Incredibly beautiful. I could watch this over many times. You almost got me thinking of shooting weddings... almost.
I have my own stories to tell and the way you have used both video and photography with this story is as close as I’ve come to seeing the way I want to create. Being alone in a new city, different country after my own life changing event is making it tough. But seeing most of the pieces I would have in my project, nestled together in this project, gives me so much hope for my creative future.

WOW! An incredibly emotive and compassionate story beautifully told with the power of both stills and moving images. Handled with nothing short of utter professionalism and empathy from you Tommy. You can see the sadness in Hazel's eyes in some of the stills captured in this video, showing her vulnerability at times, but equally, Hazel has such a beautiful, warm and honest soul. I am a firm believer that love and respect go hand-in-hand and if something doesn't feel right, why go through with it and feel more pain afterwards? This story definitely hits home hard and brings a few tears to your eyes, yet remains thought-provoking, honest and above all, beautiful. I have been seriously into my photography for over 40 years now and will be celebrating 16 years since turning professional, in January 2021.I'm constantly learning new things, almost daily and most of the time, I wake up looking forward to planning and working on my next shoot. If I could just take 3 messages from this story, they would be "stop, look and listen" Congratulations to Hazel and to yourself Tommy, for putting this together beautifully and sharing with your audience. Your portraits are classic and timeless - I am sure Hazel will treasure these images, along with her stunning dress, for the rest of her life.

As a wedding photographer myself, I have witnessed so many partners that have gone ahead with the wedding just because they where so afraid of letting everyone down. The pressure is overwhelming and feels immense to them, they feel like there is no escape. It’s very true that men find it harder to speak about feelings as it feels like a sign of weakness, but it’s so not!
Great images Tommy very stylish and timeless, she looked stunning in that dress and I bet she felt so relieved to be able to finally put the dress away and move on without regret.

The first wedding I ever shot, I walked into the church a few hours before the ceremony to set up. The groom was kneeling in one of the pews praying. After he was done, I asked him how he was. He jested, 'oh just praying, how do I get out of this!' He was visibly mortified. After having a couple children, the marriage ended in divorce. I always think about the very beginning.
My karate teacher always joked, 'You know what the #1 reason for divorce is don't you?"
Punchline: "Marriage!"
Roll on snare drum. Everyone laughs. Its really a sad reality.
So much divorce in the world but then there are also those who cannot even ask the time of day from a gal without getting a sexual harassment suit lobbed in their direction so I don't know.....

What a great story, narrative and a brave lady. I was almost lucky enough to have a similar opportunity with a bride (different reason for it not going ahead) and we were going to do a wear the dress in a reclamation/empowering shoot, we missed the timing and the moment past. Really touching shoot and photos to cherish.

Maybe the pressure you felt was the focus on making the ceremony as eccentric as you could. Life is hard enough dealing with the realities.
It like you photographed tiny pieces of her heart. Her thoughts and her perspectives all captured. She spoke of moments where she was a characer and some were her. I feel as if I watched her disclose her vulnerability and her strength. You were able to pull that out of her and that is what you have in these images. Simply stunning Tommy Reynolds.
