as a dancer trying to get tumbling tricks, the mental block is a 💯 a struggle that EVERYONE goes through. what works for me is my coach pushes me to get up and keep doing it until i do. i may have been fighting tears and frustrated but that ultimately fueled me to get it even more. with that compassion and renewed motivation i was able to push my self to work through that mental block and do it. now that may not work for everyone but just something that has been working for me ❤

Luke, I feel you sooo hard. Mental blocks are extremely hard to overcome especially after an injury because it is your body's way of protecting itself. Never do something if you don't feel ready!! As a young adult I just want Sadie’s and Luke to be so proud of the hard work and effort they put into those tryouts. I’m so thoroughly impressed by the hard work and motivation and wish I had a grain of that when I was in high school I went to college for musical theater and can I just say Sadiees kicks were absolutely on point
Luke, I have a tip for mental blocks. I’m a gymnast so I get a lot of them. A lot of times we tend to overthink the skill. It helps me to focus on one or two things. Like for example, your set and keeping your chest up for your tuck. Tumbling is just as much of a challenge on your mind as it is your body. Sometimes it can take a while, but you have to be patient with yourself and know that you can do it.
I cried when luke cried! Because I understand that things can be stressful but the thing is, I knew that luke could he just didn't have the confidence to do it. But I am so proud of him! I am really proud of all of them! Good job guys!
Tiffany is such a supporting mom for all her kids so proud of Luke SaiDEE and NayVEE it’s hard trying out for cheer but i am so happy all tried out 🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼
I am I am so, so proud of all 3 kids on putting themselves out there and trying their best. I recently had high school cheer tryouts myself, so i understand the stress they had. The confidence that they all had when going into tryouts is just unbelievable. It takes guts to be able to conquer things like that. I know that God chose the right path for all 3 kids and whatever happened was 100% supposed to happen. To Luke, I am sooooo proud of you for having courage through every single callback that you had. If I had to do that many callbacks, I would be a mess. Even though you didn't make it, you will be even more prepared for next year if you decide to tryout. Great job Luke I am so proud!! To Saidee, I personally think that you did an amazing job. I know that some things seemed tricky at first like the fact that if someone else in your group messes up, you will too, but it is clear that you didn't let those things get to your head. You kept up your confidence the whole entire time and I'm so proud of you for that. You have serious potential for future years if you choose to tryout again!! To Nayvee, Congratulations!! I am so happy for you and I know how excited you must be. You are going to make so many friendships and bonds in cheer and I just know that God will guide you through it all. You may face some challenges, but I know you won't let that stop you from doing the best that you can!! And finally, to Lillee and Tiffany I think that the way that y'all led the three kids through this all is just so heartwarming and amazing. I all most cried when i saw Luke crying its so hard to overcome a mental block i had one with backhandsprings too and it took me nearly a year to overcome it its so hard but if u keep pushing yourself one day u will get it also im very happy for NayVee for making the team poor SaiDee she tried her hardest her jumps were incredible if u didnt have to a backhandspring SaiDee and Luke would of made the team im praying that next year everyone who tries out makes the team i love u all so much bye❤❤
I used to do tumbling and when Tiffany said that Luke used to have his skills and lost them because of a mental block really brought back some negative energy in my mind. I used to have 2 backhand springs on the floor (working on a tuck), 2 back handsprings and a tuck on tumble track, and one day my brain told me I couldn’t do it, and for about 4 months I was just doing round offs on the floor (I could still do one backhand spring on the tumble track). I did eventually quit tumbling because of how it was frustrating me and bringing me down. I do still think I could do my tumble track tricks to this day, but that’s besides the point. Never give up people, especially if you used to be able to do something and you lost it. I know I probably made the wrong decision by quitting, but considering how I was feeling, it felt nesessary. Do what’s best for you, even if that means quitting. Best of luck 🩷🩷
My heart definitely broke for Luke and I exactly knows how it feels to doubt yourself and to not be able to do something that you are afraid. I was a cheerleader for 8 and half years and I was on little league for 5 years and when I got to high school cheer for tryouts all 3 and half years I was not confident in myself either and I was disappointed but I’ve learned from my past cheer coach’s and friends to never give up. We are here for you Luke no matter what and you,NayVee,and Sadiee did an amazing job and you guys all my biggest inspirations!!❤️

