One wire is better than no wire, which is better from a snapped wire, which is better that crashing into the carrier. So it's triply better than the worst option. Good enough for me :)
I have NEVER seen someone get cleared to land and not waived off the carrier. No matter how clean you line up. I've been told "you're lined up good to go" and then done a perfect landing, rarely but it can happen, and then got told "waive off!" at the very last second. I don't think it's possible honestly. I think it will always waive you off right as you hit the deck even if you catch the 3 or 4 wire.
I think it’s because the game wants you to have an angle of attack of about 7 degrees. So you have to nose up last minute for the game to think that you did the landing correctly.
The thing I love most about this mission is that there are several different possibilities. You can have the bombers attempt to attack your carrier group, and you have to take them down, you have the scenario in the video, I've even encountered one or two scenarios involving a passenger airliner before.
@@ThunderBatSims it might help if you alt + tab in, but idk. I remember having the same problem when recording this game and I ended up making sure to drag the cursor to a corner every time I recorded
I've been trying this mission over and over. I've completed the objectives several times but I can't for the life of me stick the carrier landing. I managed to catch 4 wires and still went off the end of the deck.
LOl... what... I didn't shoot first and I ended up having to take them all on by myself, got authorized to defend, wingman died in two seconds.. then I tried for half an hour to win... didn't work. Now I know there are different possibilities.
@@iGame360fficial Not really. There's a few pre programmed scenarios which are randomly selected and each scenario has, I think, a 1 in 2 random outcome, meaning you never know exactly what your mission will be and what's going to happen. For example the mission shown could have actually ended up in combat. This is actually one of the attractions of Ready 5. Sometimes it's a boring intercept and escort, sometimes it goes weapons hot, and you're never quite sure.
I have OBS record my headphones, not my Oculus headset audio. The spectator camera outputs video to your monitor and sound to your headphones. If you're not using steam Vr runtime for vtol, then IDK. Open composite screws with audio mirroring in IL-2 Great battles, but I use Steam VR for Vtol
"escort the bomber" follows the fighters that broke off. got job you failed your mission. you only job was to stick behind the bombers and build a fireing solution so you can shoot them down before they can engage the carrier. you followed the fighters so you couldnt shoot down the bombers.

Yall just snuck up on em and was like “yall really ought to go home”

Agree 100% of the countless carrier landings I’ve done I think they didn’t waive me off once and I usually have the ball close to dead on
Yeah you have to be perfect as hell, if they think you going to have a one wire, they’re gonna wave you off
Might be the game itself who have an issue or a weird condition that make the carrier act like that

It is possible i have done it

Yeah I love it. I've started using the same idea for il-2 missions i'm testing
Great Video the deadly cursor was on the screen lol

You forgot CATO trim, flaps and your rear view mirror
Youngsters and their fancy tech confuse me.
Great video! Keep up the good work!
Glad you enjoyed the mission!
I've seen your profile picture being used as phone backgrounds since 2007. Have something commissioned or something. Cool missions, man

Sounds like a general issue. You should be able to practice in one of the default practice missions. You have deployed the hook right?

Good post
Interesting
That's the most download mission for this game...
its different every time.
@@Huntertrapper9 Oh, so it's procedural.. Interesting then.
@@iGame360fficial after watching the video, I went to the steam page. because the video made it look simple.

What's the name of the mission?
How did you record sound from the outside of the cockpit?
I always still hear the interior sounds in my recordings

There is a button in s-cam page that changes audio source from inside or outside the cockpit.

Im 12 and I would get dcs, but I’m afraid it could be too much on me and I don’t wanna waste my parents money lol
