I need to make a new video detailing this updates its been a long time and ive gotten caught up with work and not been able to take the time to make a quality video for you guys, but rest assured they have fixed almost all of the issues and the unit is very well rounded now, very accurate to shots people hit in real life I have a friend who can't seem to get the ball in the air constantly thinning it and rapsodo shows his shots to a T. The connection time is a lot smoother now especially with it remembering networks you are connected to.
Good video, thanks. I just received my MLM 2 Pro yesterday. I tried the connection and sure enough, it would not link to my home wifi. It did list it at the top of available wifi but would not connect. I tried linking to the Rapsoda via direct and that appeared to work. I went to the MLM Pro from Skytrak due to misreads and dropouts plus slow reaction time, but it seems like I may have jumped from the frying pan into the fire! :) I still have the Skytrak, so I may end up sticking with that until Rapsoda sort out the software issues.
Thanks for the video. Well done. I too have connection issues which I hope is corrected with the new firmware and app update that came out today. I too have the stickers and I was very pleased with the results compared to the Rapsodo ball. The differences in spin were very minimal.
connection issues seem to fixed... 10 months later. for the price point this thing is great. understand they probly outsource programmers so the takes longer due to the all feedback and issue reports. the sim is bare bones but great for practice. honestly but now the sim has an elevation beta so its worth checking out again.

Update came out today and two more are coming in the next two weeks that should fix the connectivity issues. I have the device and do not have any issues but I know they have been working hard in helping people with connectivity issues. The device is amazing though. Love the accuracy, video feedback, shot tracer on the range. Can’t wait for more features to come as well
Thank you point out the flaws. My experience has been pretty bad. Wasted a lot of practice time trying to get it to work instead of hitting balls. It’s crazy that the gen one was so simple to connect and get up and running.
Good video, hadn't seen the stickers but I designed a 3d printable jig to mark any ball with sharpies. Seems to work well. Good to see others are also doing something similar.

