I absolutely love how the entire cast calls the safety without power advantage the Houdini
After all the ridiculous hate Michele got for winning Kaoh Rong, it’s so nice for the fanbase to finally give her the respect she deserves. This season showed she’s a great character and probably one of the best at playing from the bottom.
She played a better game from the bottom than Sandra did in H v V and didn't get a single vote. Robbed.
I bet 10 years from now, or sooner, people will realize we will never get winners like Michele ever again. Now we will only get game bots, trying to become “the best”.
@@karlos_infamous part of what is required to win is to have the jury's sympathy, and she did on her first season (more than the other 2 at least, which is enough), that's why Russel Hantz would never win survivor the way he likes to play. Winning survivor is all about jury management (waaay more than the "big moves"), you can't expect people to vote for you if they hate you or are bitter (they're people, not robots), you have to consider that in the game. I was rooting for Aubry, but Michele was more likeable than her, and that's what that jury wanted... you don't win survivor in only one way, each season the jury may require something different
Maestrus Yeah that’s far fetched and pretty much not true
She definitely has cemented herself as strong and memorable player.
Love her! She’s the epitome of the social game and mitigating her threat level. She has excellent reads on everything and is great at reading the overall perception of things. So glad she’s done so well every time she played
A CF The Ethan blindside was all her idea.
maggie198333 You don’t target goats. Tony has even said in interviews Michele deserved more votes.
She was out of the loop in about half the votes she was in. That shows a lack of communication, which is a MAJOR issue when it comes to the social game
A Sophie tell all would be amazing. She could probably clear the air on the edge issue and give an unbiased explanation.
Sophie did a deep dive recently and she discussed the Edge a little bit. It’s probably the best post-game interview, which is why I don’t understand why it’s hard to track down!
@@MsGoldenflower where do I find it
@@ethancostellostudent1698 I hope you found it but if you haven’t look up “RHAP Sophie Winners at War” and it’ll pop up
@exa no it's not
She plays an extremely low key game but I really like her gameplay. As far as we've seen she is also clutch at the final immunity challenge which is impressive.
Love her alternative style.
she would be killer in old school survivor
I like how she mentioned that everyone felt comfortable with their plan because that's what it looked like. It was so frustrating to watch. They were so confident in talking strategy and targeting people until it was apparent that they were leaving. Jeremy and Nick were so dumb believing Tony but Tony is a genius for tricking them and that's another thing that separates him and Sarah's game.
She was the HvV Sandra of this season. No one listened to her but she knew what was going on.
Exactly!! Idk why people didn’t say this more. It’s also funny because in her Survivor audition video, she says Parv should have won HvV
One of my favorite winners bc of how understated she is. She's a savant for puzzles and likely has an eidetic memory. One of the most intelligent players to ever play the game and doesn't brag about it.
We keep hearing about these "cliques" and this "tension" that developed on the Edge. I wish Rob would ask someone directly about that. I know he doesn't want to put any of his guests on the spot or make them uncomfortable, I don't want to see that either, but I'd really like someone to shed some light on that situation because it's very contrary to what we saw on the show and on the Ponderosa videos, which made everyone look like they were one big happy family.
Go watch Russel podcast with wendell as the guest. Wendell explains a few incidents that happened on the edge.
@@dffndjdjd can you share that link?
nvrmnd think I found it
You have to remember that on the Edge everyone is still playing the game and have a chance to get back in, so say a Rob won't be the most talkative and friendliest to everyone because he still is strategizing. You still have to stay sharp & gather intel on people and relationships to prepare for if you get back in the game. Once that final win back challenge ends they all can let go and finally relax. We hear over and over again from many players in their Ponderosa videos that "coming out of the game" transition. I think a great Ponderosa video that shows everyone finally being friendly with each other was when they were all in that tent and had a bunch of food for the first time.
@@cjtrules1 makes no sense.
It's still the jury so distancing urself from the others isn't strategy it's personal.
Michele is incredible
One of the top 5 most intelligent players ever imo.
Yes! Michele is my favorite survivor player, thanks for doing this deep dive Rob!
I enjoyed this season and Tony absolutely deserved the win...but Michele deserved runner up and she deserves more respect
"Yul had it planned 15 steps ahead." Awesome =)
Nearly 2 hours of Michele, I'm in heaven :)
Michelle is one of the most dangerous players ever cuz she has the propensity to steal your heart, and I think she woulda have Sarah a run for her money had tony lost the fire challenge!
