I have a potential theory to explain this: The window has a trigger that starts the event after 1.5 seconds (It starts without a horde scream, at least sometimes), and the end saferoom has another trigger that immediately ends the event. The window's trigger has a filter that only allows survivors to activate it, but the end saferoom trigger lacks a filter - This means that Special Infected can activate it. It's possible that someone ran out and went straight towards the end saferoom, prompting the event to start (silently), but then a Special Infected spawned at the end of the map and walked through the trigger that ends the event, causing it to end almost immediately afterwards.

Rewatching the video with your theory in mind, I think it was highly possible that Zoey rushed to the saferoom. Given that she wasn't around when we entered the area, and both Bill and Francis were with me until we entered the house. Re a special infected ending the crescendo event by accidentally hitting the saferoom trigger, I'd have to ask Zoey to be sure (if she remembers, haha). BUT! I did notice a roundish carcass-looking lump along the way that I think was a boomer. Could be the SI we're looking for. 🤭
