Regarding the shaver and bumps, that is very true! Especially on people of color. I find using a straight razor, going downward with the grain, gets it just as clean without the irritation.

After the open taper guideline I noticed a lot of barbers will move up to the 1 guard open for the next guideline, but I really like this way better (going to a 1 closed), I know at the end of the day it's the same thing being you will just go to the 1 open after, but I feel this way give me more control of the look of the fade

Is there a benefit to not putting your guidelines in around the whole head when you’re setting them in? It’s obviously not an issue for you but I feel like for me it would make it so much harder to produce an even cut...

could you do a low fade using the same steps ? i use the same steps and i have trouble keeping it low and or keeping the sides dark
You can. Just need to make your sections smaller however I like fading down on low fades so it doesn’t get pushed to high

quest808 I do ask, but it’s like sometimes it would bring the cut to a whole other level with it and they don’t want it and it irks me. especially for people with really this c-cups