Sarah beats Michele. Sarah’s edit improves if it’s her in final
She may get votes in this scenario. Natalie seemingly not that well liked or game respected
Please do deep dive with Nick Wilson,,really interested to hear from his perspective about this season..about why he not voting Tony out when he's winning the immunity, why voting out Yul,Parvati,Kim, Sophie, and why he put the disadvantage to Ben not Tony??
And why vote Jeremy!! He better own up to mistake(s) or getting “hoodwinked” by Tony
All said and done, Michelle is a playah ! She always seemed to have a handle on the situation but I loved her level of self awareness when she spoke about persuasive powers...
This is my first RHAP deep dive and I have to say, I had no idea Rob is such a good interviewer! Perfect pair - Great podcast :)
Rob, I love these Deep Dives! Can we expect to see, eventually, a Deep Dive with every S40 player? Much love to Michele!
Michele is easily one of my favorite players. I’m so happy they showed more of her personality this season. Some players are so concerned about strategy or physical wins that they often forget the importance of social cues and general “vibes”. Michele seems to be great at taking a step back to evaluate social dynamics and making adjustments to get herself further.
@@CosmicDreamz139 The problem is that in Survivor one must play with the cards they're actually dealt. She was playing with 67 offsuit the entire time, if not worse. She knows when to fold and just persevere better than anyone. You can't judge her for never holding Aces because she was never dealt that hand.
@@CosmicDreamz139 Michele would have gotten the votes of Danni, Adam, Nick and Wendell but they were afraid of Natalie winning so they voted for Tony. Tony himself has said that any votes that didn't go to him should have gone to Michele over and edger.
So thankful to you rob for bringing this podcast to us. I love Michelle and so happy to have annother hour + with her.
huge respect for michele
I’m glad people are realizing her strengths as a player. No, her strength is not being strategic. She knows that and she owns it. But she’s a great social player and I hope we can acknowledge that she’s one of the best in that respect
YESSSS!!!!!!! She's one of the best social player tbh
She actually beasts in immunity’s competition
Michele's been killing it with all her interviews and social media appearances as of late and this was no exception! If and when she plays again, I hope she won't flop like Sandra's 3rd time, but performs as well as Tony's 3rd time.
I don’t think she has the skill set to play as good as tony
@@verifiedwill Agreed. I didn't mean she should play like Tony, but I'd like to see her go far and not crash out pre merge. I feel that the social winners are more underrated in the strategy and advantage heavy era of Survivor.
I don't think Sandra flopped in her third time. She controlled Game Changers up until she was swap screwed.
@@NS-mp7uu Ikr people keep forgetting that he was the 2nd boot in GC.
Isn't it just so easy to blame the Sandra vote on the 2nd swap, while totally forgetting the 1st swap that saved her ass, as it came very early, just after she gloated in front of everyone, and when her tribe was on a challenge weakness. Not to mention her other mistakes, most notably when she completely ignored Hali's warning, which costed her not only Malcolm, but also Hali's loyalty.
Michele was spot on on her take on the bias on previous season performances
Mad respect for Michelle. Was rooting for her throughout the season.
Big fan of her gameplay.
Keep up the great podcasts Rob 💯
Michelle and yul couldve been such a power duo. Michelle has the social skills to get information, and yul can use that information to form a strategy. Sucks that she went with wendell
YES!!!!!!! It hurts to know that Yul wanted to align with her
Yeah, she regretted it a lot by the way she talked about it. I would've loved that duo.
Gotta wonder what got cut at 1:40:37. Probably Michele said something that she later regretted and Rob was nice enough to cut it.
Hmmm very interesting question to cut up.
Really enjoyed the whole interview.. such a lovely gal
It’s a shame that my favourite survivor player Parvati got tribe swapped into a tribe with all 4 people in a pre game alliance. That was dirty
I need more Winchele content in the off season
Love Michele, you’re so chill! Thanks for giving us this interview and insights into season 40
I think we can all agree that she is elite when it comes to the social aspect. Can't think of many that top her. Incredibly intuitive and amazing reads on people.
Why isn’t this video available on the Rob’s RUclips page?
That's where I'm watching it right now is his RUclips page
@@kentbarger5021 Ok, but i made that comment yesterday it wasn't on his site then so that doesn't defeat my original point.
