I have been an old car guy my whole life. The 64 Impala SS is my most favorite car that was ever made. With that 409 w/ 2 four barrel carbs, we used to joke that it could pass anything on the road but a filling station ! 😂😂
If I could put any motor in that boat it would be 4.8 ls motor. Trash variation of 5.3 ls. Problem was gas mileage. Guy could do 100 dollars a week at .99 cents gallon.
Thank you for NOT doing a burnout/hole shot. Beautiful 409.
Every time I get in my 64 ss convertible I just smile
I totally get that! 👍🏼

Thank you for the ride in the mighty 409!
Any time!
I remember back in the day when I was a kid they would be sporting dual swept antennas with fender skirts. This was the early mid 60s era.
I think of the SS409 as the ultimate sleeper car. Its the granny car that kicks ass!
So nice. I’m saving up. For a 64 Impala Great video 👍🏼👍🏼😎

You could have ordered a big ass 66 Pontiac Bonneville with a 4 speed manual just to name another.

Yes indeed. Perhaps Chevrolet's attention was on the soon to be released 427.
