Satisfactory Update 5 is OUT NOW and Coffee Stain released a trailer for all the new stuff about Update 5! I streamed my live reaction to the big reveal on Twitch but wanted to share it on RUclips as well. So I'll be reacting to the new Update 5 release trailer then sharing my thoughts on everything new!

About Satisfactory:
Satisfactory is a first-person open-world factory building game with a dash of exploration and combat. Pioneering for FICSIT Incorporated means charting and exploiting an alien planet, battling alien lifeforms, creating multi-story factories, entering conveyor belt heaven, automating vehicles, and researching new technologies. The Satisfactory Train update and Nuclear update also adds in trains, train stations, and nuclear power plant to enjoy, if you can handle the nuclear waste that is! In some of our videos, we go over Satisfactory tips and Satisfactory building tips, as well how to build a mega base and manufacturer setup. Our Satisfactory Early Access let’s play ep 1 was started a few months ago, but now we have hundreds of hours since Satisfactory ep 1 and have built a giant base with computer production, supercomputer production, a huge nuclear power plant and hundreds of trains! Our giant train system covers the entire map and gathers uranium, deals with our nuclear waste, and Satisfactory trains are a very satisfactory way of travel!
Satisfactory Update 3 also changed the game entirely adding pipes, Hyper Tubes, the Awesome Shop and Awesome Sink (aka Resource Sink), a new desert biome, a new vehicle, and a ton more! Recently though Satisfactory Update 4 released adding in the very Satisfactory Tier 8 with: plutonium, plutonium waste, a hover pack, the blender, a battery building, ziplines, gas, reservoirs and wells, drones, new space elevator parts, and a whole lot more too!

Satisfactory Update 5 then added in a ton of quality of life features like zooping, train collisions, train signals, and a ton more!
Satisfactory is an FPS open-world factory building sim by CoffeeStain Studios. You play as an engineer on an alien planet as part of the ‘Save The Day’ program - a program whose goal is to construct a massive machine for a mysterious purpose. Conquer nature, build multi-story factories, and automate to satisfaction!

Saw this on the patch notes
- Conveyor Lift Floor Holes. Can be snapped to Foundations to allow Conveyor Lifts to pass through them
- Pipeline Floor Holes. Can be snapped to Foundations to allow Pipelines to pass through them
finally, the lifts can get passed foundations now !!!
I fancy the Trains part the most, but mainly because I obsess over logic/organization and trains that just no-clip aren't enough of a headache. :)
"Conveyor/Pipe Foundation Holes" are very high on my list, signs are great, trains are great, y'know, it's all great.
I think they may have been effectively solved by soft collision.
@@echomande4395 I think what they mean is foundations with a slot made for conveyors as if the foundation had a U shape, although that could be made by offsetting 2 foundations wide enough to fit pipes or conveyor in between and adding a 3rd foundation under the pipe/conveyors to serve as floor, only problem is that it messes up your walls placement
@@echomande4395 I mean you could morph it through the foundations I suppose, or you could use the new holes they added specifically for that in this update that look much cleaner.

Road markings are the best for me. Some cool looking additions incoming to factories across the web.
Being new to Satisfactory, I'm most looking forward to the Dedicated Servers.
they are nice, but (at least for now and a while) they will have the same limitation of 4 players for multiplayer, and only offer the ability to let someone else (even a commercial provider) let a world run independently from a specific player. but as they said "maybe modders will increase that limit, just like in the normal game, but without official support.

Your reactions are so wholesome I swear. I just got off a bunch of gamer reactions to Sora in Smash Bros and it's so much ear-bleeding screaming. I love the quiet "Wow!" and "That's so cool!" responses.

really like the painting options and the signs, especially the ability to mark the roads etc. Thsi is EPIC!!!!!!!!!
honestly, after I watched the trailer myself and took a peek in game, my first thoughts was.... how is ImKibitz going to react
When I started playing Update 5, it was frustrating trying to get it to work, but all of the additional stuff they added had me questioning if I still had mods on.
The color gun was the most unSatisfactory thing in the game, so I'm immensely pleased to see it gone.
will my many storages with color cartridges be empty now ? :-(

Dude SAME! I honestly thought they actually might've added it for a second there haha!
maybe, or maybe not ... that video was prerecorded, and during the 4 hours of countdown, the idea of golf was hyped a lot, with varying numbers as goals, and finally, golf votes had increased from1500 by almost another 1000 ... thus one could argue now that jace's golf got us the dedicated servers and the votes got us golf (for update 6?) ... best of both worlds ? :-)
Maybe replace the cyber truck with one of those insulated bouncy balls that people can go into, and set up bounce pad courses?

an endgame goal would be nice. what are we building at the top of the space elevator?
Tier 10. get a continuous flow / high rate of end game materials up the space elevator.
cinematic where we launch 10,000 pods full of us robots off towards new planets/wormholes from the top of the space elevator would be nice.