@@tatersalad8648 It wasnt't up yet, brother. Share some salad and listen to rockin' Rob's podcast
Michelle is def one of my favourite players. Loved watching her this season!
When’s the tony “tell all?”
When is the Yul deep dive
Michelle is one of my favourite players. Love her game play.
I feel like if they ever do another all winners season in the future, they should finally pull the trigger on the concept of the merge from day 1. it seems that in S40, the tribe swaps really screwed a few people over (like rob and parvati and yul as mentioned in the pod) and I think I would've loved to have seen how those players fared in a merged tribe dynamic. I also think it would've been interesting to see how all the pregame alliances together at one camp would've affected the order of the votes. like amber probably would not have been voted out second if she had rob there at the same tribe because the old school + poker "alliance" wouldn't have been split up. though I love s40 I would love to see this dynamic in a future winners season.
It’s funny to hear her talk about after the Tyson vote, trying to get Jeremy to believe her that tony was gonna vote him out and him not having any of it, because, from listening to Tony’s deep dive, the second he heard Sophie tell her about it, he booked it to Jeremy and swayed his trust before Michele got there. Another instance of him being just a step ahead.
I can't believe Michele didn't win second place. No disrespect to Natalie, she's amazing but somebody who missed most of the game, should not even be in final 3.
Hey Rob, are you going to do a podcast with Nick?
what an effortless charm ♥
So weird how pre-game alliances aren't even considered taboo or immoral anymore.
well I think a part of that is just a trait specifically to this season. Because it's not like these people are new players who just got cast and then reached out to others to form alliances to better their game. They're survivor veterans, and even more so, they're fellow winners; it's natural for them to form a kinship with each other after they've won their season. And you can't exactly just make them forget their bonding moments with each other once they realize they're going to be cast on an all-winners season.
It's always been a thing. That's why, in hindsight, this season isn't that good. If Tony and Sarah weren't good friends in real life, Sarah would've targeted Tony after the Sophie vote. If Michele didn't have her preformed alliance, she would've tried to be in a different alliance and had a whole different game. Rob and Amber were big targets because they were married, same as Jeremy and Natalie, etc.
It's now inevitable with an all returning players cast.
Sophie and Michelle were amazing this season. Just wish their was more to the fire tokens.
At the end you guys discussed Michele's game being less obvious to the jury. Would be interesting to hear Michele's thoughts on sending letters to the edge.
The shade to Ben 😭😂
I would have to disagree, if you played Tony’s type of play, you would have won....
So parvati got voted out because she was against 4 people in a pre-game alliance..
Where’s Adams deep dive
It’s on any podcast platform
Didnt Russell and Amanda Kimmel also make the final 2 in both of they're first 2 seasons?
Correct. Both just struggled to really win the jury over in either time
Yes aswell as Sandra however Michelle is currently the only 2 time player to never be voted out.
its not showing on search and video list. just on your twitter post link. FYI.
If I had been on the island, I would’ve voted for Michelle.
If I had been on the edge, I would’ve voted for Natalie.
I’m very happy for tony and I strongly believe the one who gets the votes deserves the win. I just think it’s interesting how the winners of this season think.
I wonder if you replaced ALL of the winners at war cast with the OTHER winners EXCEPT for Michelle, Natalie, and Tony; how would things have turned out??
Love Michelle
I always liked Michelle didn’t even know she had hate for Kao wrong
Do you guys play secret hitler on the podcast? If not you definitely should. That would be super interesting
Michele love you girl!!
queen
Haha Natalie dismissing people once again. 7:30
As far as the votes vs. fire tokens, giving you the fire tokens is a barometer so to speak, but when you balance that against the game play of Tony, you have to give it to him. He had more to do with who went out than anyone that season. He had to be taken out in order for anyone else to win.Still, before the votes, I was always on team Michele.
I respect Michele so much more after winners at war
Gawd…. Michelle’s pre-game alliance was so Damm strong…. Rob and Parvati, especially Parv, should NEVER have come back to play season 40…. They had death warrants the second they hit the beach lol
Please Bring Tony Vlachos The G.O.A.T!!!
I know Rob is from Boston, but why does everyone call him Boston Rob? Michelle isn't called Jersey Michelle.
Because in his original season (Marquesas) there was another person named Robert. He was called The General because of his tattoo.
Jeremy deep dive with Fishback next please!
Michelle’s social game is not her super power. Players really like her but not enough to play with her.
