I tried Lubegard 60902 for a sluggish shifting transmission on a 2005 Santa Fe. It has 255906 miles. Thought I was going to have to replace it. Bought it from my Buddhist Temple in 2008 when it only had 500 miles. All the sensors were changed a year ago thinking that would solve to problem but didn’t. I put the Lubegard in and noticed that after around 50 miles it seemed to shift closer to where it was meant to. Now after 150 miles it is back to normal and the gas mileage has increased dramatically.
Thanks Scotty, for another right on tip.

4L60E got water fouled in a storm. 2+ quarts of water entered the transmission. I dropped pan, replaced filter and fluid (a few times) put it back on road and worked fine except TCC shudder, added the smaller 2 oz red packet of lubegard shudder fixx and it drove like a champ for like 4-5 more years until I lost reverse gear. Really happy with the results.

Before LubeGuard shift shudder additive, we used Ford limited slip diff friction modifier XL-3. I still do in my own vehicles. Works like a charm when having the light throttle rumble strips at 40-60 MPH from TCC engagement. Best way to test if that is the cause-Lightly tap your brake pedal enough to trip the brake switch and if the shudder goes away that's what it is.

Additional method(s) for removing corroded/electrolosized wheels. . .loosen all Lug Nuts on the problem wheel, hand-tighten snug and back-off a thread. Drive into a curb hitting that tire/wheel, slowly. Or, drive around slowly and apply the brakes, hard. Check occasionally. Applying the brakes with loosened lug nuts will unfreeze the wheel. It's like being sucker-punched in the jaw.
That's my trick especially with old high-end german cars (and occasionally toyotas). .. which were free to me. The last time I used the mule-kick method. I blew out both wheel bearings.

For $20 it's worth a shot I guess. Worst case is it does nothing and you are looking at a trans rebuild or just a new transmission. That's the way I look at some of these additives. Even if it got you another 6 months or a year with the vehicle, that would be worth it IMO for $20. That being said, that was nearly the last generation of Jeep that was worth buying. The modern Jeeps are nothing like those, and those Jeeps (like the ones shown) could easily do 150-200k without major issues if you just took care of them.
I do wonder though if say you put this into a car that has 100-150k miles, but otherwise is not showing any issues, can it help prevent any issues moving forward, like can it help an already-good transmission or is that ill-advised? (ie. leave it alone if nothing is wrong). I know some people swear by these types of products as a means of preventative maintenance, and some even go to the extent of putting some of these additives in about 1,000 miles before they plan to change the trans fluid for example, for extra protection (Same for some oil additivites and cleaners).

@@KollynJ The transmission on the minivans was average bad, and the civic had a hard time going into higher gears. I'd say i caught them just in time. I used two bottles for the minivan, and one for the Honda. I repeated the process after 3.000 miles. I also changed the trans filters on the minivans, the 92 civic does not take a filter change. GM made a ton of money from the Chevy Cruze because as an inexpensive vehicle it has been very popular with NASCAR and with single people on Social Security. But they quit making it anyway because of the short term economy recovering. Now that the price of gas is nearly double what it was when they did this, it is nearly impossible to find another vehicle that gets close to 50 miles per gallon on the interstates.

Prob needs a transmission fluid drain and fill new fluid (it’s worn out and overheating)
      Don’t do a flush
      And while your doing that
Get gear oil and change the differential oil in the
      Front and rear.
But check if you have a CVT transmission or a regular gear transmission and get the fluid for that type of trans.

Hi..it's usually a solenoid in the transmission..once you get it fixed ..all the codes would go away and it will go forever. I fixed on my 2011 liberty.
      Yes they have a CVT.
It's a Subaru made CVT .. transmission is strong..it's only that little electrical part. Cheers

You would need faulty solenoid replaced with a new one..and changing fluid at least every 100k...would be awesome.

Scotty is right. Dealers are rip off artists. I took my 2011 Ford Fusion to the dealer for "free" state inspection. They failed my car and wanted $2500 to replace the rear lower control arm bushings. I said no. Took it to an independent garage that found nothing wrong. They re-inspected and passed with no issues.
Only go the dealer for warranty work and nothing else. I learned my lesson.

I have a 2006 Ford fusion SE, shakes at idle and some when I drive, 3 people checked it out and not engine mounts, no codes, new spark plugs….coil packs were broke fixed it. I thought maybe throttle sensor or throttle Body but no coded, it delays, car only has 117903 miles on it. Any ideas? Big O tires pulled a fast one and tried to tell me it’s almost like 3,000 worth of fixes….. transmission seems to be in good shape too…..lost here lol

Scotty: I live in Arizona; I took a passenger to the Lucid plant in Casa Grande. This is a massive plant. Outside the plant there must be at least 600-1000 cars just sitting there. The Passenger told me that those cars are ready to ship to Dealers. NONE OF THOSE CARS WERE COVERED . With the strong winds in Arizona those cars must be getting damaged. THE CHEAPEST CAR IS $180,000.00. Who can afford them ? Rich people. I’m a driver for Lyft. I drive a Honda Civic ; getting 35-40 MPG.

I pursally don't want a big car, I like my Cruze, yes I have had some issues with, I have 145,000 miles , I had ole links from the crank shaft which I go fixed at a reasonable
Price compared to a new car which I am thankful. So with that said I think I will keep as long
as it runs. I hope to get 250,000 miles out of it. I guess iam crazy,

It's got a vacuum modulator like the Chevy TH350. double check the hose connection to the intake manifold and use a hand pump to verify the hose and modulator holds pressure. Probably a leaking diaphragm inside that's maybe bittle when cold and softens up after a minute? Replace with aftermarket adjustable one and you can choose your own shift point!
