Best metal band in the world! Welcome to the Wolfpack! I have never in my life seen a more talented band. They're my absolute favorite. They cover a range of metal, too. 60 or so songs of absolute heaven. They don't have a bad song. As good as they are in studio and in their MVs, they are better live. I don't even know what to recommend, because it is all good. You could choose anything and hit on a winner, but they do have a couple that I'd call masterpieces for sure. I wonder how many other people see the thumbnail or the band's photo and dismiss them without ever hearing a single note? It happens far too often IMO. This band is phenomenal and deserves so much more attention than they are getting.
Welcome to the Wolfpack ! Haruna the drummer is an absolute machine. Midori (stage right) melt your face solos. Miyako (stage left) composes a lot of the music and is also a ridiculous pianist (see Swan Song w/ Chopin intro). Miho (bass, now replaced by Fami) unstoppable rhythm seciton. Asami, vocalist has an R&B background, and yes, is singing in English (admittedly her Japanese accent does make it a bit difficult to understand at times). Also, silly fun fact, but none of them top 5'2" tall (I think).

"Dude, they're good." 🤣 Their the best F metal band today and their guitar duo are off the talent chart. Keep watching and you'll see. The combined talent in this one band is insane. Asami's clean vocals and belts are the best in the genre; you won't get any harsh vocals, in case you're looking for them. And as someone commented, they are tiny in stature yet GIANTS in ability and sound they bring. They play like this 2hrs straight, Haruna (drums) is a beast at 4' 9", think about that for a second, 4' 9"! Miyako (dark-haired guitarist) nearly 5mos pregnant in this show. And they do it all - power, thrash, prog, and ballads. Again, the talent is ridiculous and wait till you see Miyako on the piano...a F virtuoso. Great reaction. 🤘

Congratulations, you just found the best new metal band to come along in decades- not just the best female metal band! In their first five years of existence, they put themselves on par with the greatest bands of metal’s golden age. Other reviewers have described them as alien superheroes disguised as young women, angels, princesses of metal, and angry bridesmaids. They recently went on a year-and-a half hiatus while they searched for a new bassist. They announced the new bassist in October 2022 (see below) and dropped their first new song on December 22. Their new album, “Judgement Day”, was released two months later. Some background: They were formed in 2016 from the remnants of a legendary all-girl Japanese metal band called Destrose (yes, all-girl metal has been a thing in Japan since at least 1981). Miho (bass, chief headbanger and founder of the band) had a vision of a new band in the style of the great European bands of the golden age of metal. She recruited her former bandmate Haruna (drums, 4'9" “pocket nuclear reactor”); they needed two world-class guitarists, and so they went and found Midori and Miyako, who were with other groups. The four of them then found Asami, the singer, who was doing soul and blues at the time (she was also trained in ballet). Miyako has composed a little more than half of their music, with Miho composing a lot of their thrashier songs in collaboration with Mao, the lead composer of another band called Lightbringer. Midori has also been getting into the act, and they regularly perform a song written by Haruna as well. Asami writes most of the lyrics and is also getting involved in composing. In mid-2021, Miho left the band she had founded, for personal reasons. They went on hiatus while they searched for a new bassist, and during that time, two of them had babies, even as the band were writing and rehearsing their new album. They recently announced the new bassist, Fami, who is a young phenom and herself a composer and multi-instrumentalist. They toured with Dragonforce in 2019, and word from those in attendance was that next time around, it will be the ladies headlining. They do everything from soulful power ballads to heavy thrash. Almost every song includes face-melting solos by Miyako and Midori. The two guitarists are quite different in style and tone. Midori (blonde ponytail) is the extrovert and speed demon; Miyako is the introvert, with the more soulful feel (though she can also shred like crazy). Midori uses a cleaner tone, Miyako uses more distortion, pinch harmonics and pedal effects. The contrast makes their duets rich and dynamic. I'm old enough to have been around before the term heavy metal was coined I've heard the majority of them coming up...this band has obvious talent and puts on an amazing performance i haven't listened to any band that gave me that "wow" factor in decades these women have done that more than once...i'm definitely a Wolfpack member.

