This is absolutely fantastic. Firhill is my favourite away day. Always had a soft spot for Thistle and this has grown after the senseless demotion last season. Pathetic decision. As a Hearts fan and seeing Edinburgh full of old firm tops my respect for Partick fans has always been high on the scale as the challenge of ignoring it is multiplied by 1000 in Glasgow. A proper football club. All the best. Can’t wait to see you beat Hibs in the premier league in a few seasons.
One of the catchiest football songs ever. Excellent to see Gerry Collins in his hard hat in the footage. Brilliant stuff. This should be the theme of that documentary they're making. Make it a worldwide hit.
I think it's only fair if I comment. I love your work Ian. MTJ! What a great support we've summoned. I'm not the Albert Craig. I'm just in for it. OTIG!
Intro is simply C to Cmaj7, Verse starts on G... to D on "called". To Am on "even when we lost", back to G on "loud". To C ("I'll return to.."), back to G on "Road", to C on "breathing", Back to G on "home", to Cmaj7 on "falling" Same sequence for 2nd verse Bridge starts Am ("A thousand..."), to E, ("Look at once surprised..."), back to Am ("as they look behind"), to Am7 on "and see", then to D for "Lambie." Send your e-mail address if you want to see my effort at a cover!
@@kyotocoversjimanderson782 you are pretty much spot on. During the chorus when it goes to the G it then goes to a chord which I don’t actually know the name of but the top string just changes from a G to an F#. Also there’s no change to Am7 but now that I think about it, probably would work quite well! You’ve obviously got a good ear to work all that out though so well done and would love to see a cover
@@ianmackinnon5061 Thanks, Ian. Looked again for the first time in ages. It's a great song. The G with the Fsharp on the high E string is Gmaj 7. I noticed an error in the bridge chords I wrote: the E should definitely be Em. If you can give an e-mail address I'll send my covid lock-down attempt at it.
It's a place I call my home... where my soul will always roam 🤔👍❤️
