  • Beef Plate Ribs or chuck spare ribs , these were choice grade found at my local costco, seasoned with sucklebusters ,SPG ,1836 ,texas brisket rub and competition bbq rub.used traeger pro blend pellets started the cook off with my traeger ironwood at 180 with super smoke to get some smoke on that meat , then turned it up to 250 for the remainder of the cook , at 3hrs we spritzed with water checked temp and decided to roll until 4hrs to wrap when the ribs were all between 170-180 internal.once wrapped in butcher paper threw them back on until 200 internal at 6hrs they were done and i rested for 1 hr in my oven just to keep the heat in..all these rubs were great that 1836 really has pepper and packs that beefy pepper punch you may be looking for, the other 2 were mild and delicious not overpowering they usually compliment some pepper and salt . Give them a try or if you have let me know what you think .