All he asks is you do not print it for sale he has done 8 variations so far so he is testing with the community so please do not ruin it for the rest of you decide to download it and print it! 🙏🏼
Their is members of the community on Facebook who have designed 3D Printed jig’s to do exactly what you are saying! I have my friend printing me one and sending it soon so I can do a review on it. I’ll be uploading a video soon tho where I do show permanent marker transferring to my club faces that is good to keep in mind as well.
New video going out tonight! Couldnt get E6 to work on video but I have used it with the rapsodo the first 2 days after its official release it worked great and I was all for it, unfortunately now I cant get it to stay connected when I open E6!
Yeah impact vision can be a little funky. Did you go back and check the impact camera after about 10 minutes? The front camera will not cut off if you look at the combined camera view. Doesn’t help if your looking at the replay straight after the shot.
yeah it still does this now and again its funny because my friend is right handed and im left handed so its very obvious when its my swing but his impact vision.
I have had no issues connecting my iPhone to the Rapsodo via Wi-Fi. The crazy thing is it’s near impossible to connect my iPad Pro to the same Rapsodo and unfortunately the iPad has no Sim so no Internet connectivity. I tried using my iPhone as a hotspot and the Rapsodo won’t see it. As a checkpoint, I’m using an update from April 28, it is a third update my unit received for both software and firmware. The latest version seems to have gotten rid of the dancing yellow box for the hitting area, which was sort of annoying in the previous releases Personally I’m glad they’re being aggressive with the updates and bodes well for the future of getting this device zeroed in as they start to receive more data from users. I really wish they would get rid of the light gray font on a white background it’s hard to read inside. I can’t imagine how hard it could be to read outside, I also think they need to embrace the iPad form factor in the software more than they currently are, and make it less phone like. Another big let down was having to get to an end of a session to see the video from the impact vision camera, that needs to be available after each shot on request.
@@scottintexas I have attempted to send feedback to the developers several times, but probably due to the number of issues they are experiencing with connectivity, at least before the most recent update, there seems to be a team of folks responding to requests with pretty much a standard reply of “Thanks for the feedback we have forwarded it onto the development team“ When I requested a return authorization, I again summarized all my suggestions and a final email. I think the product has a lot of potential, but for me, the app user experience and the lack of club path and face to target data led to a decision that I would be disappointed with my purchase even after connectivity issues were fixed, which I’m pretty sure they will be. I am also afraid that the data, particularly distances, will not be accurate enough in my environment to be happy, using it for simulation or practice. My distances on range are 30-40 percent longer outside when compared to inside. My range data was very similar to my course data which leads me to believe that my bay is not compatible with the unit and that was the straw that broke the camel’s back.
It looks at the wi-fi connections cached on your phone to identify SSIDs, I think. The connectivity (for me at least ) was better after the last update. At least the device became usable again. I think this update also fixed the issue with the camera cutoffs for the impact vision at least. It also takes about 5 or 10 minutes for the impact vision to upload. I completely agree with your assessment of the Rapsodo software.
It's nice to have the two cameras but it also sucks it is for crappy software I just hate paying subscription services But it is worth it if it is actually supplying you with a lot of data and allowing you to have like video games even though I spend a lot of money on Call of Duty it kind of makes sense
Downloaded and installed new firmware 2.48. Still can’t connect to local wifi. Rapsodo shipped us a great Launch monitor with Beta software. I’ve lost patience and I’m considering returning it. Swingcaddie sc4 looks slick.
I have also updated to the latest firmware and my device is almost unusable I can’t even connect to awesome golf on top of it literally not fixing a single issue I mentioned in this video from what I have seen. I would love to do a follow up video going over the update but as of right now the entire video would be me just trying to connect to the MLM 2 Pro this is extremely unfortunate. Seems Rapsodo maybe used a 4th grader and ChatGPT to code their entire app? 🤷♂️
@@nopark3693 I expect it can measure spin rate, esp. using an RCT ball, see the Garmin R10. However, it presumably cannot measure spin axis, which the MLM2PRO can do using the RPT ball and camera.
I’m so sad rn cause after the release of E6 it was working perfectly for 2 days I did some testing 3rd day went to record a video and couldn’t get it to connect I have tried 3 times since with no luck will try again today. It really is gonna be a amazing product once the bugs are worked out I believe!
Love it! The thing is a hassel, still has issues but curious how it plays out. I know it is improving but mostly garbage for functionality. I'll ride it out just bc they have video & doppler. Once I have to re-subscribe in 1 year, since they want to lock us in for annual payments, they can suck it if it isn't awesome. I'll smash that thing on video at 150mph and try to drive it 300yds. So many problems, can't get the ball and body in view, can't export, flight distance is wrong, won't sync, connect sucks, functionality when not connected is lame, probably gonna bust it.
I believe it works with 5ghz and 2.4ghz because I have starlink which is 2.4/5 switches back and fourth it reads the router fine. I can't imagine it would be very smart of them to make it only work with one band since most people have 5g nowadays and 2.4 is really only for when your outside of the 5g coverage area. Hope that helps if you check out my most recent video you'll see some improvements!
You can use sharpie to put the dots on, I recently got my hands on a 3D print jig to mark the ball in the exact same pattern. I’m working on a video that will be out soon showing the deviation between RPT balls, sticker, sharpie. Rapsodo also recently released updates that have made the software ages better and yesterday released access to E6 Golf with 5 free courses I’ll make a video on that it’s finally seeming to come together nicely! Edit: good to note if you use a simulator screen and mark ur ball with sharpie it will leave marks on the white screen with a net it’s no big deal.

What they need is a plastic container to put the ball in with holes where the dots need to be. Then a simple magic market can do the job

ive never had a single issue connecting to my wifi idk why everyone else has issues

I just got new firm ware on 5/6 and it had little more issues with it dropping connection. But overall if I have 5G I can pump thru sessions

I am not sure how SC4 measures spinrate. Because it doesn't have camera but only radar. That's my only concern about SC4

When it does work, it drains my phone battery in 20-30 minutes. A session at a range would be bad for your blood pressure.
Absolutely demolishes my phones battery as well I try to always have it plugged in but if I don’t it’s sayonara!
