Averie aside from law books, do you ever have time to read other books? If so what are your favorite life changing books ?
I know you didn’t ask me but I thought I’d throw my 2 cents in! I’ve found I do have time to read for pleasure it actually balances the normal reading nicely. However I know some students who despise reading now. I think it may have to do with whether you were an avid reader before hand!
A book that changed my life was The Ten Thousand Doors of January!!
its finals week for me too and tHe amount of things i have to memorise for criminal law is criminal. im so jealous of the open book exams!
Open books are huge relief.. but only if you have enough time find answers in your book, sometimes it’s just a fake open book cuz you don’t have time to actually open your book😢

I had an exam this semester that my professor said that "we didn't need 2 hours to complete" and told us to come 20 minutes later than we usually started classes, and by the time we all should have finished the examn nobody had fully finished it. 😅😅

Hi Averie, I think it’s really interesting how you mention that all the exams you’ve taken so far in law school have been open book. Is there a way you structure your notes or mark them to help with easy access during the exam? Also, having multiple 2.5hr exams in a day takes a mental toll, how do you refresh your mental state between them? Congratulations with your position at LVLUP legal!

When you get nervous breathe through your nose into your belly and think about the seal turning in circles
I’ve been dealing with the same problems! I agree with the other comment. Breathe in your nose into your belly and out your mouth slowly a few times to calm down and while you’re taking the test take breaks every few questions to breathe. You got this! 😁
