  • In this episode, I head back to my new permission and make some tweaks on my XP Deus II. It pays off BIG TIME! I dug some VERY DEEP targets and also made some surprise finds. I talk about the importance of setting up your machine for the type of hunt you'll be doing, and I also show firsthand why its so important to dig iffy "trash" signals.

    Great video. Just bought the Deus 2, and am enjoying trying to learn all the settings. You explained it well. Take care, Pal and HH. Pap

      Thank you. It’s a lot to learn, but as far as I’m concerned, it’s the best machine out there…so it’s well worth the time needed to learn it. You’re gonna love it!

    Changing coils, changing your swing, etc. makes a difference. Speaking from experience. Need to let me try the Nox out there 😂. Awesome day though.

      I really want to get a 13” coil out there but not willing to pay $340 for one 🤣

    Nice hunt. I love my Deus 2. I also have some deep programs for the hunted out civil war fields. I dig a lot of iffy signals. Also going to get the 13" coil as soon as the wife gives me the okay 😢.

      What’s your favorite go-to deep program? Yeah, I’m in the same boat about the coil.

      @@reliclife I use a deep program in Sensitive Ft. Recovery sometimes down to 1 - 1.5 , dis. at 4.5 and sometimes down to zero. Sensitivity wide open if possible. If I start finding things, I look like a snail moving scraping the ground. Seems like I dig more deep iron in Deep HC.

      @@terrygreennway9655I may have to give your settings a try just to see if I can get even more depth. It’s a new permission, so I’m still trying to dial in on the best settings. In this video, I was moving at snail’s pace too. Thanks for your feedback!

      @@terrygreennway9655 I really love the ORX. I used to keep mine as a backup once I got the D2, but I sold it in order to buy the 9” coil. It was a fantastic little machine though.

    Nice finds! I would definitely look into the 13" coil. I got 4 bullets the other day using mine, at 12-15" deep easy... plus the high grass. General program with a few changes. Disc 6.8 Sens 97 Iron Volume 1 Reactivity 1 Audio Response 5 Threshold 0. Using version 0.71. Good luck hunting.

      I’ll work on that. I showed the VDI’s in my 2 videos previous to this one, but the targets in this last video were so deep, it took me a lot of time to dig the holes. People probably would’ve fallen asleep watching me dig 🤣

    Done that before, brother! Not hitting "record." Awesome video. You're getting on down there depth-wise. You may need to apply for a passport before long! Nice digging. That Deus looks like it's getting the deep stuff for you. Congrats, bud!

      Thank you bud! I really appreciate the kind words. Remembering to record is challenging with all of the swinging, digging, walking, etc. Yeah, I was hoping I didn’t make it down to China without my passport! 🤣

      I used to have an AT Max and made some excellent finds with it. Not a bad machine at all. What type of soil do you hunt in mostly? Sandy? Red clay?

      A little of bit of everything up here in Michigan. Its 61 degrees here today. Thinkin about swingin in a litttle bit ;)

      @reliclife  10 месяцев назад

      @@nmarsh1460 That sounds like the perfect temperature! Enjoy! I've found a lot of really cool relics with the AT Max. As for advice, the best I can offer is to use either All Metal or Zero Mode, (I preferred Zero Mode) and turn up the sensitivity as high as you can get away with. If you're hunting in heavy iron, the little 6" and 4.5" coils do an awesome job getting in between the nails. When I was out in open pasture, I really loved the NEL Thunder coil. I covered a lot of ground and got some pretty amazing depth with that coil. Always be sure to ground balance. Good luck out there, and keep swingin'!
