Hurricane Beryl causes flooding in southern Barbados

Video shows water being pushed onto southern Barbados from Hurricane Beryl.
Hurricane Beryl bore down on the southeast Caribbean early Monday, regaining Category 4 strength after briefly dropping to Category 3.
Late Monday morning, Beryl intensified and now has maximum sustained winds of 150 mph, making it the strongest an Atlantic hurricane has been this early in the calendar year, according to Philip Klotzbach, meteorologist at Colorado State University. We had a 20ft storm surge in Slidell Louisiana from Katrina. We lost most everything from the surge not the winds. Gota say thou, I was raised in S LA and went through many hurricanes 🌀.. standing on the gulf of Mexico Beach in Grand Isle LA a day before landfall was always thrilling to me.
The force of mother nature is both terrifying and exhilarating. You become very aware of just how small you actually are.
