- One of the most adventurous and exploratory Yellow Dog trips to date, the team embarks to the Himalayas in pursuit of perhaps the most elusive freshwater fly fishing species on earth: the Golden Mahseer.
Yellow Dog Founder Jim Klug, angling legend Jeff Currier, and renowned film maker Chris Patterson take us along this adventure through the Himalayan backcountry with a full crew to navigate the expansive and at times treacherous waters of Bhutan. They are joined by the founder of Himalayan Flyfishing Adventures Bryant Dunn, current IGFA golden mahseer record holder Bobby Satpal, and highly experienced mahseer guide Jigme Tsuendrup. They navigate class-5 rapids, take in the Bhutanese culture, and fish hard for both golden and chocolate mahseer.

My favourite part of the video starts from 35:36 LOL

I’ve caught golden mahseer on the Nepal side but, Bhutan is certainly pretty much untouched. Great video and will look into this more mates 🤝

❤
A great moment, indeed -- Thank you for watching!
I learned to fly fish as a child, was taught by the local doctor in the small nz town I grew up in.
There are some very special waters here too. Beautiful rainbow trout that live in gin clear fast flowing water.
Some central north island streams hold double figure fish that vanish into cover given even the slightest of mistakes by the angler.
Sight fishing with dry flies, the fishy tales rate alongside the best hunting stories

We ❤ Copper Mahseer in Perak, Malaysia.
It's a religion & I do twice a day, everyday and sometimes it's 2months of nothingness.
Hi! come to Arunachal if you want to catch 10kg + Golden Mahseer .
Great video! ❤ . Is it possible to use artificial lure if you want to fish there?
I find it so interesting how Bhutan and South Africa are so far apart yet the golden mahseer of Bhutan very closely resemble the large mouth yellow fish of South Africa 🤔
They are just like really big yellows.
Apik tenan
Is that a new Cloudveil jacket? 😂of all the cool stiff in this vid, I hone in on the coat…ima gear nerd
Going days without seeing, hooking a fish…. Steelhead fishermen have entered the chat.
An apt comparison, for sure!
Bhutanese paSSopoooOOOOOrtuuh
they look like carp and pike hybrids
38 min add 🤦♂️
While I live the video I must agree that there is way.too much talking. Ruins the video after a bit. Maybe should have increased the length of the video, edit in more actual footage of the trip and let the audience experience the trip with the anglers, balance the video. Instead of explaining everything to the audience let the video prove and speak for itself.
They just jumping fish not flying. Until im see pigs can fly.
Talking, Talking, Talking. Borded me to hell 😢
Too much talking not enough fishing
😂