Hey all three of you did so good! You should be super proud of yourselves and everything that you've achieved! It takes a lot of courage to even participate in tryouts and you all did it! I know it can feel like the entire world right now, but when you look back at it a few years from now, this was just a tryout. Having an amazing high school experience doesn't depend on making the cheer team this year! The most important thing, and what you will carry with you for life, is believing in yourself, surrounding yourself with people that love you and support you, and follow your heart. You all got that! I really hope you all can see how amazing you are and that you're not being too hard on yourself. As long as you do your best, that's all anyone could ask for and you've got every reason to be proud!

I do tumbling competitively and I got so many mental blocks. The one way I got somewhat over it is my coaches they were super helpful and made me feel that I was able to do it. I still have the mental block but it's not as bad. The mental blocks are just setbacks that are also setups for success later in life. Hope you guys get over them and build more confidence.❤❤❤

I stoped playing soccer. I Tryed to go to a different team but i always started crying. The team i was in was not just my team they were my best friends. I lost all of them. omg the EXACT same thing happened when they forced me to go up in div2. the div 2 coach was harsh. my first ever team means MORE THAN THE WORLD. i dont know where u live, what club ur in but u just gotta push it. i went down div 3 again and i reunited with my old teammates and we hang out like EVERY second after the games on sunday. I didnt quit and i made it with my besties again. im not pushing you but i think you should join soccer again, i completely understand if u dont wanna play soccer!

We all can appreciate how hard Tiffany works because she takes care of herself, her children, and she just a hard working mom. And it's awesome how she can handle all and every single one of them. omg how much i relate to luke! i used to do gymnastics for 5 years, and i had my back handspring, but i was doing my routine in a competition, and it went so wrong, i also landed on my head and the neck pain was realll. i just started cheer this season and im trying so hard to get it back, but my brain just wont let meeee. i js wanted to say well done luke for throwing your running bhs, i think that was really braveee.

I’m a cheerleader and when I was practicing getting my aerial I sprained my ankle badly and I had to sit out of my practices until it healed and when I started working on it again I had a mental block but I overcame it and it didn’t take me a week, it took me a while and a kind, helpful, positive coach

I just tried out for JH 7th and 8th grade cheer last Monday and I made the team!! And I also had the exact same cheer but with “purple and gold” “knights”and “SBJ” I struggled a lot for a little bit and I was stressing about it. But then I just kept practicing and practicing and now it’s muscle memory. I know they will all do great, make the team and will have the best year!!

Luke, I have a tip for mental blocks. I’m a gymnast so I get a lot of them. A lot of times we tend to overthink the skill. It helps me to focus on one or two things. Like for example, your set and keeping your chest up for your tuck. Tumbling is just as much of a challenge on your mind as it is your body. Sometimes it can take a while, but you have to be patient with yourself and know that you can do it.
It can be such a hard thing in the moment! Thank you for the advice! ❤️❤️

I am I am so, so proud of all 3 kids on putting themselves out there and trying their best. I recently had high school cheer tryouts myself, so i understand the stress they had. The confidence that they all had when going into tryouts is just unbelievable. It takes guts to be able to conquer things like that. I know that God chose the right path for all 3 kids and whatever happened was 100% supposed to happen.
To Luke,
I am sooooo proud of you for having courage through every single callback that you had. If I had to do that many callbacks, I would be a mess. Even though you didn't make it, you will be even more prepared for next year if you decide to tryout. Great job Luke I am so proud!!
To Saidee,
I personally think that you did an amazing job. I know that some things seemed tricky at first like the fact that if someone else in your group messes up, you will too, but it is clear that you didn't let those things get to your head. You kept up your confidence the whole entire time and I'm so proud of you for that. You have serious potential for future years if you choose to tryout again!!
To Nayvee,
Congratulations!! I am so happy for you and I know how excited you must be. You are going to make so many friendships and bonds in cheer and I just know that God will guide you through it all. You may face some challenges, but I know you won't let that stop you from doing the best that you can!!

