This video fits perfectly with the lyric, and keep passing the years and this world remains the same has not changed. We have not learned to live in harmony.
One of the most touching moments, from a must see movie. One of the best movies of all time!! Funny that we never seem to learn from our mistakes and today we seem to be reliving history from the past. What it will take for humanity to wake up an stop all this senseless violence, wars, racism and more insanity? How many more must die, before we get sick at how much blood is flowing throughout the land? Why can't humanity understand that ALL YOU NEED IS LOVE? How can something so simple, end up being so damn complicated? IF YOU HAVE NOT SEEN THIS FILM. GO SEE IT. THE MUSIC AND THE MESSAGE OF THE BEATLES ARE MUCH BIGGER THAN JUST A TEN YEAR PERIOD!!! I turn on the news and frankly it saddens me to no end. Thankfully we occasionally get some good news.
+ShiningGirl - Of Sounds and Visions I know, I tried so hard but I couldn't stop crying at this part, it just shows how bad but good mankind can be... This movie was truly touching.
That is what was amazing about the Beatles - they were not just a rock band (and WHAT a band), but they wrote timeless songless, some of them masterpieces.
Over 52 years since the Beatles wrote this song, and over 10 years later after the movie Across the Universe came out, this song still has so much relevance. This really brings tears to my eyes, I am trying to find lyrics and guitar chords for this version, can someone help me?
In honor of John Lennon and the Beatles, I was so moved by the original song that everytime I hear it I tear up immediately. But this version takes it to a whole new level where it tugs more on heart strings even more to remind us will still gotta bring peace among ourselves no matter what the circumstances are. The video is more moving than the song.
The most stirring rendition of this song I've ever heard. Even still, I am drawn to tears every time I hear it. Paul wrote the song because of a dream he had of his mother when he was troubled and he dreamt his mother told him to Let It Be. This Let It Be scene from the film Across the Universe was released in 2007, 16 years ago. I haven't seen this scene in more than a decade. Now in 2023 at 4:30 in the morning I wake up from dreaming this scene. Being from Detroit I remember the '67 riots and having lived through the heartbreak of Vietnam I remember that as well. The sadness and the madness of so many ill-informed people believing in and following innumerable false claims is very much like the madness that moved Europe into war in the 1930s. How do you fight ignorance and not be led astray by people who know they can control you? Is there an alternative to Let It Be where level-headed, intelligent people prevail?
I have to say this: The song alone is the most powerful song in the world, but the movie does so much more The visuals added to the movie just make it even more powerful Whoever directed the visuals, you are brilliant Long live EVERYONE
Usually I don't cry because of music but for some reason, this is the first time I've ever cried.. I've seen the movie before but it didn't really affect me as much as it does just now... It's so beautiful..
I'm a teen, and I love the beatles.. I watched every concert and everything.. They are awesome Your never to young to listen to the beatles.. I wish I was around when they first came out.
I love this song with all of my heart, it's the perfect message of having spirit even when it's hard and it seems like there's no hope. Always brings me to tears..
I will never forget back in school someone brought this video and song as homework in music class Went back home, looked up this video and been in love ever since then
I felt as if the movie was uneven, but this scene and the "I Want You/She's So Heavy" scene... oh my god. What I love is the way they add so much to songs that already seemed perfect.
This Version was so well done, and it always makes me Cry 😥 Let it be has never been more relevant than in today's turbulent times, and the Grief hits harder
Her voice wraps me in a womb of perfection and pure hope. This is a beautiful song of tribute to our Blessed Mother. Mary, the mother of Jesus, the mother of all of us....
This movie showed true human feeling in it, I love it for many reasons but this is one of them, it made us feel sad, happy, exited, laughter, humility, mourning, and most of all hope, hope that our world never goes back, only forward.
Amazing , Carol if you have only done one thing in your life to reach out to the world this is it ! How I hope I can be a part of something so powerful like this to leave as a mark in my life , You have an amazing gift thank you ....
I love the Beatles! I was only 13 when they hit the scene and felt the thrill of it all; however,I agree with you! This movie just made me melt from beginning to end! To hear females sing Beatles songs like this just touched my heart so deeply; they all sang so perfectly! The main actress is no less then incredible! The main male singer actor made me melt every time I looked at him and what an amazing voice he has too! The whole cast was great and the story line couldn't have been any better.
When the negative cannot be kept at bay and away, compensated by our positive being, it needs to be integrated inside ourselves, pacified and neutralized. This is the way of Duality and the Matrix...Let it be... this is the way of integration of the negative and transmutation of the negative into a positive lesson...by releasing it to God when it is beyond us...through the form of evoking Mary and Jesus, singing and Praying. God be with us all. The world is changing inside us. Be the Peace and in Peace.
When I received the news that my grandfather died, I was watching this part of the movie. I cried through all the song. It was such a sad but comforting moment. This song will never be JUST "Let It Be".............but it will be, "Rest In Peace my Dear and Beloved Grandpa." Now, every time I hear it, it comforts my soul that I will see him one day soon...............very soon. Damian Piza Beltran (December 1, 1917 - October 17, 2009)

