- This is part of my story: I grew up woodworking and apprenticing under my father. He was a shop teacher for 33 years & a woodworker his entire life. Some of our best memories were in the shop or on the job-site. I’m an engineer by training, but leader by trade. I've moved around 6x during the past 10 years for my job in the Army. I've renovated several houses & built furniture for my family, friends and customers along the way. Its not easy to keep a shop that’s both fully-capable and moves easily, so I designed my layout to solve most of those challenges.
In 2015, I was encouraged to share some of my experience and passions for teaching, woodworking & doing so in a 'small' footprint. This was when I launched my business, Benchtop Woodworks. This has all been in my limited 'spare time' I have been deliberate to not allow it to compete with family time and other priorities. Sorry, Chris. Maybe there's a trailer build in the future sometime. I didn't even realize this was visible to those not visiting the page, haha. My old one had kind of an obnoxious background track, so I swapped it out for this.
@@benchtopwoodworks All of that equipment on a dedicated trailer with electric leveling would be a good project for a portable jobsite workstation.
Hi your request to hit the bell icon is problematic for your viewers who watch RUclips via the Smart TV app. We only have access to the like button. In this instance I jumped into RUclips on my IPad and clicked the bell icon as requested. I expect the majority of TV app viewers will only click on the like button.
Ewen, thanks for letting me know. I didn't know that. I recently learned that many subscribers are not receiving notifications. I understand that RUclips's intent (outside of notifications) is to recommend videos based on perceived preferences. I really appreciate you taking the time to do that! 👍
@@benchtopwoodworks Every week I go to my subscription list and catch up with my outstanding videos, case in point your latest video. On family casual viewing through the week I noticed only videos recently accessed were on the “Latest Videos” line and I did wonder why some subscribed channels did not appear. After looking at the bell icon tonight I realised why not. Only when the bell icon is clicked will every new video go to the “Latest Videos” list. Strange how we can’t access it on the Smart TV app?