Best thing to happen to Metal in decades. Petite women who wear their femininity proudly and in gowns and high heels destroy you LIVE. Here in a COVID venue ( 50% capacity, social distancing and no yelling or singing just clapping allowed) they still brought the house down for 2 hours. The dark hair guitarist, Miyako/Dean was 3/4 months pregnant here and still went full tilt for the 2 hour set. Pick anything from these ladies LIVE and you will never be disappointed. The vocalist sings in English albeit with a Japanese accent, not bad for a ballet dancer from a R&B/Jazz/Soul background, who never sang Metal till she joined the band which was created in 2016 by Miho/bassist. I'm not attracted to black leather and studs, long hair and beards, angry faces. The music of Lovebites is definitely Heavy Metal, but their looks and lyrics are far from the stereotypes. A French metal mag interviewed Asami (singer) about the dresses. She said, "We're girls, we don't want to dress like boys. Also the white makes it easier to see us on stage because we are all small." And the ARE small. Asami and Haruna 9Drums) are both 4'9". Midori (blond guitarist) and Miho (bass, no longer with the band) are both 4' 10". Miyako (other guitarist and main song writer) is 5' 2" as is their new bassist Fami. Yes, they sing in English. Check out their sing, Break The Wall. They sound like Slayer in that one.
As you've seen, LOVEBITES is one of the great bands in the prodigious rock and metal scene of Japan. They mainly do traditional forms of metal - thrash and power especially - but have a handful of ballads and metal songs that border on hard rock. There are a few outlier songs, but for the most part their songs follow traditional song structures; their songs are just performed at a high level.

Welcome to the Wolfpack! (the name for the Lovebites fans :D) - Glad to see you fully enjoying the best metal band on the planet. It's great to see more people discovering our ladies! I encourage you to check out some of their live performances too - in my decades of metal fandom, I've never heard cleaner sound out of a band live. Also, they while they usually wear the white gowns that are their usual "Battle Uniforms", one of their newest songs "Stand and Deliver" is one of the few MVs they have done in casual clothes. Some data on the band: The lead singer (Asami) is the group goofball, and is known as "The One and Only Voice" - and metal is a new genre for her vocally. She does a lot of writing, also. Haruna is the drummer - called "The Little Engine" - because she just crushes the drum parts and rhythm section on every song, and she is completely indefatiguable! Miyako is our right side guitarist who also does all the background synth and piano work. In addition, she also writes and does everything with that calm, cool professionalism. :) She is called "The Golden Touch" for a reason - everything she touches turns gold. Midori is the blonde guitarist with the amazing hair on the left side, and she is "The Crazy Shredder" - because, well, it is what it says. She's insanely good and aggressive shredder. She also performs in bodybuilding competitions. :) On bass you have Miho - one of the founders of the band (she formed the band with Haruna) - a really good bassist who stepped down from her role just a couple years ago - if you check out their latest album, you will meet their current bass player, the amazingly talented Fami - who doesn't have a nickname yet - but she really has injected even more energy and passion into the group. LB is, in my humble opinion, the gold standard of metal music today. As you heard, their talent is off the charts insane. As you dive deeper into their music, you will find there are many levels to their sound. You will hear styles from heavy to power to thrash metal and everything in between. I've been a fan for about 3 years now and I cannot get enough of them.
You leave Lars alone. LOL. You know the drummer is about 4'9" yes, they are singing in English. It's just her accent is tough to understand. Their last album that came out a few months ago, I heard she worked on that and she is easier to understand on it. Also, some other of the earlier stuff you can understand her better.