The little guy's voice is AMAZING!! The black lady's voice is AWESOME! This song is THE BEST😂 And don't tell me that this is not true because this is the best song in this world
this song has so much meaning, every time i hear it, it makes me cry. I have this movie and when they were rehearsing it the lady was crying. It's a great part and a sad one in the movie.
It’s powerful because it’s real. This is a REAL experience still felt by many even in 2019. Far too many are killed too young by the actions of our country.
We was watching this today in school (a white school im black) and this guy named Brian said, "this is amazing." And he's white like how could you say that?? So i said, "Those are us black peoples ancestors dying." He said, "I dont care." It made me cry because if yall white people was going through slavery and i said that how would that make yall feel???. Mad right!!? Its so sad how people in this world care like some others do.....
The woman leading the chorus has the most beautiful voice
Elizabeth Carol Woods
I agree! God bless her!
I agree too.
Yesss
Incredible clarity and power
Probably the best representation of this song , gives me chills . Paul , ringo, George, and John would be proud. God bless you all
Whos Richard?
Richard Starkey. Ringo Starr's real name.
God bless you Madison Ossa! I love you!
I feel like the lady singing in the funeral snatched my soul. This is so beautiful.
She has the voice of an angel
Over 10 years later, and it can’t be more relevant.
Even more relevant now
Try again. 2020 called.
This video fits perfectly with the lyric, and keep passing the years and this world remains the same has not changed. We have not learned to live in harmony.
Excuse me, I've... got something in my eye....
thats called the feels bro!
Me too!
Ya tears
I cry every single time I watch this scene. The lead vocalist has such a powerful voice along with the images
Torn once again between wanting to hear this beautiful recording and not wanting to cry over the painful history of our nation. Music wins every time.

How in the world can someone not crying watching this
+ShiningGirl being me
+Ley Souza Tell me more, how is it..."living" without a heart or a soul?
Linespezial It's kinda easy, i don't care about anything that's not me or my family
+ShiningGirl - Of Sounds and Visions I know, I tried so hard but I couldn't stop crying at this part, it just shows how bad but good mankind can be... This movie was truly touching.
+Ley Souza Eres una persona carente de empatía... felicidades ;-)
You hear the life experience in her voice. Hope and despair mixed together..
Carol Woods' voice is proof there is a God.
When she says " I wake up to the sound of music" (at 2:36) it makes me want to sing my little heart out!!❤️🎤❤️🎤❤️
Yes!!! This is my favorite moment from the song.
Oml😢😢😢
That comment made me 😊
That is what was amazing about the Beatles - they were not just a rock band (and WHAT a band), but they wrote timeless songless, some of them masterpieces.
This is the hardest part for any parent because your child isn't supposed to go before you.
Over 52 years since the Beatles wrote this song, and over 10 years later after the movie Across the Universe came out, this song still has so much relevance. This really brings tears to my eyes, I am trying to find lyrics and guitar chords for this version, can someone help me?
I lived outside of Detroit when these riots happened. To this day , it still truly breaks my heart. Her voice is very healing.
She did amazing. I love it. her audition touched a lot of people. It's real. she puts her whole heart into singing.
I actually thought the young man who opens the song was the most powerful voice in this video. Simple and raw and perfect
This is one of those moments in a movie that should have gone viral. This is extremely well done.
That voice of the female singer just pierces to my core. Her voice really makes the song more powerful than it already is. Beautifully done
In honor of John Lennon and the Beatles, I was so moved by the original song that everytime I hear it I tear up immediately. Written by Paul, tho.

This rendition always gives me goosebumps and makes me want to cry.
I want this song played at my funeral, complete with gospel choir.
2017 still watching this
Same.
Same💖
Same here. :')
I normally just watch the movie
Master Dope watching it now
The best rendition of this classic ! Touch the heart ! MV
I have to say this:
The song alone is the most powerful song in the world, but the movie does so much more
The visuals added to the movie just make it even more powerful
Whoever directed the visuals, you are brilliant
Long live EVERYONE