I all most cried when i saw Luke crying its so hard to overcome a mental block i had one with backhandsprings too and it took me nearly a year to overcome it its so hard but if u keep pushing yourself one day u will get it also im very happy for NayVee for making the team poor SaiDee she tried her hardest her jumps were incredible if u didnt have to a backhandspring SaiDee and Luke would of made the team im praying that next year everyone who tries out makes the team i love u all so much bye❤❤

I have soo many to do uhhhh
I used to do tumbling and when Tiffany said that Luke used to have his skills and lost them because of a mental block really brought back some negative energy in my mind. I used to have 2 backhand springs on the floor (working on a tuck), 2 back handsprings and a tuck on tumble track, and one day my brain told me I couldn’t do it, and for about 4 months I was just doing round offs on the floor (I could still do one backhand spring on the tumble track). I did eventually quit tumbling because of how it was frustrating me and bringing me down. I do still think I could do my tumble track tricks to this day, but that’s besides the point. Never give up people, especially if you used to be able to do something and you lost it. I know I probably made the wrong decision by quitting, but considering how I was feeling, it felt nesessary. Do what’s best for you, even if that means quitting. Best of luck 🩷🩷
My heart definitely broke for Luke and I exactly knows how it feels to doubt yourself and to not be able to do something that you are afraid. I was a cheerleader for 8 and half years and I was on little league for 5 years and when I got to high school cheer for tryouts all 3 and half years I was not confident in myself either and I was disappointed but I’ve learned from my past cheer coach’s and friends to never give up. We are here for you Luke no matter what and you,NayVee,and Sadiee did an amazing job and you guys all my biggest inspirations!!❤️

I know it can feel like the entire world right now, but when you look back at it a few years from now, this was just a tryout. Having an amazing high school experience doesn't depend on making the cheer team this year! The most important thing, and what you will carry with you for life, is believing in yourself, surrounding yourself with people that love you and support you, and follow your heart.
You all got that! I really hope you all can see how amazing you are and that you're not being too hard on yourself. As long as you do your best, that's all anyone could ask for and you've got every reason to be proud!

I do tumbling competitively and I got so many mental blocks. The one way I got somewhat over it is my coaches they were super helpful and made me feel that I was able to do it. I still have the mental block but it's not as bad. The mental blocks are just setbacks that are also setups for success later in life. Hope you guys get over them and build more confidence.❤❤❤

A year ago i played soccer. I was in this team since 5 years. But then the team fell apart. I stoped playing soccer. I Tryed to go to a different team but i always started crying. The team i was in was not just my team they were my best friends. I lost all of them. I never played soccer again. It makes me very sad. So i am so happy for luke. I wish i was as confident as him. ❤️

omg the EXACT same thing happened when they forced me to go up in div2. the div 2 coach was harsh. my first ever team means MORE THAN THE WORLD. i dont know where u live, what club ur in but u just gotta push it. i went down div 3 again and i reunited with my old teammates and we hang out like EVERY second after the games on sunday. I didnt quit and i made it with my besties again. im not pushing you but i think you should join soccer again, i completely understand if u dont wanna play soccer!

omg how much i relate to luke! i used to do gymnastics for 5 years, and i had my back handspring, but i was doing my routine in a competition, and it went so wrong, i also landed on my head and the neck pain was realll. i just started cheer this season and im trying so hard to get it back, but my brain just wont let meeee. i js wanted to say well done luke for throwing your running bhs, i think that was really braveee.

I’m a cheerleader and when I was practicing getting my aerial I sprained my ankle badly and I had to sit out of my practices until it healed and when I started working on it again I had a mental block but I overcame it and it didn’t take me a week, it took me a while and a kind, helpful, positive coach

I just tried out for JH 7th and 8th grade cheer last Monday and I made the team!! And I also had the exact same cheer but with “purple and gold” “knights”and “SBJ” I struggled a lot for a little bit and I was stressing about it. But then I just kept practicing and practicing and now it’s muscle memory. I know they will all do great, make the team and will have the best year!!

i honestly wish i was there to hug Luke or to even tell him that he was doing amazing even the guy behind Tiff when she was hugging like, just shows the support everyone has for him, and that he is doing amazing already. It's crazy that Luke hit his running back handspring already, and mental blocks are a hard thing to deal with, but i 100% agree with what Tiffany said, to imagine that there is an angel spotting Luke.