Seems like she made a mistake at F10 by not being more bold & telling Kim it was switched on Tyson so she could play her idol correctly..in that case IF she votes Sophie with them as well, Sophie goes home then & it’s THEIR move! .......
Game may open up quite a bit more after that (diminishing Tony/Sarah/Ben alliance options) especially w/ Tyson still floating around.
Poor Parvati! After swap being with four people with pre game alliance.
How much money did Michele get for getting third??
Rob and Stephen said it best......in any other type of season.....Winchele would win the game
Amanda is the first two time finalist
Sandra did that first.
@@davidnathanael9023 no, sandra did it in s20 amanda did it in s15 then in s16 as i remember
She's really likable. Maybe next time...
It's actually kind of Lame Parv was voted out due to a pre-game alliance. I respect Michelle games less tbh
Michelle should have won...everyone was against her...and she played a classy game...the deck was stacked against her...she can hold her head high!
Yea you trippin😂
LOL
She did win. She won third place
@@CosmicDreamz139 Couldn't have said it better myself.
Rob did you just say she was the first to go to the final three in two seasons if so your wrong about that Amanda did in season 15and16 Russell did in 19and20
She's the only person to make it to the end every time shes played without getting voted out. That's what he was trying to say.
Get Sophie on please
Michele is a great social player. I hope she stops seeing herself as a Parvati wannabe. She is better, never needing to resort to just flirting
Michelle is the new robbed goddess!
Robbed of second place?
????? Nope
she pretty 😊☺️
Hasn’t a lot of people made it to the end in 2 different seasons. Parvati, sandra, Boston rob, Amanda, tony, Russel. Idk who else but I think get more
Parvati, Sandra. Ben almost did it twice. Natalie doesn’t count since she was voted off originally
Chem Student true, I also forgot about Russel, even if he didn’t win the 2 times he’s played.
Boston Rob
Parvati
Tony
Sandra
Russel
Amanda
Natalie A
Michele
Is she the only player to reach the end in two different season? What about Amanda?
No. Rob messed up on what the actual accolade is. Michele is the only returning player to make it to final tribal council both seasons they played without getting voted out, quit, or medi-vaced.
Jenna Morasca, Michael Skupin, & Colton Cumbie all haven't been voted out in their 2 seasons as well but they all either quit or were medi-vaced from the game. Natalie is also the only other returning player to make it to final tribal council both times playing but of course she got voted out.
Amanda got voted out her 3rd season, as did Russell.
Michelle, Natalie, Amanda, Sandra, Russell, and Parvati are the only ones who have made it to the end two consecutive games in a row. Tony, Boston Bobby, have also made it to the end twice on separate games. Even though Natalie got voted out, she choose to stay at the Edge and made it back into the game and got the the end. Parvati got voted out the first time she played. Yul voted her out twice. Sandra is the only player who has won two consecutive games, and Tony has won two games. Amanda has played the most consecutive days in a row so far.
Rob's "Yuh" at the end of every guest's answers sound dismissive and like he didn't even listen to their answer at all
yuh
Some of this is just really poor perspective. Ethan won his season not because he played like Michele but because he was in the power structure for the entirety of the game and was co-dominant with Lex. Also, if Michele would have played like Tony on this season she would have won handily. A dominant game is dominant regardless of who plays it. Michele's WAW game was a complete disaster.
I like this gal, she is chill and entertaining on tv, but I’m really not a fan of her accent.
Sick and tired of this victim mentality these women keep using to excuse their losses saying women games are not respected if (insert excuse) what about Russell Hantz who played 2 flawless seasons where he completely controlled the game yet still lost why because he's a man who played hard and given to the women who did nothing.
He had no friends in the jury both his season. Yeah he found idols but that was pretty much it
Flawless? If you leave the season being despised by the jury both times you play, there’s obviously something wrong with your gameplay. Also Russell was actually loved by the fans when Samoa and Heroes vs Villains aired. But then you have messy villains Abi Maria and Kass despised by the fans even though they’re not a pos like Russell is.
Yeah not really liking the gender bias narrative. Between 19-25 you have 5/7 female winners. For years they've had the puzzles and endurance challenges to allow females that are less physical to win immunity. And not calling females by their last names is such a petty complaint that I don't even know where to start with it.
OMFG IT'S SLAYCELE!!!!!! 👸🏻 👑