THIS IS THE MOST BEAUTIFUL VERSION I HAVE EVER HEARD
Such a powerfull version of this song. What a great movie. What great songs.
Love the Beatles.
This song needs to be in everyone's recommendation now.
One of my deepest dreams is to be in a place where people sing like that woman, it just sounds like heaven!.
Fantastic version. Hi from Italy.
Hi Marida from the U.S I've watched this movie three times.Great soundtrack. Just thought I'd say hi back to you. Peace.
Amazing song. And performed so beautifully. It has made me cry every time I've watched it.
I cry every time I see this, and I've seen it a million times. :'( This is so beautiful.
The twist between the two story lines is just phenomenal
I love this song with all of my heart, it's the perfect message of having spirit even when it's hard and it seems like there's no hope. Always brings me to tears..
2 tragic moments in history and somehow u miss it for the singer
We played this at my dad's funeral now i can't watch this without crying....
I will never forget back in school someone brought this video and song as homework in music class
Went back home, looked up this video and been in love ever since then
I cry every time I see this scene. So powerful and the juxtaposition of both tragedies during those times. Damn, it gets me every time I see it.
I felt as if the movie was uneven, but this scene and the "I Want You/She's So Heavy" scene... oh my god. What I love is the way they add so much to songs that already seemed perfect.
I really liked "Happiness is a Warm Gun" was very well made and executed.
It hurts to see how accurate this video portrays things from decades ago that still reflect today's issues in 2020.
Agreed. It shatters my heart
This Version was so well done, and it always makes me Cry 😥
Let it be has never been more relevant than in today's turbulent times, and the Grief hits harder
So appropriate for this current summer, 2016. #AltonSterling. #PhilandoCastile. #Dallas. #Baton Rouge
Perrin1812 rip
I would love to share the video but in facebook format I don't even how the format calls. Beautiful message clip.
There was a shooting at Baton Rouge right ?
Most accurate about today’s society- it always breaks my heart to see this scene-tragically beautiful
The lyrics of this song is truly ingeniously good! One of my favorites. This scene is sad and beautiful too and it's OK to cry, it means you're human.
man this video, song, scene, actors is just epic. And that kid singing at the beginning, wow what a voice
probably the most beautiful song from the whole movie
This video is 11 years, but my heart still loves this version of the song. (Hi, from Thailand)
Still gives me epic chills
For years I sit trying to find out the name of this movie and etc....today. today. 10-2019 I found it. Woooooo hoooooooo. Love everything about it
Listening on Jan 6th, 2021 watching the US Capitol building be taken over.
Her voice wraps me in a womb of perfection and pure hope. This is a beautiful song of tribute to our Blessed Mother. Mary, the mother of Jesus, the mother of all of us....
It was a tribute to Paul McCartney's mother Mary McCartney who appeared in his dreams and said "Let it be"
Got so emotional watching this..
This movie showed true human feeling in it, I love it for many reasons but this is one of them, it made us feel sad, happy, exited, laughter, humility, mourning, and most of all hope, hope that our world never goes back, only forward.
this song is so emotional before my grandma die she sing this song to all of her grandchildren good job love this song
This particular scene is quite sad but that Gosple groove is really touching--she really put it down with feeling!!
Almost 50 years and aint shit changed
Amazing , Carol if you have only done one thing in your life to reach out to the world this is it ! How I hope I can be a part of something so powerful like this to leave as a mark in my life , You have an amazing gift thank you ....

So powerful and amazing. I was watching their grammy performance from 2008 and was led back to this video. Gets me everytime.
If that were my son Id sing sooo hard ... brought me to tears
This is probably my favorite scene from any movie I've ever watched.
Esta cancion conecta muchos sentimientos... Y el cover es de los mejores...!!! Gracias por el video...
What a song! Beautiful.
We need The Beatles now more than ever
So Emotional. Brings a tear to a grown mans eyes.

The scene where the mother is holding the flag to her chest just breaks my heart
It's not really just the song, It's the song plus the video that gets me.
This video makes me cry from the very beginning to the very end.
I usually forget that this is a Beatles song. That to me is what proves that something is an amazing cover. When there is no need to compare the two.
When I received the news that my grandfather died, I was watching this part of the movie. I cried through all the song. It was such a sad but comforting moment.

let it be
فاليكن
When I find myself in times of trouble, Mother Mary comes to me
Speaking words of wisdom, let it be
And in my hour of darkness she is standing right in front of me
Speaking words of wisdom, let it be
Let it be, let it be, let it be, let it be
Whisper words of wisdom, let it be
And when the broken hearted people living in the world agree
There will be an answer, let it be
For though they may be parted, there is still a chance that they will see
There will be an answer, let it be
Let it be, let it be, let it be, let it be
There will be an answer, let it be
Let it be, let it be, let it be, let it be
Whisper words of wisdom, let it be
Let it be, let it be, let it be, let it be
Whisper words of wisdom, let it be
And when the night is cloudy there is still a light that shines on me
Shine until tomorrow, let it be
I wake up to the sound of music, Mother Mary comes to me
Speaking words of wisdom, let it be
Let it be, let it be, let it be, yeah, let it be
There will be an answer, let it be
Let it be, let it be, let it be, yeah, let it be
Whisper words of wisdom, let it be