Or maybe at top of space elevator we built a chair the size of half the planet. And a giant space baby lands in it and starts playing with the trains like a toy. And rest of playthrough game+ you can see the giant space baby in the sky
I really hope they fixed choppy vehicle movement in multiplayer when playing with far away people. I have a friend across the Atlantic and I could never get vehicles to work properly, it was super frustrating.
That is a latency issue. There is a way to solve it, but it is very difficulty to implement without dedicated servers. So hopefully those will eventually smooth that out

my most exciting feature was the lore tidbit thing in the sign section, I posted it to the ImKibitz subreddit, but ill sum it up here
on the sign with the space elevator to the left of the main sign it says food court.
What did Kibitz think was something the space elevator was doing? Building a food court. What did the sign say? Food Court.
another sign read "hub factory" with mixed orange and black background :-)
satisfactory is just at this point a 3d factorio and i love it

The graphics just look way better. I know they didn't mention anything about lighting improvements but it seems like some big changes happened and I love it.

Well I'm certainly not bothered about the dedicated servers as I don't have any friends who play the game.
OKAY, OKAY, It's actually because I just don't have any friends, let alone friends who play the game or any game for that matter.
Im excited for the building aspect of this game more than ever.

This update is EPIC!!!
but (at least at first) the servers will be available from steam :-)
they can be downloaded by anyone who has a steam login, by selecting tools (instead of only games or soundtracks, etc) and then be used by anybody for satis on steam and epic, and are also free to use by commercoal hosters (if they want).
Been waiting for this update for so long , i played the game a fair amount about 6 months ago but suffered from some of the changes they made wrecking my world and was waiting for this huge update to start the game a fresh , CANT WAIT !
FYI: Trains, transporting liquids are bugged right now.

To be fair, I want gardening feature in this game. We can collect the fruits or nuts, mixing along with soil to grow them up on ourselves for health breather to be created automatically and infinitely.

there is 1 thing i ceep thinking on they should ad. you have storage systems in minecraft where you can see annything you have in storage. so am thinking. what if they did somthing simular. then you dont need to rund donkey all over the map just to finde a simple cable. i think somthing like that would fit pritty well into the game since its kinde of space inspired game.

I'm excited for the Customizer tab. It cleans up the build menu and makes things MUCH more organized. Hopefully the mod authors will use it when the mod manager gets updated.
I’m pretty sure soft and complex clearance is what propelled Josh’s rise to godhood.
I got this game about a year ago after the Fluids update 0.3.6 and I've yet to play it. All these new features make me nervous to even try now! There's so much to keep track of!
Don't worry about it. It's only overwhelming if you look at it all at once.
When you start playing you'll be confronted with small bits of information at one time, you will be alright.
Just get in there and start automating, it'll be a lot of fun, trust me.
(Even more so if you've got anyone willing to aid you on your quest to automating the world, now with dedicated servers)

Kibs, turn off your factory power so the trains stop, that would probably save it. Alternatively use the browser to turn them all off.

I love this game, and Coffee Stain community managers are wildly entertaining, and the company as a whole are as far as I'm concerned as near perfect a game dev as can be said to ever have existed. I've only been playing since about 2 months before update 4 dropped, but I quickly learned that they essentially release an almost new game with each major update.
I think for me the thing that excites me most about update 5, is probably a tie between the Northern Forest rework and the new build ablesthey've added. The northern forest is so beautiful and atmospheric now, and the lighting and fog they've changed up along with it, is honestly gorgeous. The building changes have made it so that someone like me, a self aware un-creative person, can actually feel that spark I can only imagine is a raging fire kindled within actually creative people!
Honestly coffee stain studios is my favorite studio, so refreshing and fun content.

these are great.. CS is the best!! and they are 100% adding a golf event like the xmas event now... I can't help but be curious what they will be doing next, it seems like theres not much else they could add beyond 1.0 content and maybe limited blueprint capability