Holy cow.....Haruna it's a crazy drum machine with incredible skills to know how to keep and change the ritm but still alltime driving has metronome. In case it hasn't been mentioned, LOVEBITES was awarded Metal Hammer's "Best New Band" Golden Gods of Heavy Metal trophy (no "female" qualifier, among ALL new Metal Bands worldwide) in 2018 just prior to their performances at Wacken Open Air & Bloodstock Open Air festivals. At Bloodstock, they were chosen from all bands in attendance to fill the main-stage spot left open by Suicidal Tendencies due to late plane arrival. This 'last minute' opportunity unfortunately resulted in less than ideal 'FOH & monitor-mix' & camera work, but their performance is excellent. No bad song in their arsenal of songs. This concert had COVID restriction on the crowd, but I think the band's stage performance was better than 2020. The 2020 Concert. Five of a Kind, the crowd was into it so the whole vibe was great. The new album, Judgement Day, with the new Bassist is even better in my opinion. There is a song for everyone on that album. They decided to wear white as they all petite ladies. White reflects light making them standout on the normally dark metal stage. Midori, ponytail, began guitar lessons when she was 20 yo, Miyako, black hair, starting piano at 3 yo, and picking up the guitar at 18 yo to play metal music. Miyako is self taught!! Yes Asami is singing in English, but with a Japanese accent! Asami is the primary lyricist, so she singing her own words. There are 200+ Rock/Metal bands in Japan with about half all female. You got some catching up to do.

Best metal band in the world! Welcome to the Wolfpack! I have never in my life seen a more talented band. They're my absolute favorite. They cover a range of metal, too. 60 or so songs of absolute heaven. They don't have a bad song. As good as they are in studio and in their MVs, they are better live. I don't even know what to recommend, because it is all good. You could choose anything and hit on a winner, but they do have a couple that I'd call masterpieces for sure. I will suggest a few, but you'll find a bunch in the comments too. Probably all different recommendations, only because it is all awesome. Welcome to the Wolfpack ! Haruna the drummer is an absolute machine. Midori (stage right) melt your face solos. Miyako (stage left) composes a lot of the music and is also a ridiculous pianist (see Swan Song w/ Chopin intro). Miho (bass, now replaced by Fami) unstoppable rhythm seciton. Asami, vocalist has an R&B background, and yes, is singing in English (admittedly her Japanese accent does make it a bit difficult to understand at times). Also, silly fun fact, but none of them top 5'2" tall (I think).

"Dude, they're good." 🤣 Their the best F metal band today and their guitar duo are off the talent chart. Keep watching and you'll see. The combined talent in this one band is insane. Asami's clean vocals and belts are the best in the genre; you won't get any harsh vocals, in case you're looking for them. And as someone commented, they are tiny in stature yet GIANTS in ability and sound they bring. They play like this 2hrs straight, Haruna (drums) is a beast at 4' 9", think about that for a second, 4' 9"! Miyako (dark-haired guitarist) nearly 5mos pregnant in this show. And they do it all - power, thrash, prog, and ballads. Again, the talent is ridiculous and wait till you see Miyako on the piano...a F virtuoso. Great reaction. 🤘

Congratulations, you just found the best new metal band to come along in decades- not just the best female metal band!
In their first five years of existence, they put themselves on par with the greatest bands of metal’s golden age. Other reviewers have described them as alien superheroes disguised as young women, angels, princesses of metal, and angry bridesmaids. They recently went on a year-and-a half hiatus while they searched for a new bassist. They announced the new bassist in October 2022 (see below) and dropped their first new song on December 22. Their new album, “Judgement Day”, was released two months later. Some background:
They were formed in 2016 from the remnants of a legendary all-girl Japanese metal band called Destrose (yes, all-girl metal has been a thing in Japan since at least 1981). Miho (bass, chief headbanger and founder of the band) had a vision of a new band in the style of the great European bands of the golden age of metal. She recruited her former bandmate Haruna (drums, 4'9" “pocket nuclear reactor”); they needed two world-class guitarists, and so they went and found Midori and Miyako, who were with other groups. The four of them then found Asami, the singer, who was doing soul and blues at the time (she was also trained in ballet).
Miyako has composed a little more than half of their music, with Miho composing a lot of their thrashier songs in collaboration with Mao, the lead composer of another band called Lightbringer. Midori has also been getting into the act, and they regularly perform a song written by Haruna as well. Asami writes most of the lyrics and is also getting involved in composing.
In mid-2021, Miho left the band she had founded, for personal reasons. They went on hiatus while they searched for a new bassist, and during that time, two of them had babies, even as the band were writing and rehearsing their new album. They recently announced the new bassist, Fami, who is a young phenom and herself a composer and multi-instrumentalist. The instrumentalists studied all the great historical metal bands going back to Purple and Sabbath, through Maiden, Priest, Metallica, Helloween, Slayer etc. They have incorporated some of the best of each of those bands into their arsenal, and have created a sound that is fresh and cutting edge while paying tribute to the old masters. They toured with Dragonforce in 2019, and word from those in attendance was that next time around, it will be the ladies headlining.
They do everything from soulful power ballads to heavy thrash. Almost every song includes face-melting solos by Miyako and Midori. The two guitarists are quite different in style and tone. Midori (blonde ponytail) is the extrovert and speed demon; Miyako is the introvert, with the more soulful feel (though she can also shred like crazy). Midori uses a cleaner tone, Miyako uses more distortion, pinch harmonics and pedal effects. The contrast makes their duets rich and dynamic. It doesn’t hurt that either one can smoke most of the shredders in the classic metal bands. As another reviewer said, "It seems criminal these two are allowed to be in the same band."

