guitar player and has been with Candy for years. Candy Dulfer is big in Europe and there are some great videos of her live in concert and while I will give you guys 2 links, it's not easy picking just two, I could easy do 20 The first link is her cover of the Bonnie Raitt classic, I Can't Make You Love Me. In this video the stand out Is Uclo Bed on guitar with one of the most tasteful guitar solos you will ever hear and Roger Happel on vocals is great. ruclips.net/video/Iip-CjYOVZM/видео.html The next one is hard to pick out but I am going with her cover of Friends/Sunny from her Candy Store tour that has so many great songs. In this one it's Candy and her sax featured more. The vocals are Chance Howard, another Ex-Prince musician, and Leona who is a former Voice of Holland winner. ruclips.net/video/hwHT42NE3Fk/видео.html I really hope you guys (and Gals) enjoy these videos and India, it would be great to see your reaction, but I hope you at least listen to them seeing as you seem to love this kind of music
I just can`t belive there are full grown-up people who never heard such classics. The other day I saw a reaction "First time listening to QUEEN - Bohemian Rapsody". C`mon! Really?!? Or never heard of The BEATLES? Damn... :)))
Can you believe that this -song- instrumental was neither written nor rehearsed? It was a jam session never meant to be released. It was recorded in one take.
Dave Stewart played guitar with band the Eurythmics and before that The Tourists and has some real skill. Candy Dulfer is a Dutch jazz and pop saxophonist. She is the daughter of jazz saxophonist Hans Dulfer. She began playing at age six and founded her band Funky Stuff when she was fourteen. Her debut album Saxuality received a Grammy nomination and I think she'll be turning 50 soon but this came out in the 90's. It was at the forefront of chillout music and has been sampled lots of times but it is still one cool tune.
Wauw havent seen this for a while. Our girl Candy Dulfer. You should see her together with Glennis Grace in the ladies of soul. Performing Ill always love you by Whitney Houston ❤🌹
Dave Stewart is a musical genius and a very intelligent guy. Who likes to keep a fairly low profile. Was originally a guitarist but has become somewhat better known for his work with synthesizers (especially as part of the Eurythmics).
Candy Dulfer is a member of "Ladies of Soul" back in The Netherlands along with Glennis Grace, Trijntje oosterhuis, Edsillia Romley, Ruth Jaccot and Berget Lewis 👀🐱👤👍 And Dave Stewart is know from the "Euritmics"of course 😎 Oh and Candy played with Prince as in "If I want Sax I call Candy"-qoute Prince-
Dave A Stewart is a singer, songwriter and producer who was the other half of the Eurythmics for a long time. Stewart hails from the City of Sunderland in the North East of England between Newcastle upon Tyne and Middlesbrough. Candy Dulfer is a Dutch female saxophonist (from the Netherlands). No singing on this track Lily was here is an instrumental.
This was a soundtrack to a movie called "the cashier". It was great hit at the time much bigger then the movie itself. Concerning Candy Dulfer herself. She had worked and toured with Prince and many others over the years. Look her up she is still touring today.😁. Another great track is " no end"
The Baloise Session is in Switzerland not with Dave Stewart but with Ulco Bed on guitar and his guitarsolo (starting at 8.15 and ending 10.18) is superb!
Dave A Stewart is one of those artists who is very talented and does a lot of work with other artists but perhaps people are just not aware. He's a producer as well as a songwriter and has of course done some of his own music as well as that which he did with Annie Lennox as the other half of the Eurythmics.
It’s like sex to my ears🙈 I’ve been listening to this song since it was still on CD, listening to it on my (CD) Walkman; i.e. before iPods were even invented🙈😂 And I’m 33, so that says a lot about how long ago that was😂
Hey India... I just happened across this video while seeing another reactor doing some Candy Dulfer. She does a lot of really good stuff... Her cover of Pick Up The Pieces is not one you would close your eyes and relax to ;-) ...but for a couple that you could chill out to, my favorite band ever (Be Bop Deluxe) had a couple... Adventures In A Yorkshire Landscape Shine Both from their Live! In The Air Age album. Hope you might check them out... even if not for the channel :-)
This was a great instrumental. Another one you could react to is: ruclips.net/video/3DB-uJ0TxKQ/видео.html It is by Mark Knopfler, and it the theme to the film Local Hero. You will love it.
that video was aids (not your fault) but omg it was all over the place, had 4 or 5 DIFFERENT guitar players who were NOT Dave, video sync was a mess, nothing about what you watched was enjoyable. The song is great, the un-butchered video is great, the problem is that was not this.
Just found this video. Been a Andy Dukfer fan for some time. She can do no wrong in my book. !
Candy Dulfer is one of my favorite female sax players the other being Mindy Abair. Dave Stewart was in a band called The Eurythmics with Annie Lennox back in the 80s.
Wow, we're rarely seen you zone out like that during a song. It really is a relaxing chill piece of music, isn't it?
Oh my gosh I LOVE this song!! Love her music! Such amazing sax and guitar! Thank you for this one, so dang good!!
Great tune, from a great movie. The live version with Dave Stewart blows you away with their improv skills!
It's really not from a movie, is it?
Dang, brings back memories of swaying in the dark to this.
I found Candy in the 90’s and I was BLOWN AWAY. She is one of the BEST saxophonists, male OR female, that I have EVER heard!
Drove a cab when this was popular, people used to love it when I played it, good tips.
Yes indeed it was wonderful watching you get introduced to Candy Dulfer she is amazing. Great reaction as always
A classic statement and response. A conversation between guitar and sax. Brilliant.
This is one of three songs that made me fall in love with the Sax.
I love this album "Saxuality" - great road trip music
went through 2 copies of that cd, I always had after market stereos in my cars, everyone was thumping on either metal or some hip-hop, I was blasting Candy
Candy play's with "de ladies of Soul". With Glennis Grace.
She also played with Prince.
Classic "call and respond" instrumental. One instrument "calls" to the other and that instrument responds back.
lol! Just stumbled upon this! Thank you so much for your comments, glad you love it so much. You can come to my show and you won't go to sleep ha! Much Love from Candy

