You do not mention if the keywords found by Excire Foto are ultimately added into the metadata of each picture wherever it is stored? Thus, are they permanently fixed to the photos that can be transferred with their metadata, or/and once uploaded into Lightroom from the SD card, will the keywords be automatically copied in the keywords data of Lightroom for each specific photo? Looking forward to receiving some clarification.
Freddy2noel: I'm looking for the same answer. This from the Excire Manual: Load metadata: Loads the corresponding metadata (ratings, color label and keywords) for the selected photos from the photo file or the corresponding XMP file. Store metadata: Saves the corresponding metadata (ratings, color label and keywords) for the selected photos in the photo file or the corresponding XMP file. Export: Function for exporting selected photos. Further options can be set in the corresponding dialog. The Store metadata functions disabled on the trial version.
@@allencarroll6304 Thank you, Allen, for the clarifications and the manual. I will look into it before making a decision. Meanwhile, as I already use Excire Search Pro with Lightroom, I think that I may not need Excire Foto, assuming that both software do exactly the same thing.
@@Excire That is too bad. If I were to use Excire, could it keyword photos while they are still on my SD card in a way that would keep those keywords on the photos when I save them to Photos?
@@Excire If I were to keyword pictures using Excire on my SSD and then transfer those images to the "Photos" MacOS App would the images remain keyworded and searchable in photos Search?
How do you delete or remove a picture or group of pictures from Excire, an action of vital importance in cleaning up the images selected to view? I'm not joking, and this is terribly important, as the clear button does nothing to remove from view unwanted images in Excire. Please help me!
So getting started with a large volume of photos, is it better to import the files first then analyse them after.

Does Excire function as an extension with Photos?
Apple Photos has its own database, while Excire reads photos from the regular harddisk/ folder structure. So unfortunately, no.
