Quebec has had a carbon tax since 2007...How can anyone be sitting in parliament and demonstrate such a ridiculous level of ignorance?
Food distributors are affected most by high fuel prices and carbon taxes...it's then passed down to the consumers resulting in hyper-inflation...it's all caused by bad government.
BC also has carbon tax. We just don't really have a rebate, because it is minimal and based on income rather than carbon emission.
I have not lost confidence in Jaghmeet or Trudeau, I am confident they all belong in jail.

@@Sweezy42069 But you're wrong. Corporations don't effect the rate of inflation. As much as I hate Weston's price gouging they aren't in control of monetary policy which is what causes inflation. Corporations just take advantage of the increase in inflation. More competition might help alleviate the prices, but they'd still increase.
The carbon tax applies to every level of food production, processing and sale. It’s compounded at each step and always passed down to the consumer.

This is what happens when you have absolutely no understanding on basic level economics. It's the same reason these people don't understand housing price costs. It's simple: supply and demand. Carbon taxes increase costs on transport of foods/goods/services and farming production, which in turn raises the costs of everything. Is it the primary reason why costs have gone up? No, but it's a main driver along with inflation due to increased government money printing/spending, which the banks adjust interest rates based on.
Who are guys like Trudeau and Jagmeet really beholden to? Rich globalists, the top 1% who absolutely want mass immigration, who absolutely want carbon taxes because it A) Inflates their assets where they store the majority of their wealth and B) Gives them excess labor to exploit from driving down wages and saving them costs on hiring full time employees. Good for the feds because they can inflate GDP.
If you want to talk about a party good for corporate greed - it's the libs/NDP. All they do is appeal to corporate interests and drive wealth inequality. All carbon taxes do is allow the rich to basically subsidize their carbon production at the expense of the poor/middle class. It's comedic.
The only subject should be to bring taxes down, cut the number of Federal Employees by thousands... and after a few months, prices will go down, including housing.

It is not corporate causing food prices and housing rather it is the carbon tax which effects every part of the food as well as the housing. Stuff is transported and that means diesel prices which have increased. Meanwhile, Singh is in designer clothes and expensive brand name accessories and drives an expensive car.