Gratulation to find this band, the best in Rock World. They don´t play Trash/Heavy Metal Hard Rock .... They include all genres in one song and they´re incredible good, in what they´re doing. It´s not a good girl band, it´s a great Heavy Metal band with all genres. Listen to songs like Frozen Serenade, Swan Song, Judgement Day, Soldier stand solitarily. It does´nt matter, which song ..... they are great
Best thing to happen to Metal in decades. Petite women who wear their femininity proudly and in gowns and high heels destroy you LIVE. Here in a COVID venue ( 50% capacity, social distancing and no yelling or singing just clapping allowed) they still brought the house down for 2 hours. The dark hair guitarist, Miyako/Dean was 3/4 months pregnant here and still went full tilt for the 2 hour set. Pick anything from these ladies LIVE and you will never be disappointed. The vocalist sings in English albeit with a Japanese accent, not bad for a ballet dancer from a R&B/Jazz/Soul background, who never sang Metal till she joined the band which was created in 2016 by Miho/bassist. Welcome to the Wolfpack (fan base).

They're definitely one of my favorite metal bands. I love the contrast of such fast, heavy music being played by disney princesses. When Destinies Align is another favorite song of theirs I love.

Lovebites has been around since 2016, and the women became more famous worldwide after performing at several major festivals, mainly in Europe, starting in 2018.

In 2020, their career was abruptly interrupted by Corona. But they masterfully overcame the crisis, got married and had babies. In 2021 the founder Miho left the band for personal reasons and it went into a hiatus which lasted until the end of 2022. In the fall of 2022 they found a young fantastic bass player and in 2023 they released a new LP. The new LP reached the 5th place in the Japanese charts. Japan is the 2nd largest music market in the world and it is very rare that in these times a rock band comes so far forward.

A French metal mag interviewed Asami (singer) about the dresses. She said, "We're girls, we don't want to dress like boys. Also the white makes it easier to see us on stage because we are all small." And the ARE small. Asami and Haruna 9Drums) are both 4'9". Midori (blond guitarist) and Miho (bass, no longer with the band) are both 4' 10". Miyako (other guitarist and main song writer) is 5' 2" as is their new bassist Fami.
Yes, they sing in English. Check out their sing, Break The Wall. They sound like Slayer in that one.
As you've seen, LOVEBITES is one of the great bands in the prodigious rock and metal scene of Japan. They mainly do traditional forms of metal - thrash and power especially - but have a handful of ballads and metal songs that border on hard rock. There are a few outlier songs, but for the most part their songs follow traditional song structures; their songs are just performed at a high level.

