You can take it right to 12 while on necro, then u won’t brick the item, u just keep rerolling it. I did it this way and have 18 resolve and 30% barrier
Yoir guide is full holes bro... first: you dont have to roll +2 spiked armor, because the initial number doesnt matter, the increasted masterwork power does. Two: why would you switch to spiritborn afyer 8 upgrades?? Makes no sense, you're confusing people. You can take it sttaight to twelve, and then re roll... Also, if you grab a 2g or more item, you have 8 chances, and even if u fuck up 7 of them, you can still use the scroll on the item while keeping what you already got on it! Cheers!
Any reason why doing a 12/12 on necro is needed? The way I do this is just get 1-2 spiked armor and go back to SB and reroll from there or reset if needed.
@@Danny-zw7sw you want to try to hit it as many tomes as possible, but even if u hit it once, they will both be triple cotted at 12, so you will have a total of 8 crits on that item vs 3(normal masterworking). I have a chest with 2 of the regular affixes blue (single critted) and two of the tempered are orange (ttipple crited) so you get 8 crits either way.
i guess if someone goes through all that is neccesary steps to get this, they deserve those stats , im sure are hell wont try it, since i already did pit 150 with out max resolve stacks
This has been widely known for weeks. I was able to clear a 150 in about 5 minutes WITHOUT doing this and I don't have perfect gear / master working. Also, the top player on the leaderboard with the first sub 2 min 150 clear is NOT doing this either, BUT, he has insane gear. You don't need perfect gear to get decent clear times. GG
@@ProPain007 Nah - When I posted that message the top clear was Makuna's friend, and he did NOT use the temper exploit. Rob posted a video covering it two weeks ago - Pit 150 in under 2 minutes. That's what I was citing in my previous post.

Every player in the top 20 with the exception of the player from Japan is using the exploit. This is why they dont show the gear. So the only way to tell is by the displayed stacks. Even Resistance said himself in a previous video that 26 stacks means you’re using the exploit.
Now when you move the item from the necro to your other character, there is a red X on the item, and it does NOT let you re-temper it anymore. They've patched this.

does this only work with resolve and barrier? or can i use it on other affixes?
Does double temper work with any affixes? Like dodge for example
probably yes but there is no affix other than +Spiked Armor so there is no way to have 2xdodge
Are these profane cage and thorn army recipes difficult to get? I don't have a necro and would have to create one just for this
its annoying can take you some hours, can start collecting whispers and opening them on necro if you want to do it passive but sitll takes some time

He is using the temper exploit. With a mix of resilience and resolve. = 26 stacks shown on his screen.
