- Diamond Firetail Finch has a defect in his spine since he was a child. He can't stand for a long time, he can't fly, he can drink water by himself, but he can't feed himself, so he can only rely on artificial feeding. I will take care of him forever, please rest assured.

They're not holes, they're colored spots. And we're not exactly sure, but best guess is that they're there so if a cuckoo replaces a finch egg with its own, the finch parents can recognize the impostor chick early and throw it out of the nest