Welcome to the Wolfpack! (the name for the Lovebites fans :D) - Glad to see you fully enjoying the best metal band on the planet. It's great to see more people discovering our ladies! I encourage you to check out some of their live performances too - in my decades of metal fandom, I've never heard cleaner sound out of a band live. Also, they while they usually wear the white gowns that are their usual "Battle Uniforms", one of their newest songs "Stand and Deliver" is one of the few MVs they have done in casual clothes.
Some data on the band:
The lead singer (Asami) is the group goofball, and is known as "The One and Only Voice" - and metal is a new genre for her vocally. She does a lot of writing, also.
Haruna is the drummer - called "The Little Engine" - because she just crushes the drum parts and rhythm section on every song, and she is completely indefatiguable!
Miyako is our right side guitarist who also does all the background synth and piano work. In addition, she also writes and does everything with that calm, cool professionalism. :) She is called "The Golden Touch" for a reason - everything she touches turns gold.
Midori is the blonde guitarist with the amazing hair on the left side, and she is "The Crazy Shredder" - because, well, it is what it says. She's insanely good and aggressive shredder. She also performs in bodybuilding competitions. :)
On bass you have Miho - one of the founders of the band (she formed the band with Haruna) - a really good bassist who stepped down from her role just a couple years ago - if you check out their latest album, you will meet their current bass player, the amazingly talented Fami - who doesn't have a nickname yet - but she really has injected even more energy and passion into the group.
Fun fact: Fami is the tallest member of the band, at 5'2" tall. :)

LOVEBITES was formed in 2016 by Miho(Ba) and Haruna(Dr), members of the band "DESTROSE", which went on hiatus in 2015.
The girls made their major label debut in 2017 (March 24) with "THE LOVEBITES EP".
On 18 June 2018, LOVEBITES won 'BEST NEW BAND' at the Metal Hummer Golden Gods 2018 awards organised by the British metal magazine METAL HUMMER.
On 4 August, LOVEBITES performed on the W.E.T stage at WACKEN OPEN AIR 2018, one of the world's largest annual metal festivals in Germany, with the 10,000 capacity venue almost full.
"Bloodstack open air 2018(Aug. 10)" also participated.
On August 20,2018, LOVEBITES announced that it has partnered with X-ray Touring, one of the largest players in the UK booking agent industry.
LOVEBITES toured the Netherlands, Germany, France and UK from November 13-21, 2018.
Asami (Vo) of LOVEBITES appeared as a guest on stage at Halestorm "Download Japan 2019(March 21)", singing alongside "Lzzy" Hale on Halestorm's 'Love Bites', which gave the band their name.
I participated in "dowload Festival 2019(June 15)".
And Asami of LOVEBITES appeared as a guest on stage at Halestorm Download Festival UK 2019, singing alongside "Lzzy" Hale on Halestorm's "Love Bites" again after Japan.

LB is, in my humble opinion, the gold standard of metal music today. As you heard, their talent is off the charts insane. As you dive deeper into their music, you will find there are many levels to their sound. You will hear styles from heavy to power to thrash metal and everything in between. I've been a fan for about 3 years now and I cannot get enough of them.
You leave Lars alone. LOL. You know the drummer is about 4'9" yes, they are singing in English. It's just her accent is tough to understand. Their last album that came out a few months ago, I heard she worked on that and she is easier to understand on it. Also, some other of the earlier stuff you can understand her better.

In case it hasn't been mentioned, LOVEBITES was awarded Metal Hammer's "Best New Band" Golden Gods of Heavy Metal trophy (no "female" qualifier, among ALL new Metal Bands worldwide) in 2018 just prior to their performances at Wacken Open Air & Bloodstock Open Air festivals.
At Bloodstock, they were chosen from all bands in attendance to fill the main-stage spot left open by Suicidal Tendencies due to late plane arrival. This 'last minute' opportunity unfortunately resulted in less than ideal 'FOH & monitor-mix' & camera work, but their performance is excellent. An example of how they perform under 'worst conditions'.

No bad song in their arsenal of songs. This concert had COVID restriction on the crowd, but I think the band's stage performance was better than 2020. The 2020 Concert. Five of a Kind, the crowd was into it so the whole vibe was great. The new album, Judgement Day, with the new Bassist is even better in my opinion. There is a song for everyone on that album. Can't wait for you to do more reaction to discover their above the world talent.

Midori, ponytail, began guitar lessons when she was 20 yo, Miyako, black hair, starting piano at 3 yo, and picking up the guitar at 18 yo to play metal music. Miyako is self taught!!
