    LiLee, as a mom, I feel so proud of you for being vulnerable and wanting to be an encouragement to others. The fact is that when we try out for things sometimes we don't make it and life and joy go on. Good attitude, girl!

    LiLee - I was cut from my cheer team my senior year. It was a team that I made the year before (and I made a lot of improvements between my junior and senior year). It was one of the most difficult things that I ever went through. Your worth is not determined by the expectations set by others and it took me a long time to learn that. Keep on going and you’ll make the necessary improvements you need for next season!

    Lilee you I am so proud of you 🥳🥰 and even prouder of how you handled your results! You are being so supportive to so many adolescents trying out for things by just showing them what happened and how you feel. Never giving up and understanding you can achieve your goals in time, at your pace, doesn't make you a failure, it makes you human with a healthy mindset. As a gymnast of 8 years, one piece of advice I can give for backhand springs is just locking your arms and practicing over and over, and working on upper body strength because it’s easier to lock your arms without them giving out when you have more arm strength! However you guys are going so great! Keep up the amazing work 💕

    Yay LiLee!! I don't know how the video will end yet, (only 4 minutes in haha) but what ever happens; You did great and working hard to become a better version of yourself is always rewarding wether you make it to your goal on the first try or not!

    I’m no back handspring expert, but I just got my standing back-handspring as well. And Lilees handspring is so good, just one tip to make it amazing and perfect is, try and keep your arms straight and at your ears at all times. Because when I was watching her her arms were kinda bending and far apart. But other than that girly your backhand-spring looks literally amazing!! Also it’s oki u so tried your best and that’s all that matters, thanks for sharing it with us. And I’m not trying to say that your back handspring is bad in anyway, which it is not. Just tryna give you the tips I know

  • @reg2104
    @reg2104 2 года назад +3

    Not sure if you will see this, but LiLee you did so well. There must have been really tough competition. A tip from a former high school cheerleader really make sure that you focus on sharpness and arm placement. For example, I just noticed that in the fight song when it goes "Thor's hammer hits" that K-shaped motion needs to be sharper and make sure that your arms are super straight. Arm placement and sharpness are one thing that you can control no matter what. Flexibility, jump height, back handspring technique, those all come with time and experience that you just didn't have this year. Never give up trying out, I didn't make it my first time either but I tried again and made it. How well you looked this year means that you can only get better and I honestly think you will and will make it next year, so don't give up.

    At my school, we didn't need to tumble and our tryouts were two at a time, we also only did a dance and cheer and jumps, they also emailed results I love how different it is there!

    Omg I started getting the feels at the end!! I am 100% a person who would want my failures not to be posted and I am an adult - Lilee as a teenager is totally showing me up. Her progress while practicing has been tremendous and her attitude is amazing. She would totally do an amazing job if she tried out again but as someone who did a lot of musical theatre… I thought she is a strong dancer and was a good singer as well with that fight song… I’d love to see her consider theatre as well!!
    Great job to Lilee no matter what and I wish her well in all future endeavors!!

    I feel really bad for Lilly because the exact same thing happened to me but I was so confident because I saw all of the other people on RUclips posting videos and they were all making so I thought it would be really easy. I totally feel you girl!!

    When i didn't make my college cheer team i was devastated, I was thinking of not even going to college at all because cheer was the only thing I have ever known. Now as I am about to graduate from the same college in a couple of months, I know that it was for the best. God has so many plans that we don't see, and while it may suck for a couple of days, weeks or months something amazing is going to come out of the hurt! Keep working hard LiLee! It doesn't go unnoticed!!

    Aww Lilee I feel for you so much. I’m over 40 and still remember that feeling so well but it doesn’t take long for that sadness to be replaced by determination and success. Keep at it. Btw you totally should’ve made it. Looked like a perfect fit to me.

    As a gymnast myself, the thing that will make your backhandspring neater is straighting your arms! Try to lock your elbows in a straight posision❤️ love you guys, and GO LILEE❤️❤️
