      He got red lighted for the 455, and no you can't even unrack half of that weight

      Tony Barfridge You’d snap in half just by touching that weight.

      he does that in every comp. Its bullshit imo

    There is Belkin missing more than a half of his attempts again. I understand that at the insane weights he is lifting every little mistake can mean a no rep, but seriously, his consistency is a joke. I haven’t seen him even come close to going 3 for 3.

    • @georgesmith3021

      It's the total that matters lol

      On the bench press he was very close to get the rep. But ja on the squat it’s insane. He looks like he is wounded on a leg.

    • @baronmunchausen645
      @baronmunchausen645 5 лет назад +1

      Matthew Kossolapov he never aims for 3/3. In his latest insta post he even said that he should’ve skipped his first squat attempt

      Hitting 3 for 3 and 9 for 9 in meets is fucking dumb. Insecure powerlifters who pick nice, secure attempts are the ones that started that crap

  • @SledgehammerEditing
    @SledgehammerEditing 5 лет назад +3

    Squat 1 wasnt depth, pisses me off how these meets let these guys off on name value alone.

      SledgehammerEditing lol definitely depth on that one just not ATG

    • @Jmack7861
      @Jmack7861 5 лет назад

      There’s a reason the side judges judge depth and not the head judge... because you can’t see depth from the front, so unless you were there or have another side view you can’t tell if he hit depth or not.

    • @Jmack7861
      @Jmack7861 5 лет назад

      Gore4ever FulciLives you might be lumping in geared lifting with raw w/ wraps. Some feds like spf do have notoriously bad judging but for the most part depth isn’t usually bad on wraps. IPF depth isn’t a good example to go by seeing as how they don’t even follow their own rule book and require lifters to go extra deep. “Convincingly deep” isn’t required just preferred but going just below parallel never gets white lights in the IPF

  • @jabberwock14
    @jabberwock14 5 лет назад +3

    This'll get me a lot of hate. But I think Yury is more of a rule bender than an actual competitive lifter.

    • @pupperfaust8547
      @pupperfaust8547 5 лет назад +5

      Competing as the lightest in an open weight class against 140kg+ lifters when his usual weight class is 100-110kg a few weeks after dislocating his hip isn’t rule bending. He has real heart to do that and come 3rd under those conditions

    Whats with that squat, he didnt even do a half squat, it was 1/3 squat haha

    • @SwizyInHD
      @SwizyInHD 5 лет назад +4

      he knew he wasn't going to get it, a lot of the time it's easier on your body to do a 1/3 squat rather than sink it and have to push up with the support of spotters.

    You can clearly tell he's trying to get away with every little thing he can to make his lifts not an much work. The too low bar position, the bent elbows, and does his DL even leave the floor? Lol.
