Thank you for looking at a tricky but a potentially self-illuminating area of Rogerian theory. I will stick with one area of observation that has become more personally significant to me through the years which could be summed up as the question 'how congruent is congruence?' This could be looked at by degree, for example Rogers assertion in his six 'necessary and sufficient' conditions that the councellor is congruent, or in duration which, as suggested in his 'Gloria' introduction that you have used where congruence is desired yet sporadic - "genuineness is a quality I would like to have", "when I have this quality I am all in one piece" and "I would like to have a transparency".
Early in my training, many years ago, in counselling, I learned something of body language - closed body and open posture etc. Shortly thereafter, I found myself resisting the desire to cross my arms or whatever and shortly after that I became unaware of that resistance. I was able to convince myself of a congruence that I did not, in fact, posess.
This realisation was, for me, the awful moment when real learning began.

Love your transparency... You definitely were in congruence to your feelings while teaching congruence 😊

You are good analyst of Carl Rogers Congruence in therapeutic relationship. I understand being genuine in counseling better now. Thank you for this.

My class brought me here (as a video reference). I've been hating to study psychology lately, watching this video reminds me of what I love of it. Thank you so much for making this.

That's great to hear! Thank you :)
I also know that feeling and I now think that it is important to follow and develop your own interests even when there is a fixed curriculum. Of course that is only possible if you have enough time and don't feel overwhelmed.

Why did you stop making videos?

I haven't really stopped - in fact I'll probably never stop. It's just that I have a second youtube channel about statistics for which I also make videos and it's that life (i.e. my job) comes in the way. To be sure, I definitely need to shorten the times between my uploads.

@@jh-psychotherapyandmotivat7680 What is the name of your second channel? Somehow I really enjoy this topic at the moment and, and that is very important to me for the media of a video, I do especially like listening to your voice:D