Your face really said it all haha. Sometimes you just don't need words, just like in this song.
Absolutely love this!! I never heard of Candy before watching your video, thanks for reacting to it India
Listened to the whole soundtrack a lot growing up, very evocative and dark. It reminds me of the feeling of being alone in a big city after dark on a wet night. Liked your reaction too, you have listened to some great music on your channel. Some of it was the soundtrack to my life!!
beautiful great memory.
I remember when this came out, and it actually got a good deal of air play on top 40 stations.
This song tells a story without using words

This takes me back to the early 90s, such a cool vibe.
I just can`t belive there are full grown-up people who never heard such classics. The other day I saw a reaction "First time listening to QUEEN - Bohemian Rapsody". C`mon! Really?!? Or never heard of The BEATLES? Damn... :)))
One of my All Time Favorites...
Can you believe that this -song- instrumental was neither written nor rehearsed? It was a jam session never meant to be released. It was recorded in one take.
Her Saxuality album was in a box of old CDs, it's now on my favorites.😁
Dave Stewart played guitar with band the Eurythmics and before that The Tourists and has some real skill. Candy Dulfer is a Dutch jazz and pop saxophonist. It's so pretty it almost makes me weep. It takes me away too, Candy is soo smooth and they work. I like your take on it👍🏽.
Yes, that is my home girl Candy, fun fact she toured with the late Prince! Yes and Mindi Abair is another one to look into!
Also see Candy Dulfer playing live with Pink Floyd. Shine On You Crazy Diamond at Knebworth.
Wauw havent seen this for a while. Our girl Candy Dulfer. You should see her together with Glennis Grace in the ladies of soul. Performing Ill always love you by Whitney Houston ❤🌹

Can you react to the lady's of soul, also with Candy Dulfer
Excellent
As you see in video, Candy and David have collaborated on this a lot since 1989.
Check out the Baloise Session 2015 performance with Ulco Bef on electric guitar, he rips an epic solo at 6 minutes in.
This was a soundtrack to a movie called "the cashier". It was great hit at the time much bigger then the movie itself. Concerning Candy Dulfer herself. She had worked and toured with Prince and many others over the years. Look her up she is still touring today.😁. Another great track is " no end"

India - You have good taste.... Hardly hear Candy Dulfer anymore
You should check out : "Candy Dulfer - Lily Was Here (Baloise Session 2015 with Intro)" The best live version of this song !
She is from Holland and Dave from Great Britain. You should hear play Pick Up the Pieces.
I first heard this song on Pure Moods Vol 1.
classic
It’s like sex to my ears🙈 I’ve been listening to this song since it was still on CD, listening to it on my (CD) Walkman; i.e. before iPods were even invented🙈😂 And I’m 33, so that says a lot about how long ago that was😂
Such a fluid sound. Try Why? An Annie Lennox. Annie Lennox was with Dave Stewart in the Eurythmics.
PLEASE react to Ladies of Soul, "Run to You" With Glennis Grace/ Radio 538 Ladies of Soul - Soul Medley/ You'll be IMPRESSED
Look originel music video
You gotta hear boney james into the blue, or grand central

Shine
Both from their Live! In The Air Age album. Hope you might check them out... even if not for the channel :-)
Maybe wanna listen to Kensington too, Dutch band with awsome music.
This is some very sexy music.
Such a sultry sexy steamy song.
Candy has a sexy voice
dutch girl
Not best video, it keeps showing the guy on the electric guitar, Dave Steward is the one on the acoustic, playing the actual cool licks.
Average white band. A love of your own.
Pick Up the Pieces.

This reminds me of B movie porn in the 80’s. I would have paid you ten not to post this lol.
I wouldn't pay you anything for your comment, worthless.
