After Ken Block, I think people are nervous about snow injuries. I probably would have panicked as well had I been there and not known what was coming.
But in hindsight, that's hilarious.

You guys always give me a laugh. My dad has been in the hospital since November after suffering a massive stroke. My sister just passed away this Saturday, the 21st...so this video gave me a much needed laugh! 🙏

Evil Knievel was my hero back in the 70s and when my dad got me a motocross bike at age 11, i jumped on my dad's tractor and built myself a ramp to jump my bike from, Problem was i dug down then up., and in the hole i dug for my said ramp is where my front wheel stayed and the rest of me and said bike went ass over first. Man did learn something then,. Sure do love what you guys put out there. makes me feel young just watching. be safe you all. Chook from NZ.
Y'all for sure need some of the smaller airboats that are built with everything lower so that they have a lower center of gravity. They would be a blast on the snow. Airboats like the one you have and most others are built with the rigging and seats really high so when the operator is running through tall grass and stuff like the everglades, swamps, and southern lakes are full of they are sitting high enough to see over it. And some smaller hull airboats like they use for drag racing are built with everything sitting much lower so they're more stable due to the COG being lower. If I got an airboat for the snow I would want a fully decked over 14 to 16-footer. with an LS putting out around 650hp and 650lbf of torque. It would go just about anywhere you wanted with no problem. lol. I've never thought about it before right now, but they make hydraulic trim tabs for airboats, and it would be cool if you could somehow brace them well enough so that you could add something to the plate that would dig into the snow when you activated them and work like a brake. I know they wouldn't stop you on a dime, but they would help slow you down. Unless you went with something like them just a bit bigger so that they pushed something deeper and stronger into the snow.
That boats been sitting someplace where theres some electricity leaking into the ground. Thats what caused that spot of electrolysis.on the hull!! Need to put a couple weld on or bolt on zinc blocks on the hull to prevent that kinda damage to it again! Have fun guys, Looks like ah blast as always!!
after moving to florida from new england and experiencing all two seasons here a bit and loving it, this series actually makes me miss having nothing better to do other than fuck around and find out when theres snow outside

UV stabilized UHMW is best, standard will dry rot pretty quickly. King plastics also make a Vhmw called hy-pact which works great for exterior heavy wear applications. I use it on snowboard boxes and it holds up great

Should use Steelflex, or Frog Spit or Gator Glide. they are roll on, slick bottom coatings that we use down in the Everglades on airboats. Way better than the sheet of poly.

Time to find a 4" solid steel pole 12 feet long. Bury it in the ground several feet and throw one of those Yankum ropes on the airboat at it's center of gravity, attach it to the pole and see how fast you can run big circles! Go slow for the first few laps making a track, then try and get a little bit of a bank all the way around and full throttle...keep her straight or she'll probably flip hard! Just an idea!
