Oh man, I just heard you say that you were going to move on. The truth is, when it comes to Larry Bird, you’ve only just scratched the surface. Believe it or not, it’s not time to move on from Larry Bird yet.
You hit the nail on the head: Larry was the most entertaining player. He made watching basketball so much fun. Magic wasn't far behind in that ability. So, that is why their rivalry brought so many people back to basketball and, yes, built the house back up that had fallen out of popularity. It was exciting AND enjoyable. I sometimes laughed out loud at things he did, from sheer amazement.
The video "Larry Bird video "greatest passer with re-edit/new footage has a lot more passes and tons of full court passes that hit their mark every time.
I lived in Phoenix in the 80s. When Bird came to town, I always tried to get a ticket. I was successful twice in ten years. When any other team came, I could always get a ticket. Even the Bulls with Jordan. That became mission impossible in the 90s.
"He's way too cool with it." Yeah, I knew it but didn't know it until you said it. Spot on. He's a warrior machine. I always call him Field General Bird.
Watching videos on Larry Bird's injuries makes what he did even more astounding. Even when he was so injured that he would leave games and go straight to the hospital at the end of his career or spend the night before the game in traction at the hospital, he was still the most impressive person on the floor. The final season game against Jordan and Pippen, after the other Celtic stars were washed up, Bird comes back from surgery and injury recovery and he wins the game with Jordan and Pippen guarding him.
Just like that ancient saying says: "Jordan made you look slow. Bird made you look stupid." Speaking of Jordan, he said Larry's game has no holes or weaknesses. And he knows very well because his record against Bird's Celtics was 11-24. Jerry West said Larry is about most complete player there is.
Great analysis. As an old Knick fan, what I will tell you, as someone who is old enough to have watched Bird, is that we hated him so much because he always found a way to beat us. He always found a way. It was maddening.
You honestly haven't seen anything yet. Watch his passing videos. Watch the videos about his injuries. Half of his career his back was broken. Had a finger shaped like a boomerang. On and on and he played anyway.
I’m late to the party. 🤪 Thanks for showing Larry some love, I’ve really enjoyed your videos on him. I wanted to say that I really like your natural down to earth vibe. You seem like a really great person. Thanks for what you do. May your views and likes always be equal. 👍🏼👍🏼

Bird is a top 3 passer. He did average close to 7 Assist I believe but he had to score the ball at a high rate unlike other great passers. I wish I could have spoken with Larry's late mother. I would have said she raised a hell of a man, but didn't she teach him not to play with his food?
Larry always knew where everyone was on the court, and his passes were too quick to be intercepted.
